Can you guys see the connection?

Perspective, Framing, Contrast

I chose to focus on the Hot House Sepia series by Torkil Gundnason. I had to be very creative on how I wanted to shoot this. I wanted the focus to be on the flower like in his collection but I wanted to have something extra instead of the plain brown background. I used an app on my phone that enabled me to change the color of the light and I shined it through a piece of paper and I liked the effect it had on the flower so I decided to add something more to the background and add the lyrics so two of my favorite songs. I liked how the flower was almost completely black and how the colors of the writing added a little something to the picture

ISO 800

Intention- Display a landscape scene at 800 ISO to compare with other photos of varying ISO values.

Reference to the reading- Duchemin states, "ISO 3200 is 'fast' or much more light sensitive" which can be seen in this photo taken at a higher ISO.

Outcome- The image is beginning to display areas that are not as smooth compared to the previous shots taken at 100 ISO and 400 ISO.

Edits- The image was not edited.

I sat a water bottle in front of a kalidescope light and shot down through the inside of the bottle, in order to capture all the different colors in the light.

I have carried across the diagonal gradient as an element in my interpretation, but cut down the sentence to just "All memories fade away eventually." Tried to balance the awkward "clarity" of memories through the juxtaposition of clear, bold type with the cloud-like film grain texture fading out to be very unclear and completely faded away.

I liked the difference in color of the candies and how they are just all mixed up and random. And the colors are to bright or to dull.

I worked closely with my dad and fitted the samples on my dad’s body.

I'm investigating the muscle changes between different body types and therefore developed several systems to address this issue: How can a garment change, extend or reduce volume?

System# 1: Combined with the belly volume reducing system and the 3D pocket on the jacket front side.

Sentence: "Then you're too close"

I carried on the color 'red' from the previous work. Instead of a solid red color I decided to use a radial gradient to give the sentence a bit more oomph.

I moved the letters and words close to each other and scaled the sentence up to give a feeling of closeness.

I chose a dark gray background because I think it helps bring out the words.

I was thinking of putting a gaussian blur into it, but I'm not sure if it would help.
