Project 50 Challenge - 35/50
In Sand, Norway while my wife was looking inside, I found these on display outside the antique store.

Wow it's nice here to day, 29ºC, super bright sun, blue skys. Anyways, it's just a quick one tonight as I'm heading out with my dad for dinner and a movie.
Laters guys…

Did I ever mention that I really appreciate the shallow DoF with a wide open prime?

50/50: Day 4
Double post today! I couldn't decide on which composition I liked better, so here are both of them. This dude is an incense burner I got a long time ago. I only recently started to use him again after picking up some cone type incense, because the stick ones really don't work in him. I got hooked on incense back in high school after watching an episode of Cribs and Tommy Lee gave a quick plug for Nag Champa, he said something like "When it's on, It's so on" .... lmao ... so yeah kinda just dug 'em since then =]
Felt like Gellin' today =]

We've moved almost everything into our tiny new house (Ciaran's old house), and this is pretty much it. A small living room, a small bedroom, a small storage room, and a kitchen area. On the right side, you can see our back door peeking out from around the refrigerator. At night, we park two motorbikes in here, and there's just enough room to walk past to the bathroom at night.

I've always thought that what you wear to the office has a great impression on how you feel. Wear a crappy Tesco shirt to the office, feel crappy all day. Wear a nice tailored shirt from Jermyn St, and I instantly feel more confident.
Stupid really.
Anyway, today was a day I wanted to work smart. Nice shirt, really nice cufflinks and a suit jacket.

I was hanging out with my parents when I thought my mom would look lovely with the hat I picked up from Peru.
Just don't tell her I posted it ;)
So there's this factory in Greenock, and it holds Morrisons' bags hostage. It's quite sad really. Anyway, there are some brave bags that try and escape factory life. However, they never get very far (as you can see). Here are some on barbed wire fences. Dead.

Ashley chose this weeks "Monday Theme" - Japan.
I can't think of Japan with out thinking about sushi, I totally need some and soon! It's been way to long! Over 6 weeks!
Picked up a recertified Netgear WRN2000 from Newegg for $24.99 to my door. I actually don't like Netgear products but for $25 I figured it would buy me time till I get an AirPort Extreme. I did notice that setup is rather slow and sometimes the WRN2000 takes forever to write in the changes you make.
Since the changes took forever I decided to take a photo of it for my daily.
Strobist info:

1 550EX 1/2 bare power pointed at white sheet
Camera metered 1 stop under to expose the front LEDs of the WRN2000
Setup shot can be found here.
Following on from my candid shot of Brendan, it was time to include Indie in my Project 50. However, I totally didn't want her posing, so I caught her while she was wrapped up listening to someone's conversation from outside (my windows were open, she's nosey).
ISO 100, Aperture 1.4, Exposure 100.
Projet 50/50/50 - 06 / 50 (2 oct 2012)

Lazy Saturdays.
I had worked a night shift Friday so I slept until about 1pm Saturday and lazed around, watching t.v. and doing some knitting.
There was nothing really "inspiring" about my day to photograph.
Had a pretty intense day yesterday. I had myself an emergency tooth extraction (yep, another one) and totally didn't have the money to pay for it when they were done. Plus, I still need an implant in that socket, AND a root canal for my other tooth. This is gonna cost more than my Mark II would have, even :(
I have $70 for this, rent, and bills this month.
So.....you wanna book a shoot or buy a print??? Contact me for details! <3
I shouldn't sit in front of my computer, sort, edit and upload photos. Because I leave Germany at Sunday morning to relax a few weeks in Spain. Therefore it would be better to pack my stuff...
But isn't she cute?!
lighting info: 1 SB-28 @ 1/8 in front of a reflective umbrella
I'm hand-sewing a new light modifier. I think it'll probably end up as another softbox. So far I've got the reflective fabric sewn in a four leaf clover pattern. Sadly, it's only going to be about 14" wide at the opening. However, if the design works, I'll make a second one at least double the size.
So, I know, I can never finish project 365 so I'll try Project 50.
50 days, 50 photos & a 50mm.
Sounds pretty easy. I just thought to myself, "50 days is like a month and a half, shouldn't be that hard." :)
I'm starting this off with a self-portrait taken with an instax mini (because it's the closest I can get to a polaroid). I took this before I was about to leave for Chinx's birthday party down south, oh, I meant, dirrrrttty south.
On the way to the south, I listened to Ladyhawke & on the way home with 2 of my buds we listened to Michael Jackson. Like what MJ said, "DON'T STOP 'TILL YOU GET ENOUGH!" aww yeah!
June 26 2009, Project 50, Day 1
***The instax was originally taken 26 June 2009 so that counts as day 1 for me. hehe
Within the final five days of Project 50 and yet again I was struck down by lack of inspiration. I finally decided on a subject and wanted to try some lowkey shots on something other than a person.
I achieved the small beam of light from the flash by using more card to create a cone and fire down to the small opening.

At home at my kitchen table. The ultimate private office. Can you tell I like to use my trackpad? And even though my phone has no touchscreen I seem to treat it as if it had one :)
