Finally remembered my sketch. The spot was pretty long so I stretched it out just so.
This was a nice day in Lafayette, Indiana. The locals tell us this is the first legal wall in town and according to public reaction, it's obvious.
Thanks to Kaos and Versa for the liquor store wall hookup.
Sorry about the poor quality picture, but trying to document my work as it develops. this is a new section of the display that will be on show next week, see www.facebook.com/auckltg

From early rail tracks to today’s cars, The Lesner Bridge has been a major factor in transportation for the northern part of the city. The current renovation to the bridge is well underway and progressing well, all while keeping this important artery open.

The January 20/21 total lunar eclipse, blood moon in progress. My camera clock was off by 1 hour, 0 minutes and 50 seconds, so this image is actually taken at roughly an hour and a minute earlier than EXIF states.
A cool thing about this eclipse was that a Meteor hit the Blood Moon at exactly 11:41:10 (Reports differ, but it is 11:41: something.)

Chunky bottom bracket removed for cleaning & regreasing- bearings still look pretty good. 11 on a side, no cages.
I think I'll replace the standard (stamped?) Raleigh brakes (which you can see dangling in this photo) with (forged? cast?) centerpulls from the parts box for increased braking power: Shimano Tourney for the front and (ca. 1970s?) Weinmann 'Vainqueur 999' 750 (long reach) for the rear (both free-box salvages in the past.) The old rear was missing a spring, anyway.
Basket removed temporarily to facilitate other work.
While I had the bottom bracket apart, I saw what I thought was black gunk inside the shell. Photographs allowed me to see that it was actually coated inside the tubes, which bodes well for longevity. A little had pooled at the bottom of the shell.
Gonna have to tackle those fenders...

Lulu is still frightened, poor girl. She's active and interacting with her family, but when I open the door she dives for the safest place she can find: often the sink. And, look, her little sister was kind enough to empty the kleenex box into the sink to provide a bit of padding. Thanks, Fifi.
Lulu is less fearful of me at this point. In fact, I can reach out and scritch her around her ears. Lulu is visibly conflicted about this interaction. She enjoys the scritches but panics that a human is touching her. This morning, while I was petting her, I heard a low rumbling from the sink. I leaned as close as I dared as I didn't want to freak her out. I wondered if her stomach was gurgling loudly, but the faint rumbling persisted as I scritched the ears. Perhaps Pandora's and Fifi's constant purring around me is rubbing off. Perhaps that faint rumbling will gradually get louder and louder. Lulu won't take food from my hands, but she will eat in my presence. And now this? I'd LOVE to win this girl over. Only time will tell. . .

What an exciting moment!
