This bird kept posing for me for a good 10 minutes. I crept ever closer, pushing my luck, a few shots with each step as the bird turned, spread its wings, looked at me etc. A very cooperative model.
Langa township, Cape Town. This boy was walking along and saw me just as he stepped into a shaft of sunlight, like a stage spotlight. He stopped momentarily and pulled this straight-backed, sideways pose (here I am!) then carried on his way. I often think about him, I wonder how he is now, what he is doing, whether he will get a job, maybe one day get into acting - he's such a natural.

Plank Pose, or Phalakasana in Sanskrit, is a strength training pose that works all major abdominal muscles, while also strengthening your shoulder, chest, neck, glute, quadriceps, and back muscles. I have no idea what her costume was supposed to be, or if she just showed up in a bikini and started posing.
I started to digitize a pose doll back in time, to make machine embroidery design out of it. Not for doll clothes because of the big-ness and high detail, but maybe for other stuff.. human sized stuff that is. It simply has to be big or it will just jam the sewing machine.
Found the unfinished file and I decided to start again.
I traced a photo I took of my own pose doll and once I traced her beautiful face I stopped because she has the southern belle style going on.
Now as I am back again, I printed the file and did pencil drawing and gave her a 60's hair style instead.
What do you think? Do you think the hair looks ok?
The "stripes" are for my own reference as to put the stitch direction for the embroidery design.

A set of 10 photos from the early 1980's. The man in the blue trunks is identified as Peter Neff. He is an contributing editor of Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness Magazine author, lecturer & holds 25 bodybuilding titles.
My wife & I both enjoy the sport of weight lifting/bodybuilding. My wife can't lift anymore because her health & I am getting back into it slowly after some years off. These bodybuilder photos I found on line. A form of inspiration of what can be achieved through dedication and hard work. But realistically I am to old to look like that & I can't spend hours & hours in the gym. I am not as young as I used to be. But I do enjoy the time I spend in the gym.

Bob took this picture, and it's a good one. Norton showing his stuff on the beach in Yachats. His first trip to the ocean. Day one he got kind of pounced on by a much bigger labrador retriever. Day two was beautiful, and Norton ran a lot on the sand. No wind on Day two...much better for dogs with big ears!
This is not her finished outfit. The skirt was supposed to be a dress, but it didn't fit :(
So now I need to start over, but I didn't want to wait making pictures of her. With the weather we have lately we run out of daylight very fast.

I'm also very disappointed her eyes photograph so dark because I really like these eyes when I look at her.
I should find my 'real' camera and see wether it is because of my mobile photographing skills or just the eyes.
