The Britcar Endurance Series Made an Epic Return to the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit for The End of the Year Championship that Would Decide who the Overall Champion would be For Britcar.

 

Other Support Races were Also Present I the Paddock including The Ever so Popular Dunlop Mini Winter Challenge who had brought with them some Fantastic Racing Mini's Ready to do Battle on the World Famous Circuit.

 

Other Support Races Included The Ginetta Junior Championship as well as The Silverlake C1 Racing Club who would be Partaking in an Endurance Race that Would Lead Them Into the Night as they Raced for 3 Hours and 145 Laps around the Circuit.

 

With A Busy Two Days of Both Racing and Qualifying Action Ahead Lets turn to the First Qualifying Session of the Weekend.

 

Dunlop Mini Winter Challenge-(Qualifying)

 

First Up on to the Track was the Ever so Popular Dunlop Mini Winter Challenge a Series that Focuses on Mini Racing Thought The Entire Season.

 

Thease Mini's are Based on both the Mini Sevens and Mini Miglia Spec of Racing Mini's and a Combined Qualifying Session saw both Mini Sevens and Mini Miglia's Together on the Circuit.

 

Lets Take a Look at Who will be Starting on Pole come the First Race of the Weekend.

 

In First Place Taking Pole Position and The Fastest Lap was (Rupert Deeth) in his Mini Miglia 1293 with a Best Lap Time of 55.096 and a Top Speed of 78.92mph. Fantastic Work there Rupert Amazing Lap and an Incredible Car Too.

 

In Second Place was (Colin Peacock) in his Mini Miglia 1293 with a Best Lap Time of 55.142 and a Top Speed of 78.86mph. Brilliant Drive from Colin Who was Pushing Himself Hard to Catch and Beat Rupert's Time.

 

In Third Place was (Endaf Owens) in his Mini Miglia 1298 with a Best Lap Time of 55.226 and a Top Speed of 78.74mph. Great Work there Endaf A Very Quick Driver who knows a Thing or two about Racing Miglia's.

 

What an Intense Qualifying Session for both the Mini Miglia's and The Mini Sevens and Some Incredible Drives from the likes of Rupert Colin and Endaf but will Anyone Else be able to Steal that Glory from them During the Race or Will the Likes of Colin and Endaf Manage to Improve their Positions during the Race?

Britcar Endurance Championship- (Qualifying)

 

Next Up on to the Track was the Britcar Endurance Trophy and Thease Cars will Later be Taking Part in a Very Intense 1 Hour and 45 Minute Endurance Race on the Sunday with Pitstops Included.

 

A Range of Many Different Machines Align the Grid with the Likes of Porsche 718 GT4'S BMW M3's and Ginetta G55's it will make for an Interesting Race to see who can push their Machinery to its Limits and take Home Glory. But for Now Lets take a Look at Qualifying and who has come out on top.

 

In First Place Taking Pole and the Fastest Lap was (Team Valluga's Carl Cavers and Sean Doyle) in their Porsche 718 GT4 Club Sport with a Best Lap Time of 50.145 and a Top Speed of 86.72mph. Fantastic Work Guys Really Well Done and a Stunning Lap for Pole Position.

 

In Second Place was (Team Valluga's Ian Humphries and Benji Hetherington) in their Porsche 718 GT4 Club Sport with a Best Lap Time of 50.415 and a Top Speed of 86.25mph. Another Fantastic P2 for Team Valluga's Well Done To both Teams for Getting P1 and P2 on the Grid.

 

In Third Place was (Nial Bradley) in his BMW M3 E46 with a Best Lap Time of 50.816 and a Top Speed of 85.57mph. Superb Job there Nial Really Working Hard to Push that BMW into P3.

 

A Fantastic Qualifying Session for the Britcar Endurance Trophy and With Their Respective Races coming on Sunday it will be Fascinating to See who will come out on Top and Hold onto their Positions Thought the Race. But who will be The Overall Victor?

The Ginetta Juniors were Up next and Every Year when they Come to Brands Hatch they Remain Ever so Popular with Fans and Spectators alike.

 

The Racing Series itself is Designed for Junior Races Between the ages of 13-17 Years of Age Before those who turn 18 Can then Enter The Ginetta Senior Classes of Racing.

 

The Cars Used are Ginetta Racing Cars all of which are Run by Different Teams Looking to Extract as Much Power as Possible from those Engines and they Always Manage to Provide Fantastic and Exciting Racing.

 

With 2 Races for Today it will be Great to see who can Come out on top and Take their First Victory in Ginetta Junior Racing for the Weekend.

 

Lets First Take a Look at Qualifying and Find Out who Took Pole and who was Following Closely Behind.

 

In First Place Taking Pole Position and The fastest Lap was (Josh Rowledge) in his GBR R Racing with a Best Lap Time of 57.996 and a Top Speed of 75.01mph. Brilliant Drive there from Josh who Takes the First Qualifying Session Pole of the Weekend for Ginette's.

 

In Second Place was (Harri Reynolds) in his GBR Assetto Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 58.075 and a Top Speed of 74.87mph. Amazing Job there Harri Fantastic P2 and not too Far of Josh's Pole Time either. Looking forward to Race 1.

 

In Third Place was (Maurice Hendry) in his GBR Fox Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 58.119 and a Top Speed of 74.82mph. Great Work there Maurice Really showing his Skills in that Ginetta and Pushing Hard for that P3 on the Grid.

 

An Incredible Qualifying Session for the Ginetta's and with Three Amazing Drivers on the front Row of the Grid in Josh Harri and Maurice This is going to be One Intense Race with All Three Drivers Separated by Less than Half a Second.

 

With Qualifying Second Fastest Up Next who will be able to Improve and will anyone Else be able to try and Have a go at Making it to the front of the Grid come Race 1?

In Second Place was (Liam McNeilly) in his GBR Fox Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 58.251 and a Top Speed of 74.65mph. Really Great Work there Liam What a Fantastic Achievement and to Beat back the Likes of Harri Reynolds Must be Making him Feel Really Good.

 

In Third Place was (Harri Reynolds) in his Assetto Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 58.409 and a Top Speed of 74.45mph. Brilliant work Once Again from Harri who Still was Doing all he Could behind the Wheel to take Back his P2 Position while Battling with Liam for The Second Fastest Lap.

 

What a Qualifying Session with One New Driver in Liam starting P2 and the likes of Both Josh and Harri in P1 and P3 Respectively, This Up Coming Race is one to not be Missed. Lets get into it and Find out who will take The Victory.

In First Place taking the Race Victory and The Fastest Lap was (Josh Rowledge) in his R Racing with a Best Lap Time of 57.300 and an Average Speed of 74.84mph. Congratulations Josh who has taken a Fantastic First Victory here at Brands Hatch and I'm Sure he was Feeling Very Proud Afterwards, Superb job by Him and The Team.

 

In Second Place was (Harri Reynolds) in his Assetto Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 57.375 and an Average Speed of 74.80mph. Brilliant Work there from Harri who crosses the Line to Finnish in a Brilliant P2 and Take back the Hard work he Done During Qualifying. Fantastic.

 

In Third Place was (Joe Warhurst) in his GBR Elite Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 57.448 and an Average Speed of 74.79mph. Another New Driver has Achieved P3 in Joe Warhurst, Fantastic Job Joe a Really Well Deserved Victory for you and The Rest of the Team.

 

What a Race and what a Set of Drivers in Josh Harri and Joe who All Push Themselves Hard and Took Home some Incredible Victories During Race 1. With One More Race to Come will Anyone Else be Able to do The Same?

In First Place Taking the Victory and The Fastest Lap was (Josh Rowledge) in his R Racing with a Best Lap Time of 57.510 and an Average Speed of 74.68mph. I'm Starting to get the Feeling that This Guy Knows a Thing or two about Racing. Congratulations Josh for Another Superb Drive and Dominant Display Making it two out of Two Wins so Far.

 

In Second Place was (Liam McNeilly) in his Fox Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 57.496 and an Average Speed of 74.53mph. Congratulations Liam a Very Well Deserved Come Back Drive after a Not so Good P4 Finish Really Well Deserved Brilliant Driving.

 

In Third Place was (Max Dodd's)

In His GBR Assetto Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 57.516 and an Average Speed of 74.10mph. Fantastic To see Another New Driver take His First Step onto the Podium. Congratulations Max a Fine Drive for P3.

 

What an Amazing Set of Races Seen by the Ginetta Junior Championship with the likes of Josh Liam Max Joe Maurice and Harri all taking Fantastic Victories in their Respective Cars. Looking Forward to Seeing what DAY 2 Brings for the Ginetta's but for Now its Over to the Final Qualifying and Race of the Day.

 

Silverlake C1 Racing Series-(Qualifying)

 

The Final Qualifying Session of the Day is now Making its way onto the Circuit and its the Silverlake C1 Racing Series in Preparation for their 4 Hour Endurance Race After.

 

This Group of 44 Teams are All Racing as Part of the Silverlake C1 Championship which Sees them Travel all over the Country from Silverstone to Knock Hill to Snetterton.

 

The Series itself uses Citroen C1's (998cc) that Have Been made to go Racing for Extended Period's of Time. With an Insane Grid of 44 Competitors and Teams All Looking for that Victory come the Final few Seconds of the Race it will be interesting to see how Qualifying stacks up and who has the Fastest Machine.

 

In First Place Taking the Pole and Fastest Lap was (Team Lady Bird Daddy's Patrick Watt's/ Aimee Watt's/Orlando Linsey) in their Citroen C1 998cc with a Best Lap Time of 1:04.743 and a Top Speed of 67.16mph. Fantastic work Team Lady Brid Daddy Taking Pole and The Fastest Lap for P1 on the Gird.

 

In Second Place was (JW Bird Motorsport's Nick Beaumont and Kieran Griffin) in their Citroen C1 998cc with a Best Lap Time of 1:04.759 and a Top Speed of 67.15mph. Brilliant work to Team JW Bird Motorsport Fantastic Team Effort and a Great Starting Point for the Endurance Race.

 

In Third Place was (Emax Motorsport's James Little Jake Little and Stuart Ratcliffe) in their Citroen C1 998cc with a Best Lap Time of 1:04.936 and a Top Speed of 66.96mph. Great Work there Team Emax Pushing to the Limits and Holding onto that Important P3 Grid Slot.

 

With a 3 Hour Endurance Race Anything can Happen and with the Current Top Three Having to do Battle Against a Grid of 41 Other Teams and Drivers All with Varying Skill Level's This Race to Win could be Anybody's for the Taking Good Luck to All Teams Competing and May the Best Team Win.

 

Silverlake C1 Racing Series-(Race 1 Results)

 

(Hour 1)

 

With The Grid set for Racing The Lights slowly began to turn on until All Five Lights were Illuminated and then Simultaneously went out and 44 1000cc Citroen's with 44 Competitive Drivers Behind the Wheel Made their way through Paddock Hill Bend being careful to Avoid One Another while scrapping for Places.

 

As they Race Towards to the Top of Druids All was Good as they made their way Down towards Graham Hill Bend and onto the Cooper Straight. So Far so Good and All The Citroens came Round the Last Corner with Ladybird Daddy Number 506 Still Leading followed by Emax Motorsport Number 345 and JW Bird Motorsport Number In 3rd Place.

 

(Hour 2)

 

As The Second Hour Approached it was time for Some Teams to Start thinking about Pit Stop Strategy and How this Might Move them either up a Position or Down Depending Upon the Time and Driver Driving.

 

Many of the Teams Pulled into the Pits with Only a Few Cars Out there Still going trying to get a Head Start while the other Teams opted to Pit and Change Drivers or take on Fuel for the Rest of the Race.

 

11 Minutes after 2 O'clock and the Number 446 Car of Team TAC Racing has made a Trip into the Gravel Trap at the Top of Paddock Hill Bend and had to be towed Out Resulting in a Penalty for Outside Assistance.

 

They Re-join the Race but will be at least 2 or 3 Laps down on the Rest of the Field for this Costly Mistake.

 

(Hour 3 The Final Hour)

 

As 3 O'clock Approached the Headlights of Most Drivers began To Turn On as The Light Around the Circuit began to get even Darker Meaning the Race was Entering its Night Stage.

 

With Some Drivers being Good in the Day and other being Good in the Night it was Anybody's Race Still as All 44 Cars Continued to Race around the Indy Circuit Lady Bird Daddy was Still in the Lead and Creating a Sizable Gap at The Front of the Pack as they Continued on into the Darkness of Night.

 

As the Race Continued into the Last Hour a Loud Crash was Heard from the Bottom of Paddock Hill Bend with the Number 320 Car of M Barrand and S Barrand was seen Rolling after a Slide while coming out of Paddock Hill Bend The Marshalls Raced in and Managed to get the Car Right Side Up as the Citroen had Flipped Over onto its Roof during the Crash, Thankfully the Driver Escaped with No Injuries.

 

As The Race Reached its Conclusion Lets take a Look at the Final Results and see who Won The 3 Hour Endurance Race for Silverlake C1's.

 

In First Place After Securing Pole During Qualifying and taking a Very Dominant Victory was (Team Lady Bird Daddy's Patrick Watt's/ Aimee Watt's/Orlando Linsey) Congratulations Everybody Some Fantastic Driving and a Well Deserved Win after such a Heroic Drive Thought the 3 Hours.

 

In Second Place After Taking on the Indy Circuit and Starting P4 was (Team Quattro Formaggio's Alistair May and Chris Parkes) A Phenomenal Drive by Both Drivers Each Working Hard to Keep the Car in a Competitive Spot thought the Entire 3 Hour Race.

 

In Third Place After a Very Promising start in Qualifying with P2 was JW Bird Motorsport's Tony Prendergast and Robin Welsh. Congratulations to Both Tony and Robin Another Dynamic Duo Who Managed to take the Final Spot on the Podium after an Intense Race.

 

What a Fantastic Finish to the First Day of Britcar Into The Night at Brands Hatch I Look Forward to Tomorrow where Even more Support Races will be Joining and Maybe even some New Champions Will be Crowned.

This is my lastest Craigslist steal, a Wilderness Systems 15ft kayak, for a measly $240 !! I am so happy I could cry frozen tears of joy, what's my secret you ask.......... I never learned to swim!!! yea, that's right, I'm a dork, parents never bothered to teach me, and developed a phobia by the time I was an adult so I hope you are never in a position that would require me to swim out and save ya cause you are fish food... I do however own several personal flotation devices and I can scream like a 12 yr old girl if need be.

The position is somewhat aggressive but can be even more aggressive without the tank bag. The tank bag can serve as a place to rest the chest during long highway cruises. With this windshield, air hits the top of my helmet.

This is a photograph from the second running of the newly situated Irish 3/4 Marathon (formerly the Athlone 3/4) which was held in Longwood, Enfield, Co. Meath, Ireland on Sunday 8th of October 2017 at 10:00. The event is positioned perfectly in the calendar as a key training race before the Dublin City Marathon at the end of the month. This year was the second year that the event was held in Longwood, Co. Meath which is now well known for its hosting of the Longwood 10KM/5KM annual races and a host venue for East of Ireland Marathon series marathons on a bi-annual basis. The race started and finished at Longwood GAA club just outside the village of Longwood. It followed an anti-clockwise course around the beautiful picturesque countryside of south Meath. The course went through the townlands of Longwood, Castlerickard, Killyon, Hill-of-Down, Anneville and Ashfield Clonard, Blackshare, Stoneyford and back to Longwood. The river Boyne and Blackwater were crossed as was the Royal Canal and the Dublin-Sligo Railway line at Hill-of-Down. Overall this was a very different course to the previous years in Athlone. The overall elevation of the course works out at 3/4 of the total elevation of the Dublin Marathon course. What most stood out about today's race was the course and how the countryside around it looked on a beautiful almost perfect Autumn morning. There was a large local effort with stewarding and many local people watched from their gardens as the race passed by. The organisation of the race was first class with every detail taken care of from the start until the finish. There was some rain showers from about 13:00 onwards but these soon passed.

Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

 

     ►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

     ►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

     ►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

     ►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

There is a statue of Zhukov on horseback as he appeared at the 1945 victory parade on Manezhnaya Square at the entrance of the Kremlin in Moscow.

 

Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov (1 Dec 1896 – 18 June 1974) was Marshal of the Soviet Union from 1943 to 1957. He also served as Chief of the General Staff, Minister of Defence, and was a member of the Presidium of the Communist Party (later Politburo). During World War II, Zhukov oversaw some of the Red Army's most decisive victories, after which he was appointed the military governor of the Soviet occupation zone in Germany.

 

Born to a poor peasant family from central Russia, Zhukov was conscripted into the Imperial Russian Army and fought in World War I. He served in the Red Army during the Russian Civil War. Gradually rising through the ranks, by 1939 Zhukov had been given command of an army group and won a decisive battle over Japanese forces at Khalkhin Gol, for which he won the first of his four Hero of the Soviet Union awards. In February 1941, Zhukov was appointed as chief of the Red Army's General Staff.

 

Following the German invasion of the Soviet Union, Zhukov lost his position as chief of the general staff. Subsequently, he organized the defences of Leningrad, Moscow, and Stalingrad. He participated in planning several major offensives, including the Battle of Kursk, and Operation Bagration. In 1945, Zhukov commanded the 1st Belorussian Front; he took part in the Vistula–Oder Offensive, and the Battle of Berlin. In recognition of Zhukov's role in the war, he was chosen to accept the German Instrument of Surrender, and inspect the 1945 Moscow Victory Parade.

 

After the war, Zhukov's success and popularity caused Joseph Stalin to see him as a potential threat. Stalin stripped him of his positions and relegated him to military commands of little strategic significance. After Stalin's death in 1953, Zhukov supported Nikita Khrushchev's bid for Soviet leadership. In 1955, he was appointed as Defence Minister and made a member of the Presidium. In 1957, Zhukov lost favour again and was forced to retire. He never returned to a position of influence and died in 1974. Zhukov is remembered as one of the greatest Russian and Soviet military leaders of all time, along with Alexander Suvorov, Mikhail Barclay de Tolly, and Mikhail Kutuzov.

Trying out new kit. The battery is very small and light. It comes with a spill kill reflector. The other two photos shows the Bowen adaptor fitted. The battery power lead connects to the side and the sync cable plugs in the back.

 

I just need a photo shoot to fully test it out.

 

Update: 10/11/2011, Used the head in a shoot last week. Very happy with it. One weakness is the supplied umbrella bracket shown on this photo. It is not very strong. When I tried mounting a large beauty dish on it, the bracket was not strong enough to hold the head in position. I am now investigating the Manfrotto swivel adapter.

DAY 2 of the Formula Ford 50th Anniversary Race Weekend and after a Really Fast Action Packed array of Cars in both Mazda and Formula Ford Racing and Qualifying on Saturday it was time for Sunday and to find out who would be Crowned the Formula Ford Champion of 2021.

 

AMOC GT / GT4 & Intermarque (Qualifying)

 

First up on the Sunday for Qualifying was The AMOC GT/GT4 Championship and with a Grid of Just 5 Cars for this One its going to be Very Interesting to see out of the 5 Drivers who Can set the Quickest Pace During Qualifying. Lets Find Out who took Pole and the Fastest Lap.

 

In First Place taking Pole Position and the Fastest Lap was the Duo Pair of Rikki Cann and Samuel Wilson) in their Aston Martin V8 Vantage with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.791 and a Top Speed of 71.53mph. Fantastic Work both Ricky and Rob Really Pushing the Aston Martin Hard and Gunning fort that All Important Victory come the First Race.

 

In Second Place was (Jamie Sturges) in his VW Golf TCR with a Best Lap Time of 1:03.245 and a Top Speed of 68.75mph. Amazing Work there Jamie Pushing that Golf and Racing it Like a Pro.

 

In Third Place was the Duo of (Whit and Fenn) in their Lotus Elise Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 1:04.089 and a Top Speed of 67.85mph. Great Work there Whit and Fenn Fantastic Driving and Great Team Work.

 

Three Very Quick and Capable Cars in the Hands of Some Very Competitive Drivers will make for a Really Fantastic Race. With all three Cars Having Different Power Outputs it will be Interesting to see what Techniques Each of them will use to their Advantage Come the First Race.

After a Very Quick and Heated Qualifying Session which saw the Duo of Rikki Cann and Samuel Wilson Take Pole Position will Jamie and the Duo of Whit and Fenn be able to Beat them off the Line and Who Will Take Home their First Victory of the Weekend?

 

In First Place Taking the Victory was (Rikki Cann) in his Aston Martin V8 Vantage with a Best Lap Time of 58.194 and an Average Speed of 73.41mph. Amazing Job there Ricky Really Working Hard Behind the Wheel to Keep that Aston in the Lead Thought the Entire Race with some Beautifully Controlled Driving as well.

 

In Second Place was (Andy Thompson) in his Seat Toledo with a Best Lap Time of 57.893 and an Average Speed of 73.35mph. Incredible Drive there Andy Really Well Done and Making sure to hold onto that All Important Second Place.

 

In Third Place was (Paul Whight) in his Lotus Elise Motorsport with a Best Lap Time of 57.284 and an Average Speed of 72.75mph. Superb Drive from Paul Really Looked like he was Enjoying that Drive and Kept Pushing Hard the Whole Way around the Race Track. His Smooth Driving Through Clearways was Amazing to see.

 

What an Amazing First Race for the AMOC GT Championship with Many Different Cars from Many different Manufacturers Taking Part it always a Joy to see both the Cars and their Drivers Happy Doing what they Love to do. With One Last Race to go will the Likes of Rikki Cann's Teammate Samuel Wilson be able to Hold on and Get One More Victory for the Team? Lets Find Out.

In First Place taking the Final Win of the Day for AMOC GT was (Rob Fenn) in his Lotus Elise Motorsport) with a Best Lap Time of 50.083 and an Average Speed of 83.82mph. Congratulations Rob what a Drive and What a Car Fantastic Work.

 

In Second Place was (Samuel Wilson) in his Aston Martin V8 Vantage with a Best Lap Time of 51.459 and an Average Speed of 80.50mph. Amazing Driving there Samuel Keeping Close to Rob on Many Occasions around the Circuit and a Cracking Overtake on Rob through Clearways.

 

In Third Place was (Julian Reddyhough) in his Aston Martin Vantage with a Best Lap Time of 59.552 and an Average Speed of 71.18mph. Super Driving From Julian Smooth through the Corners and Making sure to Hang onto that Third Place During the Entirety of the Race.

 

A Really Fantastic Two Races for the AMOC GT Championship here this Weekend while the Grid might not have been up to Full Capacity We saw the Likes of Rob Fenn Samuel Wilson Rikki Cann and Julian Reddyhough take some Incredible Victories thought the Two Races. Next Up was the BRSCC Mazda MX5 Championship and with Saturdays Qualifying showing a Huge Grid of 35 Cars this was Definitely going to be a Fantastic Race to Witness. Lets get right to it and Find Out who Took Victory and by How Much.

 

In First Place taking the Victory was (Brian Trott) in his Mazda MX5 MK1 with a Best Lap Time of 58.179 and an Average Speed of 73.82mph. Super Work there Brain Racing Against another 34 Competitors in Identical Cars and Winning takes Incredible Driver Skill and Talent and you Really Showed that During the Race. Congratulations.

 

In Second Place was (Oliver Allwood) in his Mazda MX5 MK1 with a Best Lap Time of 57.532 and an Average Speed of 73.81mph. Well Done Oliver Fantastic Driving and a Really Great Defence of Second Place thought the entire Race.

 

In Third Place was (Zak Oates) in his Mazda MX5 MK1 with a Best Lap Time of 58.020 and an Average Speed of 73.79mph. Really Nice Work there Zak Amazing Drive and Keeping Very Close to Oliver and Brain at the Front of the Gird thought. Brilliant Driving.

The Mazda MX5 Super Cup Championship was next Up and after A Whole Day of Qualifying and Qualifying Second Fastest on Saturday it was time to see what Each of the Drivers could do and How they would use their Style and Race Craft to Gain a Victory. With Another Large Grid of 30 Cars Anything Can Happen and Racing always has its Moments of Unpredictability.

 

In First Place taking the Victory was (Declan Lee) in his Mazda MX5 MK3 with a Best Lap Time of 1:07.272 and an Average Speed of 45.71mph. What a Drive from Declan in Very Wet and Near Impossible Visibility Conditions He Kept his Foot Down and Head up to Take an Incredible Victory. Congratulations Declan.

1 - I am a very proud Canadian. I've lived in 2 provinces and have visited all the others except for NFLD and the Terrirtories.

 

2- I am in my late 30's and am actually looking forward to turning 40!

 

3 - I don't know how it happened, but I'm a bit of an activist.

 

4 - I sit on more committees than any one person should have the time to.

 

5- There is NOTHING more important to me than my family and I am incredibly protective of it.

 

6- I rarely watch TV..... well, that's not entirely true.... I record my favs (Big Brother, So you think you can danse, and NUMBERS) and watch them while folding the laundry.

 

7 - I know a lot of people, but have been disappointed by most.

 

8 - I am an incredibly shy person who often comes off as "stand-offish" or "snobby"..... it is something I fight against daily.

Quite surprised me to find her crouched on the floor, positioning the shot carefully to get this! She only had two attempts at it! Better than me! Quite an artistic eye I thought!

Pembrokeshire Records indicate that there was an Iron Age hill fort on the site of the castle although there is no physical evidence to suggest this on the present location. Haverfordwest was believed to have been a Danish settlement prior to the Norman conquest of West Wales in 1093/94. The Flemish settled in the area in 1108 to protect the main Norman stronghold at Pembroke Castle from Welsh raiders from the north.

 

The vast majority of sources indicate that the structure was originally a Norman architecture stone keep and bailey fortress, founded by the Englishman Gilbert de Clare, Marcher Earl of Pembroke in 1120. While this date is generally consistent, although some indicate 1110 or 1113, Pembrokeshire Records insist that the castle was actually originally built by Tancred the Fleming, husband of Gwladus (the aunt of Gerald of Wales), so the original medieval town and castle would have been Flemish not Norman. In any case, Gilbert de Clare appointed Tancred's son, Richard fitz-Tancred, as Castellan.

 

The original castle is believed to have been first attacked (unsuccessfully) by Gruffydd ap Rhys, Prince of Deheubarth, in 1135 – 1136. In 1173 the castle had its first royal visit by Henry II of England who passed by the town on coming back from a trip to Ireland. In 1188 Gerald of Wales mentions visiting the castle with Archbishop Baldwin during his progress around Wales preaching for the Third Crusade that Richard I of England the Lion Heart led to the Holy Land.

 

By 1200, many of the original timber buildings had been replaced with the first stone buildings, including a rectangular north eastern tower to serve as the castle's keep. At the same time, Robert fitz-Richard, son of Richard fitz-Tancred, had established Haverfordwest Priory, to which he retired in 1210;[4] That year, King John passed Haverford in order to sail to Ireland, so as to crush a rebellion by the Normans there. In 1213 the King persuaded William Marshal, who had inherited the surrounding Marcher Earldom of Pembroke (in jure uxoris), to garrison the castle in return for an exorbitant sum of money; William Marshall was already extremely wealthy.

 

William Marshal was responsible for replacing most of the original timber walls, towers and gatehouse with stone in the 1210s, and even by 1220 little remained of the original castle. Today all that remains of the 1120 establishment is a large square keep in the north-east corner of the inner ward. This mass reconstruction to strengthen the castle was likely due to the persistent attacks during this period.

 

In 1217, Llywelyn Fawr (Llywelyn the Great), Prince of Wales threatened William Marshal and in 1220 he burned the town but failed to take the castle. Following the burning of the town, it was rebuilt greater than before and developed quickly in the 13th century as a commercial centre due to its position at the centre of Pembrokeshire and its naval links. In 1248, Humphrey II de Bohun acquired the castle and resisted an attack in 1257 by Llywelyn ap Gruffudd, Prince of Gwynedd (Llywelyn the Last). In 1265, Haverfordwest castle was taken by William de Valence, Earl of Pembroke, during the Second Barons' War, but in 1274 royalty intervened and granted it back to the de Bohun family, to the next generation, Humphrey III de Bohun.

 

In 1284 King Edward I and Queen Eleanor of Castile visited the castle for the first time during a royal pilgrimage to St Davids. Eleanor was said to be in love with the castle. Four years later she borrowed a huge amount of money in those times to purchase the castle from the de Bohun family and loaned £407 (an extreme amount in those days) to fully rebuild the castle and complete its transition fully into stone. A massive scale reconstruction took place, and it was completed a year later in 1290, shortly before she died, although it long became known as the "Queen's Castle at Haverford". Today much of what remains is dated to Queen Eleanor's 1290 version, including the extensive curtain wall. The castle remained in Royal possession after Eleanor's death and it was granted out to various wealthy tenants.

 

In the 14th century, the castle was occupied by many owners, amongst them was Edward, the Black Prince, from 1359 to 1367. The castle was owned by the crown from 1381 to 1385, who paid for restoration works of the castle. These works proved important later, as in 1405 the castle was strong enough to fend off an attack during Owain Glyndŵr's War of Welsh independence. The town walls around the high ground near the castle also did much to protect the castle from invaders, although nothing remains of these town walls today. Over the centuries the castle was visited by numerous nobles and monarchs such as King Richard II and Oliver Cromwell.

 

By the 16th century, however, the castle had become dilapidated and subsequently was re-fortified during the English Civil War. In 1644 Haverfordwest Castle is documented as being occupied by the Royalists, but they abandoned it on misinterpreting the noises of cows for a Parliamentary army. It was recaptured and held for the king for a year, who finally surrendered after the Battle of Colby Moor nearby. Oliver Cromwell sent letters to the castle, ordering it to be destroyed in July 1648 and threatened to imprison the townsfolk unless it was demolished. These letters were only unearthed in 1986 and are currently on display in the town museum.

 

The derelict medieval castle was converted to a prison in 1779, although Giraldus Cambrensis records that part of the castle was used as a prison as early as 1188.

 

In 1820 a new prison building was erected within the castle grounds, mainly within the inner bailey. It had a capacity for 86 prisoners. In 1878 the remaining inmates were transferred to the gaol in Carmarthen. The building has subsequently been used as a police station and council offices. Today it houses the A museum. A cell door, leg irons, the original lock from the castle gate and numerous artifacts are on display. Today the castle is operated by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and is open to the public.

 

In 2010 there were plans to put the prison building on the market, with new council offices being built in the Prendergast area of Haverfordwest.

 

In January 2008 an extensive archaeological excavation was conducted at Haverfordwest Castle.

There had been some discussion, prior to NEMF, about photographing the specimens. After speaking with Bill Yule about it, I conducted an experiment, a run at shooting as many samples as I could. I managed to photograph all the specimens that had been identified from Friday morning’s forays, only stopping when the afternoon foray samples started to come in, at which point I was ready to collapse anyway.

 

So here is what I did:

 

I came in to set up somewhere between 9:30 and 10:00 AM. I had a small table, a tripod with an attachment for my iPhone (4s, if that matters, point is, a state-of-the-art model is not necessary) that is pretty much the same spring-loaded holder you get on a selfie stick. I had two lights, just little gooseneck bedside clamp lamps from IKEA. The light was yellow, but one can correct these things in one fell swoop. If needed, better lights can be acquired.

 

I put the lamps, one on each side, on the backs of chairs spaced a little ways away from my table. I had also brought tuff-spun and other diffusion materials and even a blue gel, but decided against using them. The point here is speed and ease. Quick and dirty is fine as long as the visual data is captured. There is no point in developing a system if it is not feasible.

 

I brought a roll of gaffer’s tape. (Yeah, my lights were crap, but I had the good tape.) Once things are positioned the legs of the table and tripod and light stands (chairs) are taped down and the tripod is taped to the table. If the power cords are in traffic areas, they should also be taped down for safety and to secure the set up. As my iPhone is elderly, I keep it plugged into to the power, and this was taped up the leg of the tripod. The longer you shoot, the more tired you get, the more likely you are to knock into things, so this is helpful.

 

I had a plastic mat with a grid on it as a background, but did not use it because it was a dark green. I ended up stealing some cardboard boxes that had held envelopes from the office supplies; the insides were a bit closer to the 18% gray that would have been ideal. Grid not so necessary, but I did miss the ease of cleaning the plastic mat. The optimal background material in the future would be around 18% and a non-reflective plastic. Some mushrooms were wet and left marks on the plastic. The dirt brushed off easily with a small terrycloth rag.

 

The photo station was set up next to the door. I photographed samples after they had been IDed, usually after the printed labels had been made. But in order to keep up with the volume of specimens, I kept working when Teague & Dorothy & everyone else had gone to the meeting. At that time I photographed specimens that had been IDed, but not yet entered into the system. In any event, I was photographing the mushrooms with their hand-printed data labels as these were smaller and contained more information.

 

Such mushrooms photographed before being entered were replaced in the queue. As soon as specimens were photographed and labeled, they were put on trays to be moved to the display room. (Often I ended up moving them when a tray was filled and I was waiting on new mushrooms to shoot.)

 

I had NOT photographed mushroom samples like this before, so I am sure I was doing a lot of wheel re-invention. So I was, and am, open to suggestions in this context. One of the attendees who had clearly done mushroom photography before was put off by my rough & ready set up because of the obvious shadows. This, I take it, goes against the common aesthetic conventions of mushroom photography. But I was not taking beauty shots. And aesthetics are largely fashion. Shadows define form and texture. Form and texture are data, so I wanted shadows. Well, enough shadows to provide information, not to obscure information.

 

I shot hard for about five hours and then I was TOAST. I ain’t as young as I used to be. To do this on a convention scale, a team of shooters would be optimal. Moreover, I would like to have two photo stations set up so I could have one dedicated to shooting macro. iPhone macro adapters are the way to go, IMO.

 

As it was I had two levels. Most mushrooms I shot on a box, but for the larger ones to fit in the frame I removed the box. This dropped the surface down about five inches and allowed larger mushrooms to fit into the frame.

 

To set up a shot I would place the label under the camera. I tried to put them roughly in the same position each time. Some were crumpled. Flattening them wasted time. Optimally I would have set up a label-sized piece of non-reflective glass or plastic on the background, hinged with a bit of gaffer’s tape. This would have solved the positioning issues nicely.

 

The samples were removed from their boats (looking at them all day long left me with a terrible craving for fried clams, or at least French fries) by hand so as to leave most of the dirt in the boat. A few specimens I had to brush off. Mostly I did not bother. Probably the largest chunk of time was spent positioning. If I had more time, I would have split more caps in order to show top and bottom surfaces. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to split stems/stalks/stipes (whatever you call ‘em) when there are multiple specimens at hand.

 

I had selected a table height under the assumption that I would be sitting. Absurd. No time to sit. I was moving constantly from table to table moving specimens. The angle made the whole thing a bit physically punishing. I won’t make that mistake again! Ergonomics are key!

 

A strong suggestion for future foray photo inventories is to shoot the wee tiny ‘shrooms first. I got photos, albeit not macros, of the Mycenas and what all. But they were so dehydrated by the time I got them that they were worthless. On the bright side, this meant I didn’t feel so bad about not having macro capability. But even with a splendid macro set up, if the specimens look like shit, there’s not point. So a bit of a presort has to happened wherein the teeny tinies and the fragile stuff are bumped to the front of the queue.

 

And the iPhone is frickin’ brilliant for this. I love cameras. I’ve done a lot with point & shoots. I like nice fancy DSLRs as well, but they are not necessary for this sort of project. More than that, a real camera would be a hassle. The iPhone has the memory, the software, the touch screen and it fits in a pocket. It makes all of this feasible. A few tweaks to the set up and it will go very smoothly next time. If there were two shooters, it would be easy, a piece of cake.

 

The photos are not art shots, but they show the specimens. Not a bad first try, I think. Are these beautiful? Maybe not so much. Still, like my Dad used to always tell us, “Good enough is better than the best!”

   

This is a photograph from the second running of the newly situated Irish 3/4 Marathon (formerly the Athlone 3/4) which was held in Longwood, Enfield, Co. Meath, Ireland on Sunday 8th of October 2017 at 10:00. The event is positioned perfectly in the calendar as a key training race before the Dublin City Marathon at the end of the month. This year was the second year that the event was held in Longwood, Co. Meath which is now well known for its hosting of the Longwood 10KM/5KM annual races and a host venue for East of Ireland Marathon series marathons on a bi-annual basis. The race started and finished at Longwood GAA club just outside the village of Longwood. It followed an anti-clockwise course around the beautiful picturesque countryside of south Meath. The course went through the townlands of Longwood, Castlerickard, Killyon, Hill-of-Down, Anneville and Ashfield Clonard, Blackshare, Stoneyford and back to Longwood. The river Boyne and Blackwater were crossed as was the Royal Canal and the Dublin-Sligo Railway line at Hill-of-Down. Overall this was a very different course to the previous years in Athlone. The overall elevation of the course works out at 3/4 of the total elevation of the Dublin Marathon course. What most stood out about today's race was the course and how the countryside around it looked on a beautiful almost perfect Autumn morning. There was a large local effort with stewarding and many local people watched from their gardens as the race passed by. The organisation of the race was first class with every detail taken care of from the start until the finish. There was some rain showers from about 13:00 onwards but these soon passed.

Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

 

     ►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

     ►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

     ►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

     ►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

Day 2 at Brands Hatch for the British Truck Racing Championship Season of 2021 and after Some Very Intense Battles and Superb Victories from Each of the Drivers on Saturday it was time Once again for Each Driver to Strap in and Get the Hammer Down.

 

The Weather Unlike Saturday was Beautiful with a bright Blue Sky during the Morning which no Doubt Lifted a lot of the Drivers Moods after Saturday had seen Very Grey and Overcast Conditions.

 

With Four British Truck Races Making Up the Largest Portion of the Days Events it will be interesting to see what Each Driver can do and How they Will Have to Preserve their Machinery to make it through Each Race.

 

With All Drivers Ready Having gotten up Early to do Final Checks and Adjustments to their Respective Cars it was Time to Get to Work and Take to the Race Track for Another Day of High Sped High Adrenaline Fuelled Action around the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit.

Starting the Day off was the Hyundai Coupe Cup A Racing Series Dedicated to the 2.0 Engine Hyundai Cars and a Large Grid of 22 Cars was Present as Qualifying Began.

In First Place Taking Pole Position and the Fastest Lap was (Alistair Dendy) in his Hyundai Coupe 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 58.735 and a Top Speed of 74.03mph. Brilliant Work from Alistair Really Pushing Hard and Keeping his Car Under Control The Entire Time.

 

In Second Place was (Wayne Rockett) in his Hyundai Coupe 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 59.123 and a Top Speed of 73.55mph. Amazing Job there Wayne Really Going for it and Pushing Hard.

 

In Third Place was (Alex Cursley) in his Hyundai Coupe 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 59.148 and a Top Speed of 73.52mph. Great Work there Alex Fantastic Driving to take P3 on the Grid for Race 1.

 

A Superb Flying Start to the Days Action with the Top Three Drivers in Alistair Wayne and Alex All Sitting Quite Close Together in Qualifying and no Doubt Other Drivers will also Be Looking to Fight their way Through the Field in order to try and take that Glory away from them.

 

With Qualifying Over Lets Turn Our Attention to the Racing and See out of Alistair Wayne or Alex who Had managed to hold their Composure and take that All Important First Victory.

CTRC was Up Next and After a Great Race Yesterday All of the Drivers were Ready to Strap in and Get to Work.

 

After a Hectic Day of Qualifying for The CRTC Yesterday it was Samuel Wilson who Grabbed The Pole with Gary Prebble in Second and Mike Saunders in Third Place with the Top Three Separated by Less than A Second Between Them.

 

Lets Find Out who Has Won in this Last Race of the Weekend for the CTRC Racing For Marshalls Race.

 

In First Place taking the Victory and The Fastest Lap was (Colin Claxton) in his Ford Escort MK1 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 55.365 and an Average Speed of 76.44mph. Brilliant Driving from Colin Working that Steering Wheel Hard and Putting in some Incredible Flying Laps to Maintain the Gap and Take a Deserving Victory.

 

In Second Place was (Samuel Wilson) in his Aston Martin V8 Vantage with a Best Lap Time of 51.471 and an Average Speed of 82.44mph. Really Great Drive from Samuel Pushing His Aston Martin as Hard as Possible to try and Catch the Speedy Colin Claxton.

 

In Third Place was (Malcom Harding) in his Ford Escort MK2 Zakspeed with a Best Lap Time of 51.682 and an Average Speed of 82.38mph. Really Amazing Work there from Malcom A Beautiful Looking Car Paired with a Confident and Determined Driver. A Well Deserved P3.

A Fan Favourite Up Next with the Junior Saloon Car Championship and After Some of the Most Incredible Racing Witnessed Yesterday During Race 1 Between the likes of Jamie and Ruben who Went Side by Side for Nearly Four Whole Laps Continuously This Next Race was for Sure Going to be a Head Turner.

In First Place Taking the Victory and The Fastest Lap was (Charlie Hand) in his Citron Saxo VTR 1600 with a Best Lap Time of 58.614 and an Average Speed of 61.94mph. Congratulations Charlie Another Brilliant Drive for the Final Race Win of the Weekend in Junior Saloon Cars and a Well Deserved Comeback Drive After Yesterdays Race.

 

In Second Place was (Harvey Caton) in his Citron Saxo VTR 1600 with a Best Lap Time of 58.573 and an Average Speed of 61.89mph. Brilliant Driving there Harvey Pushing the Car Hard through Paddock Hill Bend and Hanging onto that P2 Spot. Amazing Job.

 

In Third Place was (Will Redford) in his Citron Saxo 1600 with a Best Lap Time of 58.830 and an Average Speed of 61.85mph. Well Done Will A Great Drive to Finnish The Weekend off and No Doubt his Family and Team Will be Celebrating All Thought the Night for that Performance.

Pickup Truck Racing Championship (Race 2 Results)

 

Now it was the Turn of the Pickup Trucks Championship and with a Large Grid of 20 Light Weight Space Frame Pickup Trucks the Action from Yesterdays Qualifying Proved that This Race for going to be a Very Fast and Hectic One.

 

During Qualifying Second Fastest Yesterday it was Mark Wilson who Took Pole with Matt Simpson and Tom Jenkins Close Behind him in Second and Third Place. But out of All Three of thease Drivers who will be Brave Enough to Put their Foot Down and Go for it During the Race to take Victory?

 

In First Place Taking the Race Win and The Fastest Lap was (David O' Regan) in his Pickup Truck 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 52.463 and an Average Speed of 65.64mph. Amazing Driving there from David Especially through Paddock Hill Bend as the Trucks tend to Slide a lot through there but He was Keeping His Pickup Truck on Corse for a Very Well Deserved P1 Finish for the Weekend.

 

In Second Place was (George Turiccki) in his Pickup Truck 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 52.425 and an Average Speed of 65.61mph. Great Drive there by George Defending His Position Thought the Race and Hanging onto take an Impressive P2 Finish.

 

In Third Place was (Allen Cooper) in his Pickup Truck 2000 with a Best Lap Time of 52.265 and an Average Speed of 65.52mph. Really Well Driven from Allen to Take that Final P3 Spot on the Podium and to End what Has Been a Fantastic Weekend for the Pickup Trucks Racing Championship.

 

Brilliant Racing from the Pickup Truck Championship and some Fantastic Winners Across the Weekend with the likes of David George and Allen all Takin Victories. A Huge Well Done to All of the other Drivers who Also were pushing Hard for Victory Don't Give Up and Keep Fighting and Making Improvements to the Pickup Truck.

 

Legends Cars National Championship with MRF Tyres (Race 4 Results)

 

Next Up The Legends Cars Championship and During Qualifying Yesterday each Driver was Working Hard out on Track using the Slip Stream Technique in order to Give Themselves a Boost down the Main Straight in order to take Pole Position.

 

After Qualifying it was The Legends Car of Chris Needham who took that All Important Pole Position with Will Gibson and John Mickel Following Closely Behind in Second and Third Place Respectively.

 

With Three Races Ahead who would come out on Top in Race 4 and Take Victory.

 

In First Place Setting the Fastest Lap and Taking the Victory was (Miles Rudmann) in his Legend 34 Ford Coupe 1250 with a Best Lap Time of 56.042 and an Average Speed of 76.13mph. Fantastic Driving from Miles who was Really Pushing Hard at the Front of the Grid and Making sure he was Keeping as Many other Drivers Behind him as Possible. Great Drive.

 

In Second Place was (Will Gibson) in his Legends 34 Ford Coupe 1250 with a Best Lap Time of 56.127 and an Average Speed of 76.12mph. Great Driving from Will Who Always knows a Thing or to About How to Control a Legends Car around the Circuit.

 

In Third Place was (Jack Parker) in his Legends 34 Ford Coupe with a Best Lap Time of 56.085 and an Average Speed of 76.12mph. Fantastic Driving from Jack to Keep Himself in that P3 Position and take a Well Deserved Victory. Great Work there Jack.

 

An Exciting First Race from the Legends Championship which Currently sees the likes of Miles Will and Jack all Taking Superb Victories During the Corse of Race 4 But With Race 5 About to Start Will Anyone Else Surprise them by Taking Those Positions Away.

In Second Place was (Miles Rudman) in his Legends 34 Ford Coupe 1250 with a Best Lap Time of 55.524 and an Average Speed of 76.88mph. Another Superb Drive from Miles to take Second Place Showing his Incredible Speed and Commitment to Remain as Close as he Can to Race Winner Daniel.

 

In Third Place was (Andy Bird) in his Legends Coupe 1250 with a Best Lap Time of 55.847 and an Average Speed of 76.85mph. Brilliant Driving there from Andy and Pushing Hard thought the Race to Defend his P3 Position.

Finally it was The Time for the Heavy Weights of Motorsport to Make their way out onto the Circuit for the Last Time this Weekend in the British Truck Racing Championship.

 

After Qualifying Yesterday Which saw Ryan Smith Dominate The Times with Stuart Oliver in Second and David Jenkins in Third Place All Three Drivers were Once Again Ready to Battle it out for The Last Time this Season to Determined who The Champion of 2021 Will Be.

 

Lets Dive Straight into Race 2 and See who is going to Strike First and Make their Mark on the Race Track.

 

In First Place Taking the Fastest Lap and The Race Victory was (Ryan Smith) in his Mercedes Actros 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.232 and an Average Speed of 72.19mph. Congratulations Ryan Really Incredible Drive and in Dominant Fashion to take The Win in Race 1 Superb Job.

 

In Second Place was (Stuart Oliver) in his Volvo VNL 13000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.949 and an Average Speed of 71.34mph. Fantastic Drive there Stuart Fighting Hard and More Determined than Ever Judging by the Way he Threw that Truck Round Paddock Hill Bend Really going for it.

 

In Third Place was (David Jenkins) in his Man TGX 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:01.146 and an Average Speed of 71.11mph. Fantastic Work there David P3 and a Superb Effort to try and Take Third Place from Stuart Oliver.

In First Place Taking the Victory and the Fastest Lap was (Ryan Smith) in his Mercedes Actros 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 58.984 and an Average Speed of 71.78mph. Congratulations Ryan Another Incredible Drive an a Real Determined Charge to Keep that Truck as Far Ahead of All the other Competitors as Possible. Extraordinary Performance.

 

In Second Place was (Mark Taylor) in his Man TGA 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.395 and an Average Speed of 71.15mph. Great Driving there from Mark who was Pushing Hard and Keeping the Gap to Ensure He got that All Important P2. Fantastic Drive.

 

In Third Place was (Steven Thomas) in his Man TGA 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.021 and an Average Speed of 71.05mph. Well Done Steven Driving Really Well and Making Sure to Defend from Fourth Place John Newell to Hold onto that P3 Finish.

 

Another Daring and Exciting Race in which Ryan Smith Once Again Dominates at The Top of the Standings by being an Insane 2 Seconds Faster a Lap Compared to Mark Taylor. A Big Congratulations to Both Mark and Steven for their Respective Finishes too.

 

Race 4 is up next and This Could be The Race Which Decides the Championship. Will Ryan Smith be able to Hold on or Will David Jenkins in Second Place in the Standings Have other Ideas.

In Second Place was (Tom O' Rourke) in his Man TGX 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.985 and an Average Speed of 70.66mph. Congratulations To A Fantastic Drive and so Great to See a New Face in P2 on the Podium Phenomenal Job.

 

In Third Place was (Martin Gibson) in his Man TGX 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.985 and an Average Speed of 70.59mph. Fantastic Job there Martin Super Driving and Defending Well for that P3 Finish.

 

With David Jenkins Having Just Won that Last Race it Looks like Race 5 and The Final Race of the Weekend is going to Determine who The Champion for 2021 is in British Truck Racing. Will it be David Jenkins or Will it be Ryan Smith?

Congratulations Ryan you are the 2021 British Truck Racing Champion a Phenomenal Drive All Weekend and through the Season.

 

In Second Place was (John Newell) in his Man TGS 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.047 and an Average Speed of 70.85mph. Fantastic Race there John Finishing in P2 to Round off the Weekends Racing no Doubt Many Celebrations will be Happening down in the Paddock.

 

In Third Place was (Shane Brereton) in his Man TGX 12000 with a Best Lap Time of 1:00.072 and an Average Speed of 70.82mph. Great Work there Shane Taking a Well Deserved P3 spot on the Podium and Racing with Such Accuracy and Craft thought.

 

What An Incredible Weekend it has Been for Ryan Smith who is Your British Truck Racing Champion of 2021 on 390 Points. Congratulations Ryan Go out and Celebrate This Moment In Style.

 

In Second Place in the Standings is David Jenkins on 380 Points who put up one Hell of a Good Fight All Thought the Season with Ryan Smith Non the Less a Well Deserving Second Place in the Championship from Such a Committed Driver.

 

And Finally In Third Place in the Standings was Martin Gibson on 350 Points who Also Put up an Incredible Fight All Season Having Been Fighting his way Through the Field on More than One Occasion.

 

A Fantastic End to a Weekend of Incredible Racing and as The Truck Parade and Fireworks Went off I can Imagine that Each Driver Reflected on what they Have Achieved this Year and the Countless People they May have Inspired to go out and Challenge their Dreams of Becoming a Racing Driver.
