I returned home from work today, to find Dave slaving away over a hot stove, making an actual pie of mud... I really must do something to avoid this continuous confusion. As usual I haven't got the heart to explain what a mud pie is, so I have promised him I will certainly taste it...after he's gone to bed...

Been craving these since yesterday so had to russell some up for lunch...they did not disappoint nom nom nom

I took this of Aj, we were at the park and he said Mima I don't feel to good.

I said well lets call Gran'pa to come pick us up as we had walked to the park.

So I made the call & we talked a bit, he then said it really hurts, my tummy.

Me thinking OK couldn't be that serious I teased him, well you aren't gonna cry are you Granny will take a picture of it, he burst in to tears as I was taking this picture, poor baby.

It isn't always fun, sometimes it's sad.

PS. We gave him stomach medicine when he got home, he is all better now...

The wife and I have been looking into getting into a much bigger house. We've been interested in a few particular areas and so tonight we had yet another tour of a potential home.

Well....It wasn't in the cards. They did have some nice tomatoes though ;)

Been so busy today had no time for anything, Aj's got a Birthday coming up, gonna be the big 4!

So most of my day was spent doing party prep stuff.

Since he's gonna be the Birthday boy helped me by letting me shoot my 2nd in my series of Project50.

Lighting Courtesy of Ainsley Joseph, he's great & I'm a work in Progress, lol.

I've got my son this weekend so I was a little behind on editing and posting this from yesterday. PLUS, the new season of Gold Rush started last night and I have to admit, I'm a bit hooked on that. Never missed an episode.

On the TV note, I have to say I'm already having Boss withdrawals. I know a lot of people don't watch that one but let me tell you, it's a total kick ass show. I'm beginning to think that Showtime is probably the best Network on television. Boss, Dexter, Homeland, House of Lies, Shameless....rocking. If Showtime is the best network, Sunday is the best night. Some new The Walking Dead coming my way on Sunday as well. Going to be a good winter.

GOD I love my job SO much!!

Had the most beautiful engagement shoot with my friends Benny and Krista <3

Love these guys, love these photos, loved this session, love all around!

The ring itself could use a tad more focus, but you know what? I love this too much to care.

In all the years I've been shooting, I have NEVER needed more than one 4gig card for one session that wasn't a wedding. Until today! These guys are gonna be getting photos for AGES!

Didn't feel to good today, but I looked into my own backyard and in my eyes I had traveled a million miles away...

So just like Dorothy said there is no place like home, no place like home, lol.

We are moving into a tough part of the project as it was my first day back in work after a fortnight off. Obviously this meant I had less time and also that I was away from home for 48 hours.

I was able to get off campus briefly during my lunch break, and found this picturesque bench covered in fallen autumn leaves.

Won's very happy when we're off to see the flowers. :D

Day 13 in Project 50

I was much earlier awake than planned today and I saw it was going to be a beautifull morning. Normally I'm not the kind of person who will wake up this early on my day off, so this was a good oppurtunity to take some sunrise pics in my neighbourhood.

Beatrixpark, named after our Queen, is just a 5 minute walk from my home. And it's phantastic this morning!

Mini donuts paradise! :D

Have a sweet week, my dear friends!

Again, I forgot that minions possess more eagerness and spirit than intelligence and thought. Dave was sure he'd cracked this one from the off, and when I saw how proud he was, I didn't have the heart to tell him about his small error... The horse however wasn't so impressed.

This is my nephew Jordan, son of my youngest brother David.

Keep in mind that there are eight of us four girls, four boys.

He wanted some photo's taken in his fave outfit.

He got bored rather quickly, but we got several that he loves.

I used one flash / strobe & 1/2 CTO gel in a shoot through umbrella triggered by Radio Poppers.

Ah yes, Sunday. Doesn't it just make you crazy to find out Sunday is almost over? Does me. Nothing is more dissatisfying than realizing that a normal life lies for me when I wake.

The wife was off tonight so we decided to check out a new place in town for dinner (after a quick family stop on the way).

The place was a little red around the neck for me, but they're supposed to have some good BBQ so why not check em out. Well, they didn't.

Thought I'd document the only trip I'll ever make to this place with a quick booth shot. I used to do these all the time but, for some reason, got away from them.

OH YEAH, in other news, I ordered a new lens today (wonder what ever could it be???) AND, I'm going to be an uncle for the third time. Eventfuly weekend after all.

I'm going to eat you.

The lighting in my house wasn't very good today, for it was a gloomy, rainy day here in Scotland. I had another idea for my Project 50 shot, but while sifting through my wardrobe for my props (which were no where to be seen), I came across my bear hat. I have two, y'see.

I used to wear this to high school, and surprisingly I wasn't picked on. Maybe because everyone thought I'd eat them if they did. I also think this face is why I'm single. Rarr!

50/50: Day 5

Posted kinda late but here is my day 5 shot. I didn't really know what to shoot today ... It's Saturday so I was just veggin' ... but I seen these sockets in the garage and thought that I could arrange them in a way that would look cool ... In a way they sort of remind me of bubbles. Maybe I should of titled this post Urban Bubbles or something ... lol ... oh welllz

Here is yesterday's shot. I was pretty much a lazy bum on this one and elected to spend some time gaming instead of doing anything productive... That is, if you don't consider the slaughter of thousands of digital zombies to be productive.

Here's the desk in the office lying in wait.

Lit by the Mac.

Well, yesterday was Tupac's birthday. We hung out and had a few drinks. I'm not allowed to say where he is though. Anyways, sometimes I feel like it's just me against the world...and I'm on the short end of it all. It's okay though...

At about 4pm today I started scribbling out ideas for my site. Y'see, I'm not really happy with it, and I had a better idea. I built a quick mock-up in an hour (I can't do Photoshop... I'm no good at it), and took a shot of it for Project 50 since I'm going to be busy tonight (and have been all day).

There's way more to get done. I'm flexing my creative guns with this one.

50/50: Day 2

Blueberries!!! ... haha IDK, still on my fruit thing I guess.

So yeah, I was just getting a bowl to put a few blueberries in so I could snack on, (lol trying to eat healthy) and I noticed that we had these cool looking red & white ceramic bowl thingys. I immediately thought of July 4th since it's just around the corner. So I pulled the strobes out real quick and snapped a few shots trying to pull off the Red, White, & Blue idea I had. This is what I ended up with, I dig it =]

I also shot with my 50mm for a second day in a row, so I think I'm going to try the 50/50 challenge (50mm for 50 Days). It seems like something I could stick to, because the 365 project is just to crazy for me, I wanna do it, but at the same time I don't think I could keep up ... lol ... So i'm gonna rock the Nifty Fifty and hopefully I get to know it better =] ... and oh yeah this counts as day two & yesterdays was day one ... lol ... just saying!
