Description of what your intent was (what were you trying to capture and why): Used the traffic light as the main foucus of the photo while allining it over the right vertical line to follow the rule of thirds.
Mark: 18/20
Tutor's Comments: You have colour matched to the original sample very well, but you could have introduced more pattern and texture to the scheme. You definitely have a good eye for colour and tone but stretch this capability to experiment and play with pattern, scale and texture in your schemes.
You have included white and brown in large areas in this scheme - large areas such as the armchair, headboard and bedcover could benefit from some texture or pattern. Coloured cushions are not enough to break up the expanse of white on the armchair.
You could take the faux suede headboard a step further by having it upholstered rather than just plain. Perhaps deep button upholstery, an inset with contrast piping, or chrome nail detailing - this would give your scheme added depth and contrast.
A chair upholstered in the green silk (10) with some contrast piping would really make the stems of the flowers in the pattern stand out, make the wallpaper really come alive and pull the scheme together.
The carpet works better as a lighter, neutral colour (try Crucial Trading) - a dark colour like this will show fluff and dirt easily.
A bedcover in a similar colour to the background of the wallpaper (such as no.3 curtain fabric) would recede. A bedcover in white silk over white pillows and bedding will stand out in this scheme rather than recede.
All the samples in this scheme are neatly presented and labelled on the board. The fabric edges are neatly turned in with no corners frayed or edges showing.
The samples have been arranged neatly on the board, and the sample sizes are in proportion to what they represent.
The key is clear and easy to read. You have included all details including name, project and date on the board. Do remember to name your board correctly - this should be titled "Colour Matching" rather than "Sample Board".
You have included an image of the ceiling light, and a sketch of the armchair both of which add interest to the overall scheme. A representative sample (glass, mirror, lacquer) of accessories would add further interest to the scheme.
it is not clear from your board how the curtain boarder and trimming (3) are to work, but I read in your justification that the border goes across the bottom. The border sample should be placed across the bottom fo the curtain sample to make clear the look you propose.
The image of the armchair should be rendered to accurately reflect the chosen fabric - leaving it white is not sufficient as we cannot tell what the fabric looks like on the chair.
3. Pan
Intention: Capture panning motion of a model plane swinging from fishing line.
Reading: The reading indicated moving with your subject was necessary for capturing panning motion. Panning examples in the reading indicated a shutter speed of 1/15 a good place to start (relatively, depending on the speed of the subject).
Edit: Edited out fishing line tied to model plane.
Outcome: Successful capture of panning motion.
Wanted to address why this doesn't fit the theme of my other outdoor images - I don't feel comfortable taking pictures of random people/cars passing by (it would freak me out if I saw someone taking a picture of me/my car), and since I couldn't capture family or pets, I opted for an inanimate object.

(EDIT: I re-uploaded the image because the colors came out messed up the first time I uploaded it.)My four logos that I made for the identity design project. I will be using the fish logo for the next project.
this is my 2nd style school project and i had so much fun making it.... inspired by elsie cakes @ style school
I wanted to create a work combining humans with animals that move like humans dancing. So I chose birds and cats among many animals and drew some ideas. Among these, what I want to make is a ballerina cat(Bottom left, wearing a skirt) or stretching cat. The upper body is made up of a cat and the lower body is made up of the legs of a person. I want to capture a cat's soft feeling and a person's graceful movements on an object.

Description of what your intent was: Out in 29 degree weather with snow coming down furiously, I saw the underside of this bridge and the architecture drew me in. The blue lights added to the shot.
Tutor's Comments: You are correct to say that the colour red provokes appetite, but as this is a fast food environment we would expect to see a scheme that is stimulating and exciting - to encourage customers to eat quickly and leave. This is a fast food restaurant in a busy exhibition complex so bright contrasting colours are acceptable. The scheme you have presented is more of an analogous scheme with a blue accent, and it is more warm and relaxing than stimulating, so you may find that customers quite like the environment and will linder over their coffee rather than moving on quickly! Using the blue here to "cool off" the red and orange is not correct as we want the colours to over-stimulate and unsettle the senses.
You have represented your colours well with paint chips for walls, ceiling, woodwork and furniture, and an image to show the proposed style. The paint samples are a little on the small side. Consider your choice of white for table tops, bar stools and bins - these are high usage areas and will get dirty easily, and white is not really a suitable colour for refuse and recycling bins as they will look dirty and unhygienic. The board has been very well put together, and your samples are all very neat and well laid out, giving the board a professional finish.
my intention with this image was to show self medication and just doing what you have todo to get through the day. This is shown by the old cigarettes and old paint cup, both things in my life that ive used to cope.

Description of what your intent was: I went down to the State Street garage to get my camera and tripod setup and loved that there were no cars in the lower lot. I wanted to capture the symmetry of the columns and the glow of the lights.
