Zero Progress @ Maya's Cafe 7/27/12

Kitchen is almost ready. Microwave needs to be installed—that’s what is sitting on the countertop. Fridge, stove, and dishwasher all set up and functional. Vanity countertops and sinks go in tomorrow, as well as the rest of the basement steps flooring, the stair railing (so Janie can stop fretting about someone falling into the stairwell), and the rest of the plumbing. Fireplace stonework goes on this week, too. Furnace is now functional. Won’t be long now…

Yay! I finally get a room all to myself. This room was also going to be the death of me since it had the wallpaper border covered w/ layer upon layer of paint. It took me THREE days to scrape that crap off.

The green splotch was my original color choice for the room, but I got vetoed by, well, everyone. I have repainted; it's a similar green but much lighter. pics to come

The top of the garden again. Our back-garden neighbour has built himself a massive shed, visible over the fence. My proposed small shed and decking will be rather dwarfed by it.

My very first stab at acrylics and painting in general. Fun to see how the painting has evolved overtime. Still have some much left to learn.

This was the first time for a PUG event. Here Gus and Rick Kuzyk talked about what sessions they thought everyone should go see. It was a good event and at least for me, it helped me decide in some places where I wasn't sure which one to go see.
