i have two hydrangea plants in my yard.
one produces pink flowers.
the other purple.
this plant is over a foot tall...
and has quite a few flower buds...
that haven't opened yet.
these two blooms will continue to grow in size...
and the pink color will become much more vivid.
Day 34! missminie.blog.com
There's still plenty of snow on the ground, and it's just warm enough to do more than run back and forth from the car :)
My sister and I hopped out to take this shot while I wan out paying my rent. Good times :)
I didn't get to the barber this weekend..maybe I'll catch up with him during this upcoming week. If not, I'll continue to rough it out. We shall see.

Strobist: Bare 430EXII camera right (Just behind subject) Shoot through Umbrella broke due to lack of care and attention!
I don't know what possessed me to go outside this evening to take today's daily. It's just hot here and it's gonna get hotter soon.
I realized I hate talking self portraits because I have to figure out were the focus is gonna be an the whole process just takes too long, especially when it's burning out.
Taken ideas from what I did before in this photo here and in this photo here I knew that I would have to run the flashes bare and at near full power. With at least that much already planed out I saved myself from time from being burned up by the heat.
This is "Madeline's Van" according to my daughter. Of course she would like a pink S2000 like Sharpay Evans

50/50: Day 1
Dude! I hadn't eaten an apricot in so long I had almost forgotten how good they tasted. I must've eaten at least a dozen today ... lol ... Mad props to my buddy who hooked me up with some =] ... & I took a picture of them just for the sake of taking a picture, heck ... it gave me a chance to work on my natty light skillz ... ha ... because I seriously need to ... lolz!
& I'm thinkin' smoothie for breakfast ... yum! =]
If you know why, you've been paying attention. If not, you don't wanna know...
Funny how my best days come from the strangest things that most would not consider part of a 'best day'. I love my life <3
And I love my fans <3
And I love my friends <3
And I am so thankful for my talent, and my ambition, and my endurance, and my honesty. Thank you all for your love and support! Especially through these last couple of days. I love having the world on my side when shit tries to hit the fan. I won't keep quiet. I have nothing to fear and have done nothing wrong. And I won't allow myself to be harassed. I've been homeless, abused, rejected, and still I shine like a motherfucker.
If you'd like to donate, purchase a print, or book a shoot, please contact me!
The last days I cogitated about my photographic and English skills. I think know I have to improve my English, moreover it would not half bad if I take and process more photos. Therefore I will start my "Project50". The next 50 days I will take, upload and write every day at least one image and one picture-description . In addition to that, I will only use my 50mm to take the images.
I'm excited if these will take effect :)
and I really appreciate any comments or feedback you can give me on any of my images & description

Trust me, with this beast in the house, I can tell you it's true. Tonight, he proved me right. The wife had a night off so we decided to take advantage of the awesome night and go to the park with the dog and have a walk. Doesn't seem like anything special but we don't get a chance to do that very often.
It didn't take long to figure out that Roscoe really doesn't care much for the rides in the car or for being on walks with other people around...unless he has a chance to sniff sniff sniff....
Back home for a picture and to watch a little TV before we both have early days. Tomorrow is a rather big day as I'm having my first shoot for the magazine (I'm still going to hold the name to myself until it gets publish so I don't jinx it). Tough thing is, it's an interior shoot. Something that I've never really been too confident about so it should be interesting. I'm sorta excited to be pushed and I'm anxious to not screw it up...lol
I'm sure tomorrow's shot will have something to do with it. Wish me luck!

It was a lovely afternoon with a random group of friends.
They just didn't know but it was really work & no one felt like it was.
Thank you, team! :D
That's Nadine, she's my good friend Chinx's good mate since high school. She's cool and is most definitely an awesome model. :)
You'll see more of her soon :)
& she's here, too. This is not a blog.

Project 50 - Day 14
Took my 50mm with me bird ringing today (I would normally take the 18-70) and before the deluge we caught this absolutely brilliant bird!
This is an alternate shot from this day www.flickr.com/photos/m_edgesby_tb/4958893850/in/set-7215... of my Project50.
While I like this one I couldn't use them both & the original shot is what I was going for when I shot it.
The lighting setup is the same...
~metallica, fade to black
bet you didn't think i was a metallica fan, huh? well, i am.

Ok, I don't find my way around the front very often but tonight I ran into the situation where I had literally about 15 minutes total before all hell broke loose with severe thunderstorms. AND, I wear sweaters....so what. The name was inspired by The Greyboy Allstars. V Neck Sweater was playing on my spotify when I was on the way to shoot this.
I also had to get a strobist shot in because my new Pixel King triggers came in. Who could put the gear away without at least shooting ONE image right?
The lightning was coming fast and loud (which by the way is an AWESOME show, check it out) so I had to act fast.
Another reason? Sure, why not. I had some more editing to do, as was to be expected of late.
Now I'm all caught up on nearly everything so I'm off to bed a little early. The wife's in New York tonight (lost on the subway trying to get to Times Square right now) so guess what.... I GET ALL DEM PILLOWS!

More food photos what gives? Well we ended up at the Epicurean Affair at the Flamingo Hilton in Las Vegas, NV. Of course I was stuffing my face instead of taking pictures. I did, however, remember to get a photo in for my daily.
This is a raspberry something desert from Steakhouse 46. By the time I got around to this side of the venue I was completely stuffed. So instead of eating it I decided to photograph it.
It was quite busy but I managed to find a spot at the end of the counter to setup the shot.

I was obeying the rule of thirds when I took this! Well there are three of them aren't they, lol.
Pay me no mind I just felt silly...

Ah the life of a photographer's wife/husband. I discovered an AMAZING benefit to my new strobe triggers tonight which completely floored me to be honest.
For those who know, I have a beast of a dog named Roscoe. True, he is a beagle, but he's been raised by a ninja, this is important to note.
Recently, he somehow was able to get a firm mouth grip on my new Pixel King trigger's manual. He made short work of that pretty quickly (it never stood a chance).
This event left me fending for myself in trialing my new gear. This makes the learning curve a bit steep as I uncovered some of the pros and cons of these new gadgets. I finally wrapped my head around Manual shooting with them though tonight instead of using ratios or ETTL which was friggin sweet.
Now that I have unlocked that secret, I'm twice as excited to test out some new ideas that I was unable to really do the way I'd imagined with my older Cactus triggers. Makes me want to most likely write up a little review after a month or so of really pushing their limits now.
Anyway, since I now had a reason to make the wife sit down in front of the camera, here she is ;) Lovely isn't she? Say yes, it's just easier if you do.

Wanted to properly introduce you to the Grands,
This is Kehmonnie to your Left otherwise known by a bunch of names but we'll just stick with
Ms. Monnie for now.
To your right is Ajahnis, otherwise known as AJ.
They are my grandchildren, Aj is older than Ms. Monnie by almost 4 months, but she's taller, protective & bossier.
They are my photography life line...
I left those mummy and daddy Oreos alone for one night, and when I returned they had spawned lots of baby Oreos. Guys, my house isn't big enough for all of you. Guess I have to eat you :-)
ADX retreat this weekend in Bakersfield! This is Mama Fiel's rose garden (so pretty) and our beautiful ADX pledge flare was my model. She has a wonderful heart for Jesus and is someone who appreciates small things, makes the best out of any situation and never forgets to have fun. And she likes country music so she automatically gains brownie points in my book ;) Okay enough bragging about our pledge babies for now.

Project 50 Challenge - 28/50
Today I was struggling to find the inspiration and motivation...double whammy. I hopped in the car and went down to the fjord as the sun was setting to take the safe sunset pic as a last resort. I think I lucked out and was able to find a couple of shots other than the sunset shot...but I got that one too just in case :)
