I have a lot of shoes for a woman with no real interest in clothing. You will have noticed that they are all flat, all are pretty unflashy, most are skate shoes. If I was permitted to wear shoes like this to work, I'd be delighted.

It was pretty funny that @photosip took a photo of Claudia's Tiramisu at the same time @monatheism made some as well. So I'm like ZOMG #battle time.
For whatever reason I decided I would do something a bit different with it. Instead of just shooting it as is, I had this bright idea to freeze it for a bit then cut it up into slices and alternate the slices with mascarpone to build up some height, only to totally cut the height down with a freaking bowl! D'oh! Then I thought hmm I should top it off with something bright... a maraschino cherry!
I tried it afterwards and well... you gotta wonder what the hell you got to be smoking to come up with stuff like this. That's why the only I do in the kitchen is make a bowl of cereal.... yep.

Saturday night… nice and easy one, not very exciting but it's exactly what I'm doing with myself. Playing Xbox & "surfing the web"… do people still say "surfing the web"?
Shot with flash through umbrella at 1/4 then adjusted in Lightroom to blow out the whites a little, eliminating any traces of the umbrella. Not much tweaking at all really.
Falun Gong is a traditional Chinese spiritual discipline that is Buddhist in nature. It consists of moral teachings for daily life, a meditation, and four gentle exercises.
While Falun Gong is practiced openly in 70 countries, today in its homeland of China it is subject to severe human rights violations. The scale and scope of abuses taking place make it possibly the largest religious persecution in the world today.

Sofie, one of the girls in our office, is heading back to Sweden and today was her last day so we all went out for a drink after work.
I did take some choice portraits of my workmates but didn't want to post them without permission – so I'll post them another time once I've been given the OK!
The moment a person forms a theory, his imagination sees in every object only the traits which favor that theory.

Something super simple. The sun is out for the first time in a few weeks, though it's not spectacularly hot or anything. I do need my refreshment though, and what better drink than an ice cold Dr Pepper? Well, Dr Pepper Zero actually. But I'm a 22 year old woman and have to take cellulite into consideration, so no full fat fizzy drinks for me :-/

Bubbles. Yes, they're for kids, but actually provide plenty of fun for us adults, too. They're also pretty hard to shoot with all their floating about, and the fact I had to blow, snap, blow, snap etc until I got a decent shot.
If you view large you can see me in the bubble. I look all fisheyed! This is the inexpensive way to fisheye objects.

I have never done photos of a baby before, man it is kinda hard! They don't exactly listen to you, or smile on command...but Devri is way too chubby and cute so I did not care. She is three months old today! Her mom Shauna is one of my longest friends and a GREAT mother. I am so glad I got to see you today <3

I know. I'm pretty sure I promised to have this posted yesterday.
Honestly, I didn't even realize that I didn't...lol
Since I was late posting the previous day's picture, I guess my mind processed that yesterday, I was all done, when I wasn't.
Anyway, I was completely distracted last night after a HUGE dinner with the wife (she was off last night). Went to Cork n Cleaver for a little smoked salmon, king crab n filet minion surf n turf and some mudpie to top it off.... SERIOUSLY a good night.
At least I took the camera and shot this after we ate, but then I crashed.
All available lighting (nice timing with an approaching car).

I usually spend Saturday nights out at the pub having a drink, maybe even particpating in a dance or two. Tonight I spent it playing Resident Evil, which, by the way, I am only one Achievement off 1000 G's. Whoo! Oh, and there's pizza as well.
ISO 100 (should have set it higher, whoops), Aperture 1.4, Exposure 25.
And with the press of the shutter number 50 is in the bag.

50 photos in 50 days with a 50mm lens
Ok, so it's my next to last day. I just received my set of Moo MiniCards in the mail today and thought this would be a fitting subject for Project50. I was very pleased with the quality and will definitely consider re-ordering once these run out.
Now we're practically strangers. But don't worry, Mr Bass Drum, I'll make sure that changes.
I actually have two acoustic kits, the other of which is a Yamaha. I thought about selling them both and buying one higher end model (but still playing on a 4-piece kit). However, I never get a chance to use either of my acoustic kits, therefore it makes little sense right now.
This year I swore I would get back into drumming, but I've been focused on other things up until now. I'm definitely going to set aside some time to reacquaint myself with my drums.
ISO 100, Aperture 1.4, Exposure 50.
Day 3/50
An old man walking past me whilst watching a village cricket game and i couldn't help taking a picture of his walking stick in some way. Hope you enjoy.
Today I bought a Plastic Phantasic 50 mm f/1.8 prime lens. Man, what a bargain! This is my first shot with this lens.
This little guy was hopping about in my house earlier. Come the summer, it's not uncommon to find tons of tiny frogs in the Marina. Last year the same thing happened and I had to get my ex boyfriend to come and chase it out the house. This year I manned up and shooed the damn thing out myself. While screaming.
Day 3
Still sick. And my goosebumps are SO much more intense when the camera is not trying to capture them. Of course.
I gave up real quick on today's photo. I do NOT consider this a good photo by any means, but that's what happens when someone committed to their project starts it the day she gets sick.
I'm going back to bed.
Update: I just sneezed for the last 3 minutes, sans camera, after trying for 30 minutes to capture a sneeze on camera. FML.
Finally got around to getting a haircut. It'd been almost 2 months since my previous one and my ears were barely visible anymore. It feels a lot cooler and lighter without all that hair on my neck, too. While I was taking my evening shower, I realized that I could use it as the subject for my shot of the day. Softbox to my right side and umbrella to my left. The umbrella had no strobe, it was just there for reflective fill. I'm really enjoying the lighting from the softbox because for the first time ever, I can cut the "brightness" and "contrast" settings down to 0 in lightroom to get some smooth tones.

Another split shift work day, but I've realized that this project50 has gotten me looking for photos everywhere I look. I see things I never noticed before and notice more angles, patterns, colors, and textures than before. I noticed the textures on this outdoor faucet in the parking lot at work, right next to where I park my motorbike every day.
