Pile Driver OB's cab rotates into position to drive a small pile (basically, a piece of a telephone pole) in the Antonito Yard. The pile has been pointed on one end to facilitate penetration into the ground.

Here is another odd sleeping position. Ozzy seems to be slabbed out on and off his doggy bed. It cracks me up when I see this. There was barely any light in the room, so I had to shoot at this ridiculously high ISO and I think the Sony did damn well for it.

New wiper blade time. Looking at the various options I went for Bosch blades - a front and rear set delivered for £33.95.
This process is much easier if you put the wipers into the 'service position' on a Volvo.
This is achieved by:
1. Insert key into dash.
2. Turn on ignition, but do not start.
3. Turn off ignition.
4. Hold wiper stalk up - wipers will move to vertical position and stay there.
5. Remove key.
Turning the ignition on will move wipers back to normal park position.
Uplighters have been positioned in the large open plan work space to bounce light off reflective panels in the ceiling adding to the pleasant working environment.

Not in December maybe, but in warmer weather this is a glorious seat to sit on and admire the view ahead.
Little set of photos taken during a very windy and cold walk around Bosham Quay in West Sussex. Having said that it was so lovely and sunny, just calling out for photos to be taken.
Legend has it that the attractive village of Bosham in West Sussex is where King Canute told the incoming tide to turn back.
It is also thought that a skeleton found in the church, in 1865 during renovation work, is that of Canute's daughter Gunhilda of Denmark who is supposed to have drowned in nearby Bosham Mill.

1n 1942 whilst on route to Vaenga, Murmansk in Northern Russia from the Shetland Islands, P.O.Perry flying PL-K (Kitty) for Fleet protection duties, due to weather conditions the P.O Perry was forced to close to the German positions, attacked by ground fire and finally shot down by Bf109's from Petsamo Airfield in Finland and finally crash landing on the Kola Peninsula.

I love a little contrast in an outfit!
Maybe it’s a little weird to wear a faux fur coat and shorts, but I like the juxtaposition of fancy and casual.

Hitherto hidden from sight by a high hedge, and a covering of thick ivy. It stands beside the A5209 in Newburgh, just over the bridge crossing the River Douglas. Its line of fire covers the aqueduct carrying the Leeds and Liverpool Canal (a WW2 defensive line with many and varied pillboxes etc from here westwards) over the river.
Australian Army soldiers from the 3rd Battalion The Royal Australian Regiment conduct a dawn raid on a suspected insurgent position at the Tully Training Area on July 17 during Exercise Hamel 2014.
Exercise Hamel 2014 (7 July – 1 August 2014) is the Australian Army’s annual Foundation War-fighting exercise designed to assess and certify both the 6th Combat Support Brigade and 3rd Brigade with their assigned Force Elements as having the necessary skills to conduct future operations.
Around 5,000 personnel are taking part in the 25-day exercise, including troops from the New Zealand Defence Force, United States Army and United States Marine Corps along with members from across the wider Australian Defence Force.
Exercise Hamel 2014 is currently being conducted throughout the Atherton Tablelands and various Defence Training Areas in North Queensland. The Australian Army’s mission is to provide the Australian Government with a ready, relevant and agile land force.

This stretch of track between Passyunk Avenue and Girard Point was built as a joint venture between the PRR and B&O under pressure from the City of Philadelphia to remove the many at-grade lines in South Philadelphia.
Known as the South Philadelphia Agreement, this project -among other things - would involve PRR elevating it's tracks along 25th Street from Washington Avenue to Passyunk, as well as accessing it's Girard Point and Greenwich Point freight yards.
B&O would also run it's tracks through here from their yard across the Schuylkill River from Bartram's Garden, with the ultimate goal of establishing a new yard on Greenwich Point as well. (This yard was never developed and the land was sold to the Philadelphia Navy yard for construction of Mustin Airfield).
Today, PRR's Greenwich Yard is under control of CSX, and both PRR and B&O lines are used for freight service to various destinations like New York, Baltimore, and points beyond. However capacity has been reduced over time (particularly on the Tidewater spur) resulting several abandoned tracks and underused bridges.
