Project50 40/50
Tiredness — I have it. In some of these shots my eyes are so vacant, I couldn't bring myself to put them online.
The pose here wasn't intentional, I'm not that much of a poser, but just as the camera was about to go these 2 birds started having a fight to the death in the sky, it was intense! So that caught my attention and this is all natural baby!
Oh if you are wondering what the fuck I have done processing wise, I have tinted the black slightly purple.

One of the things I really miss about the Project 50 is the flexibility that other focal lengths give you. I am lucky enough to own quite a few lenses, and the one featured is one of my favourites; the Canon 15mm fisheye. The reason I got a full frame camera was that lens! One thing I'm really looking forward to after the project is making some wide angles!

A favorite Memphis tradition is Youth Villages’ annual Soup Sunday. Each year, Memphians sample delicious dishes from more than 50 of the area’s best restaurants, caterers and food trucks. All proceeds from the will benefit Youth Villages’ programs to help at-risk youth and their families.
Project 50 Challenge - 9/50
In search of my photo of the day, I happen to run across what seemed to be a photo project in action. What's funny is I think his friends (behind me) took a picture of me - taking a picture of him - taking a picture. I wish I could have seen their shot, it had to be a good one.
Self portraits has never been my cup of tea, to be hones ive never tried them seriously.. Shooting at f1.4 is really hard when you can't see your focus

"But you have not had a beer on till you had a Brooklyn Lager".
Brooklyn Brewery was started in 1987 right here in the People’s Republic by a Brooklynite Steve Hindy.
So you shot photos of you favorite beer. @photosip posted his beer here and @credd posted her deer here , also joey with his "Blame it on the vodka" bit.
In my shoot I used a ghost bottle pouring never a ending flow of Brooklyn Lager into a tall glass that will never be empty. You will be drinking Brooklyn Lager for an eternity. So bring your #Battle on.

50/50: Day 8
Today's photo was inspired by a song I heard on my playlist this morning from back in the day ... well not really back in the day, more like 2002-ish. It was from my high school years so I consider it as back in the day ... haha ... but yeah the song was Star Guitar by the Chemical Brothers. I though hey, my pops has a guitar w/ Stars on it ... so that is what I decided to shoot w/ the 50 ... lol... if you wanna check the song out here is a link to the video on youtube ..... www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBgf2ZxIDZk

As you can see from the title, the theme for today (that my friend, Rick, came up with) is width = height. I am doubly awesome, 'cos not only do I have a circle in my shot, but also a square.

My friend Dan has got into blogging lists of late. I'm enojying them a lot & they are provoking some good conversation. He published one today entitled "Top 5 Rules For Good Online Communication" he hits on a lot of points I think are important. Anyways long story short, it inspired me take this photo.

50/50: Day 14
My pops was jammin' on his guitar outside, so I decided to pull a paparazzi and bug him for a bit. haha ... I also decided while shooting this that the PLM w/ diffusion fabric is my favorite light modifier that I own. I find that I can place it almost anywhere and get beautiful wrapping light. ♥'z it =] ... I still wouldn't mind having one of those 74" Elinchrom Octa's though ... lol

Project 50 Challenge - 33/50
Unfortunately I have to take a pause from uploading pics. I will be away this weekend without internet access. I'll continue with my Project 50 daily shots, but won't be able to upload them until I get back. I won't cheat...I promise:)

At risk of resembling day one, I give you day 3, seven stories higher.
Just kidding! I'm switching this, and making this my day 3. I just don't want to have them be so similar.

Ryan met me in Schaumburg last night after my class let out and we drove 15 minutes to O'Hare (International Airport) for some night shots. There is just something about airports that I love. I love to fly, and I just love to be there. Temperature was about 7 with the windchill even lower. At least I had brought liner gloves, while my dearly beloved didn't (roll eyes here). Light snow flurries have been at a constant motion for the past few days, resulting in continuously wet pavement, and wet pavement = light reflections.
Hopefully it will warm up in these parts soon, I want to keep doing outdoor snaps for this project, and with days like today (10 degrees, windchill -5), I much rather stay indoors next to the fire with the cats, thanks.
So I'm half way done with Project 50 and I'm really surprised I made it this far. I'm in my second week of the fall semester and I'm already a little stressed out. I'll be fine it's just a matter of getting back into a routine of things and having time sucked up with studying.
Workflow - Merged images with exposure values of -3, 0, and 3 in Photomatix to create an HDR image in order to bring out the detail in the clock. I then added a sepia tone by blending a black and white layer to the HDR image in Photoshop CS4.
Today I visited Brendan in Gourock for a lunchtime smoothie (which you can see the remnants of in the pic). He's a hairdresser, so we hung out in his salon for a bit while he randomly cut my hair. I think my shutter speed should have been faster, and the background is also overexposed, but I don't really give a shit. So there.
ISO 100, Aperture 2.2, Exposure 60.

When sharing the CSS of my new website (coming in the next couple of weeks) with a friend he made a direct comparisom between it & art… I thought that was pretty cool.
And yes I know it's a bit out of focus, it's hard focusing on a bright bright screen in pitch black & I have things to do!

had such a good day today. some things that needed to happen did. and other unexpected stuff, too.
(and i am posting outtakes because i usually never like pictures of myself, but today, i did. trying to remain more positive).
This is the windbreaker I usually wear when riding my motorbike to and from work. Although it's usually ridiculously hot in HCMC, the windbreaker blocks the sun and keeps my shirts clean when riders ahead splash through rain puddles. After talking with my friend adam about side-lighting the other day, I wondered if I could get a good side-lit picture in my small new house. I think the answer is "yes" although the windbreaker is made of semi-reflective material and it caught too much light on the left side.

She shares my enthusiasm that Project 50 is donezors! Yahoo!
This project was quite interesting! There was a lot of catching up with friends I haven't seen in a long time. More than a handful of parties made of win! Afternoons with some of my friends spent laughing our asses off! Woooh. It was a whirlwind!
Cheers, Project 50! I'm signing off!

What can I say about this weekend, other than the fact I've had one of the best weekends ever.
I've had a chance to hang out with Rick, have him give me great pointers on my pics, play around with his sexy fisheye, see what difference strobes can make to the simplest of shots (this very one was looking completely different before we brought in a speedlite), and introduce someone else to the wonder that is Rainbow Six: Vegas.
Throughout all of that, we consumed LOTS of coffee.
