Welcome, foolish mortals... The original picture wasn't all that great - very pixelized.

@ Karneval der Kulturen -watching the parade from the sidewalk....

I used a free program called GIMP to color this drawing and then edited it in Picasa to add the soft focus and whatnot. The coloring part went pretty well except it pixelized the picture heavily and I had to try to fill in the gaps in the lines by hand.

New Item for my "Head Potrait" Collection :)

It took me a long time to slice up the whole image ...

i hope you enjoy it!

tip: step back and you'll see it sharp :D

You know I love UP. I'll be proud of our Basketball team even in the face of Ateneans and LaSallians (yep, I really will :P ). But she's one of the two girls whose voice can sway my loyalty. She studies at the University of Santo Tomas. Her name is Rjeelyn Tolentino (you would read that as ar-ji-lin).

Trivia: She was crowned as Prom Queen in our Senior year. Wow.

(I believe I have already uploaded a picture of her once, albeit in a group shot)

I love this shot albeit the lighting is poor. Like, what's with the pixelized shadows? They dimmed the lights because she's singing a prayer. Turning my camera's flash on will ruin everything.

Last night Ren, Katz, Nadiv, Ele and I went salsa dancing in Herzelia. It was amazing fun and I hope to go again soon.

Picture filtered in Photoshop to remove pixelization and adjust contrast/brightness.

Tulips in bloom, roughly 68 degrees, first week of asparagus, and the people are out in force.

Faces have been pixelized to protect people's privacy when viewing at larger sizes. Otherwise, the picture is unaltered.

Daily App Experiment #228: "Tickled" - shot this photo on the street in San Mateo with the #Hipstamatic app, then ran it through #DotCam to pixelize it. Then used #stripecam to render some extra copies of the image and merged the original and altered images with the #Diptic app. #appsperiment #daily_appsperiment

this was the first time I have ever made pixel art. i created screenshots of a fictitious video game about saint patrick’s day. my main influence was super mario world for super nintendo.

It fell from the sky into my backyard today (August 12, 2007). It's probably nothing exotic, since this is Toronto (Ontario, Canada). It was clearly injured, so I was able to get up close, before it half flew into a neighbour's yard. I lost track of it, and then it appeared briefly, but was gone again when I went out to have a look. Anyone know what it is?

Québec City. A portion of BGL's art installation at Espace. I watched Robert Lepage's fascinating Image Mill projected against these grain silos one night. It was very cool.

Not loving the composition, but I'm digging the pixelized effect on the building in the center.

The roof of the Calatrava winery at Ysios is made up of straight sections of laminated wood beams supported by load bearing concrete walls on the north and south sides to describe the sin wave. In a way, the exposed structure of the Gehry canopies at the Marques de Riscal shares a certain affinity with this project. In both wineries, the rule lines are made visible and foundation for the overall geometry. Though of course here, the rule lines have been fetishized to a higher degree, encompassing both structure and surface. The individual wood beams themselves are clad. Though the pixelization effect is pretty cool.

Window Mesh

I took a shot out of my window of a tree in my neighbor's backyard, but I also tried to get the mesh screen to be somewhat visible also. I like how it kind of pixelizes the tree behind it.

Riverside, IL: View east from the Cowley Road grade crossing as the end of the eastbound BNSF Railway unit coal train in the previous photo nears the Herbert Road pedestrian crossing. Straight ahead is a westbound Metra commuter train that has stopped at the Harlem Avenue station.

Note: This photo was made by a heavy cropping of the original (not posted here). I then increased the saturation and over-sharpened it to produce a pixelized effect.

Discovered this when adding keywords to images. Taken June 22, 2008 at 19:30.

This is heavily cropped from original image. A tighter crop becomes distractingly pixelized.

Looks like a nightjar but field marks are confusing. We have three nightjars in this area: Common nighthawk, common poorwill and chuck will's widow, the latter two usually identified at night by call. Wing and tail shape here don't look at all like nighthawk, but per guides the other two lack white wing bars. So it's a a mystery

Book: "Web Design. The Evolution of the Digital World 1990–Today" -Taschen tinyurl.com/y38ddhvw

"This collection is a visual journey through time, gathering the very earliest examples of what we today take for granted: the first website to use surround sound, the first drag-and-drop navigation, the first page-turn effect, the first website to use seamless video integration, the first viral site, the first parallax website, the first ‘upload-your-face’ website, the first site to incorporate a mobile phone, the first ever YouTube-like “website”, and many more.

It gathers more than 200 websites, and each comes with quotes and insights from the creators themselves―an invaluable peek into the minds of pioneers who paved the pixelized way for many to follow, including Jonathan Gay (Flash), Gabo Mendoza (Gabocorp), Yugo Nakamura (Yugop), Peter Van Den Wyngaert (NRG.BE), Joshua Davis (Praystation), and Eric Jordan (2Advanced)."

A retro arcade gaming console. Theme involving a running robot. Pixelization of TV screen somewhat exadurated to maintain retro gaming effect.

catching a glimpse of the track played... tried to "pixelize" it out as much as possible

I'm no great shakes at pixel art, but I like to do it anyway.

The lines turned kinda pixelized

Used grain to fix pixelization issues in background; used masking to fix broken "line" in the tree-building mask edge; modified eye light "projection"'s artificial vignetting.

Where there was something in the shadow or highlight areas I brought out what was there, without pixelization or cloning into areas where there was no image data.

I just discovered the "pixelize" blur filter on GIMP...the fun begins.

Sherri Erison has fired 900 Bank Hapoalim employees so that the bank can run more smoothly. This is a result: standing line for standing in line. I wasted 12 minutes on that line. The pixelization - because one of the women threatened to sue.
