I took this photo because I liked how the lighting was soft and illuminating. I composed the photo so that it looked more natural and melancholic. I didn't want her to pose and look straight into the camera, and instead, I had her look down and fix her hair so I could include some emotion in the shot. I liked how the bold colors of her shirt clearly stood out from the dark brown fence.
