Ever see something that doesn't NOT make sense, but doesn't make much sense either. Me too.

Wanted to properly introduce you to the Grands,
This is Kehmonnie to your Left otherwise known by a bunch of names but we'll just stick with
Ms. Monnie for now.
To your right is Ajahnis, otherwise known as AJ.
They are my grandchildren, Aj is older than Ms. Monnie by almost 4 months, but she's taller, protective & bossier.
They are my photography life line...
I left those mummy and daddy Oreos alone for one night, and when I returned they had spawned lots of baby Oreos. Guys, my house isn't big enough for all of you. Guess I have to eat you :-)
ADX retreat this weekend in Bakersfield! This is Mama Fiel's rose garden (so pretty) and our beautiful ADX pledge flare was my model. She has a wonderful heart for Jesus and is someone who appreciates small things, makes the best out of any situation and never forgets to have fun. And she likes country music so she automatically gains brownie points in my book ;) Okay enough bragging about our pledge babies for now.

Project 50 Challenge - 28/50
Today I was struggling to find the inspiration and motivation...double whammy. I hopped in the car and went down to the fjord as the sun was setting to take the safe sunset pic as a last resort. I think I lucked out and was able to find a couple of shots other than the sunset shot...but I got that one too just in case :)
No sooner than posting my final project50 photo that I get called out on one of my shots by @photosip.
It's all about addiction and besides drugs and alcohol there are other things you can be addicted to like.... twitter. I twitter everywhere: home, work, going to the store, getting gas, just about everywhere. And when the fail whale makes it appearance... ooh don't even start!
This also gave me a good excuse to try out onOne Software's DSRL remote for the iPhone. The camera was tethered to my MacBook running an ad-hoc network to which the iPhone was connected to. So while it may look like I'm twittering on the iPhone, I'm actually triggering the camera... neato burrito eh?

Project50 1/50
So this is a project with in a project, 50 days of Photos taken at 50mm. The cool thing about this is that three of my friends are doign it too. Phil, Jamie & Ashley are all doing the project too, & check this out for awesomeness, all our first pictures are on the same theme… "A Few Of Our Favourite Things" bad ass.
P.s. I have blogged about this.
But Euripides says "A bad ending follows a bad beginning."
Many of you know I love my Pontiacs. I'm considering purchasing this one, for less than a grand.
The Dante factors (pluses) are:
1972, second owner
factory buckets
factory console
factory air conditioning
factory power disc brakes
original running motor
original transmission
numbers matching
bumper guards
fender covers
all four T3 headlights
all bright-work in good shape
The Euripides factor (minuses) are:
needs entire roof replaced
need passenger quarter replaced
need half trunk pan replaced
misc rust repair ie lower fender extensions, possible foot well drive | passenger
windshield replacement
I think the bad may outweigh the good. I'm comfortable with all the repair work except the roof replacement, as you would have to find a donor car and torch the top. This car, sadly enough, would make an excellent donor car (stripping parts off as needed) which is nearly entirely against my creed when it comes to classic cars.
Dante? Euripides?
The buckets, console, power disc brakes, and running drive train are enough to justify the price. The excellent bright-work from the front clip would be an extra added bonus.
Dante? Or.... Euripides?
Fuck. Why do people let these things get this bad? With a little judicious storage management, this car could easily have brought $5k, hands down.
Seriously.

So this is my arse advertising the iPhone. I see lots of girls taking SERIOUS shots of them cradling their iPhones or MacBooks, and I think... You look kinda stupid. Here's my lighthearted attempt at the same thing.

Tonight I had a very lucky moment. I'm struggling to position myself and poor Danbo in the middle of the street for tonight's shot when dude from the sidewalk says "Hey man, what's going on down here".
Up I looked as I dodged oncoming traffic to find another stranger.
You got a second for a quick portrait? Where you headed?
"To The Job" Pretty ninja answer if you ask me. Thanks bro (NOT Batista).

Project 50 Challenge - 41/50
What do you do once it stops raining...head out the door with your camera right??? Well maybe not all the time, but this time I did. I found this on top of a trash can in the park near my house. At fist the pattern of the water caught my eye, but then the reflection of the nearby tree was a bonus.
So, I figured I should try do some more serious shooting, have been a bit lazy lately. Starting today I will shoot one "serious" picture a day, and spend time on the setup and/or editing. I will continue this for fifty days.
This is a glas of beer to celebrate the start of my vacation, it's an Overall IIPA brewed by To Øl and Mikkeller.

I cried :(
Today I went with my mom and sister to officially adopt her cat, who ran away/was picked up a few days ago. This isn't him.
This is just another reason I hope I never have to set foot in a pound again. Ever. I can't handle it.
I'm sooooo sad :(
Please, please, pleeeease go out and adopt yourself a pet if ever you feel a need to fill a hole in your heart <3
The End!
I've successfully taken one 50mm photo every day for 50 days! I feel a little accomplished :)
The next project? Project De Colores!

This shot was from Breakin' Hearts 2011, the annual hip-hop event which I was hired to shoot tonight! I LOOOOVE shooting these types of events <3 I've been dying to go to this for years, and I was absolutely ecstatic when I was called to get in for free AND shoot it AND get paid :D :D :D
Hooray for a great life! And now to edit the 300+ photos!
Ooh, I'm rich...oh wait... :(
Ashley, who originally inspired me to start Project 50, began doing a theme each Monday. This Monday it was Japan/Japanese. I could have easily taken a photo of my japanese niece but you guys are probably tired of seeing her. Here is some Japanese money that I've saved from last years trip to Japan.

A shot down the entrance to Riverbank Lane here in Hamilton. The shutters were down so had to squeeze the little 50mm through one of the tiny gaps - only just fit. I'll go back another time when it's fully open to get a better shot...

Dave is really excited about his new find - "My Adventure Scrapbook: 50 things to do before you're 11 3/4". Being that Dave is only 4 3/4 he's got quite a while to be getting on with his list. He's keen on recording his adventures through photos so keep you're eye out for Dave's activities, including star gazing, camping, cave exploring, kite flying and many more!
