From early rail tracks to today’s cars, The Lesner Bridge has been a major factor in transportation for the northern part of the city. The current renovation to the bridge is well underway and progressing well, all while keeping this important artery open.

New rear wheel is ready. To be followed by front wheel, Regina Oro chain (NOS) and maybe a Campy Rally w/ Bullseye pulleys (acquired used but in very good shape). I assume the bike once had center pull brakes, as evidenced by the cable stop bridge (rear). For me, within 10 years is close enough for period correctness.

The current City Hall building is a near-50-year-old structure that has served the city well but, in its current state, is functionally obsolete. Built in 1969, the current City Hall requires major renovations that are complicated by the presence of friable asbestos and the way the electrical and mechanical systems were installed.
On October 3, 2017, Virginia Beach city council unanimously approved a resolution to proceed with the design of a new city hall building. The new three-story structure adjacent to the current city hall, between Buildings 1 and 2, is under construction and progressing well.

i can't remember why it was so important to photograph this pie in progress, but there must have been some reason. There is a more serious version of this photo, but it's not as good. This is from way back in January 2010.
During the month of November I've had a collection of work up at Progress and this event is a bit of a closing party.

Progress on the new Queensferry Crossing of the Firth of Forth on 15th September with some sections of decking now in place at the South Queensferry end. As viewed from the train on the Forth Bridge through a zoom lens, 15th September, 2015, with the new works framed by the Forth Road Bridge.
eww! excuse the nasty carpet. i think it was the original carpet from when our 1969 house was built... gotta get that replaced pronto!
anyway, i thought i'd go with the magic carpet feel borders. unless you really love it, i might start over with something new. i'm not totally happy with this for this swap... it might turn into a christmas present for my bro (he lives and works out in the middle east)
