I decided against a blade and opted for the heavy push bar instead. The "wedge" shape should push smaller trees to the sides of the machine... Hopefully I'll get lots more done tomorrow...

stitched another square... only 4 to go!

The introduction to the book which shows a picture of prehistoric life contrasted with modern life and it's great radio masts with an early man who has a "brutish" appearance shows the early optimism and belief in progress which was current after the Great War to End All Wars and before the coming of the depression.

I have now burnt the top layer of chiffon by using a heat gun. I then teased the fibre through the stitching by using a teasle brush ( shown at the top of the picture).

This now completes the preparation of the background fabric for the handbag.

Close up of the torso. Added a lot of body freckles!

My very first 1 inch hexie.

When I got out my camera to shoot Maisie by the window, Sergei jumped up beside her. (He loves the camera, though he's so wiggly that I rarely get a good shot of him). Remarkably, she didn't move, or hiss, or make that funny low pitched "I'm not happy about this" yowl. So here they are, right next to each other, and she looks completely relaxed. Progress.

She and Sasha are going to take longer to work things out.

From early rail tracks to today’s cars, The Lesner Bridge has been a major factor in transportation for the northern part of the city. The current renovation to the bridge is well underway and progressing well, all while keeping this important artery open.

Progress Quarry Lake shines blue in the foreground on a sunny day. A ridge of trees lines one edge of the quarry, and rows of apartment buildings are visible behind that.

So here's work in progress, Started getting some filling in done the other day,

Just starting to turn the big 20' arc that forms the "corner" of the upper stone wall I'm building. This is fussy, but really satisfying work. After the round corner comes a 35' straightaway along the front of the house, then a smaller round corner at the end. Best summer project ever.

The progress of completed pieces so far.

I'm not as far along as I'd like to be, but it seems that since I'm doing this in my spare time, that this is as good as it gets for now.

Excellent Trefl puzzle with the pieces a bit on the thin side.

Nice, tight fit and surface coating. Very helpful cut.

Shifting Sands scarf at 33 inches. This photo makes it look bright blue and it's not. There is much more green in the colour, making it a definite teal.

This is Grumperina's Shifting Sands pattern, and here's my blog.

I'm actually almost done--with the first one, I mean.

all told this used 8 yards of piping. Eight! that seems like kind of a lot, but I guess it'd just be like three packages of the dritz poly-cotton totally boring-ass solid stuff.

The tail cone is complete per part 10 of the plans (minus paint and fairings). The forward top skin is not attached until the fiberglass canopy is installed much later in the process. Match-drilling the holes that attach the various components of the tail is now in progress. Then the tip fairings, then on to the wings!

Parts in green are complete; parts in yellow are primed and ready to be riveted together, but are still separate; and parts in red have been worked on but are still incomplete.

Here's the strips for the wonky linen log cabin. Something has fallen short on the bottom there...

First off i got some blue styrafoam insulation and made a block, on the block i drew the side and top profile and cut it out and then carved the curves and sanded it.
