Quell'odore è dato dai composti contenenti cianuro.
Took this picture last Friday in Hawrelak Park in Edmonton.
I wish you all a great week and take care my friends and visitors. Thank you all for the comments, awards, invitations and friendship!!! Love you all.....

I was on my way to work today, when some horses came by the train station Vesterport, where I get off every morning......(Unfortunately there wasn't time to set the camera, so these photos are taken at 1600 ISO)
The building behind the carriage is the old central station of Copenhagen transformed into the movie theater "Palads" and owned by Nordisk Film - as far as I know the oldest movie production company in operation in the world.

I recently visited Morro Bay , specifically Morro strait a section of beach that words can barely descibe. Kids, dogs, and coulples just walking along this beach cannot help but be awestruck by the immense size of the rock and the atmosphere it seems to generate. The waves lap along the shore and the sun seems to just hover and play with the outline of the rock. Here is the series of shot I took this day as the sun slowly went down.
a must see for anyone visiting pismo beach or highway 1 on the California coastline. PS the riders of these horses asked me to post this as they said "they have no shots of them riding on this beach" I hope this finds you well.

ENGLISH
Castel Nuovo (English: "New Castle"), often called Maschio Angioino is a medieval castle located in front of Piazza Municipio and the city hall (Palazzo San Giacomo) in central Naples, Campania, Italy. Its scenic location and imposing size makes the castle, first erected in 1279, one of the main architectural landmarks of the city. It was a royal seat for kings of Naples, Aragon and Spain until 1815.
It is the headquarters of Neapolitan Society of Homeland History and of the Naples Committee of the Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento. In the complex there is also the civic museum, which includes the Palatine Chapel and the museum paths on the first and second floors.

I View Sydney in White On Black I
Although I find this sort of photography ( infrared ) too messy to do to often I found this one in my archive so quick PP and here we go....sight on Sydney CBD in infrared.
Worst part of doing and PP infrared images it is the reducing high noise in background due long exposure... this image is one of my first IR shots done with Canon 30D....it is winter here in Australia so it is good to see Sydney in White...

In the poorer neighborhoods of Baltimore, one of the weapons of choice for self-defense is the box cutter. It will do damage, but not too much damage; it is cheap and easily hidden in the palm of the hand; and it won't get you locked up on a concealed deadly weapon charge if you get hassled by the police.
An ex-Baltimore Police officer used to rent a furnished apartment on my block a number of years ago. He left the police on disability retirement after his liver or kidneys stopped working properly (I can't remember which). When he was police, he worked the overnight shift, slept in his car, and always made a point of locking up some hapless smokehound or junkie on bullshit charges right before his shift ended so that he could collect court overtime the next morning.
He used to walk up to the the 7-11 on Orleans Street and Patterson Park Avenue every night after midnight to buy smokes. One time, a teenager tried to rob him, and he slashed the kid's face pretty badly with a box cutter. He was laughing when he told the story. I doubt the kid ever reported the incident to the police – a stuck stick-up artist isn't going to get much sympathy from the cops.
Eventually, my neighbor developed a bit of a heroin problem and was evicted – all of his stuff thrown out on the sidewalk, the whole drama.
Fall colours at Deer Lake in Burnaby near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
About this photo: Fall is my favourite season and that season starts tomorrow! I am so excited and can't wait for the leaves to change colours soon. In the mean time I will share a photo I took last year around mid October at beautiful Deer Lake in Burnaby near Vancouver. This place is only about 10-15 minute drive from my place, so I will be checking it out over there frequently and hope that the colours will be as vibrant this year as well.

Some information on Deer Lake Park: Burnaby is a city which belongs to the Greater Vancouver area and is about 10-15 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Deer Lake is a relaxing 5 kilometre/3 mile walk around an urban lake just outside of Vancouver. The walking trail around the lake is good any time of year and is very popular with dog walkers in and around Burnaby. Trails in the park lead to a kids playground, washrooms, a boat launch and picnic tables. In the summer months Deer Lake Boat Rentals offers canoe, kayak and pedal boat rentals. Gas or electric motors are not allowed on this lake.
Deer Lake is also home to the Burnaby Art Gallery, Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, Burnaby Village Museum and Century Gardens. The Burnaby Art Gallery manages the City of Burnaby's permanent art collection while the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is a multi-purpose community arts facility providing public exhibitions, performances, festivals and art classes. The Burnaby Village Museum depicts life in the area from the 1920's. They have reconstructed 31 full scale buildings over 10 acres, with staff in costumes like in the 1920's.
Deer Lake Park is a great place for outdoor activities and cultural life in Burnaby. Whether you want to visit an art gallery or see an outdoor concert, Deer Lake Park is the place you will find it. Your kids will love the park for the beach, the playground, the water activities and the Burnaby Village Museum. In the summer months the park comes alive with outdoor concerts and lake activities and in the off season it is a relaxing park to go for a quiet walk around the scenic trails.

The sun with the help of the clouds created me a silhouette of the mountains which we are several hundred miles from......this photo has not been altered with the exception of minor cropping due to power lines and changed the contrast.......may all of you have a great long Memorial day weekend
We found this wonderful and mystic location at the last day of our vacation. It is located at the shore of Los Hervideros, where the lava of the Timanfaya eruption flew into the ocean. The picture was taken at low tide, so you can see both, the rounded pepples and rocks in the foreground and the sharp-edged lava in the background.
It was hard for us to say goodbye to Lanzarote at this place, on the other hand it is a great incentive to come back again.
I wanted to title this picture in spanish and hope it's passably okay :-)

To be serious, one of my top-ten super hero movies is definitely Big Hero 6. It has a great storyline despite that it's made for kids. Furthermore the animations are really well done and the emotions of the characters are captured perfectly. In addition all the scenes in the movie are filled with a lot of nice details.
The fact that they used a Fall out Boy song makes everything even better!
I especially liked how they designed Hiro's Workshop. It's full of stuff.
Now with a SuperHero competition on Imperium der Steine I had the chance to build it in Lego.
If you want to see more details or how dusty my bricks are, look at the picture in high resolution
Peratallada that has been declared historical artistic, is one of the most important nuclei Ampurdán about medieval architecture is concerned. In a special attraction and beauty, retains its old feudal aspect, where destacarn that the castle with its tower and the palace of the tribute (s. XI-XIV), walls (s. XII-XIII) and the church of San Esteban (Romance of the early twelfth century). Draws attention to the great moat that surrounds the town, dug into the rock. Hence the name of the Town: Stone carving.
The village retains the same distribution medieval city: from Piazza Maggiore, with its unique porch, until the fabric of narrow streets, where they discover a set of interesting architecture.

While driving around downtown Vancouver, we came across an alley that was completely filled with incredible graffiti. After about an hour of checking out hundreds of different pieces, we decided to do some skateboarding and snap a few pics.
My world was white today....
Radiation frost (also called hoar frost or hoarfrost) refers to the white ice crystals, loosely deposited on the ground or exposed objects, that form on cold clear nights when heat losses into the open skies cause objects to become colder than the surrounding air. [...] air hoar is a deposit of hoar frost on objects above the surface, such as tree branches, plant stems, wires.

Una delle mie preferite. L'espressione femminile islamica. Perdente, sottomessa e infinitamente triste... Direi orgogliosamente disperata.

The genus Agapanthus was established by L'Heritier in 1788. It used to be included in the Liliaceae (lily family), was then moved to the Amaryllidaceae (amaryllis and daffodil family), moved again into the Alliaceae (onion family) then back to Amaryllidaceae and now resides in its own family, the Agapanthaceae.
The name Agapanthus is derived from the Greek agapé love and anthos, flower. There is no clear reason for this derivation although it could be interpreted as 'lovely flower' or 'flower of love'. Agapeo means 'to be contented with' which is a possible derivation, i.e. 'flower with which I am well pleased'. The specific name praecox means early, premature, unseasonable or precocious in Latin, and was possibly given because compared to the other species it is an early flowerer; minimus means smallest, which it is; and orientalis of the east, which is most likely a case of mistaken origin. Quite often in those days, the ships carrying the new plant material back to Europe came from the East, via the Cape, and some of the botanists assumed that all the plants on board came from the East.
One of the things I love the most about photography is how as a photographer you are in total control to tell a story through the picture. The mood, setting, as well as the feelings the picture portrays are all completely within your control. How you compose and capture a particular scene can tell such a different story from one photograph to another.
This photograph and my previous post linked below are a great example of how by simply changing a few minor elements, I was able to drastically change not only the mood, but the emotion the scene conveys. Both photographs from this location were taken on the same morning. In fact, no more than five minutes separates the two shots. As well the photographs were taken from within ten feet of each other, and yet they convey such different scenes to the viewer.
The composition of my earlier post conveys a sense of order and symmetry. The smoothed out long exposure water adds a sense of calm to the scene. The B&W conversion further adds to the lack of drama and emphasizes a smoothness and flow from front to back. Overall the image conveys that sense of peace throughout.
In comparison the composition of this image conveys a sense of asymmetry and disorder. The motion of the water and waves exploding on the foreground pier adds a sense of danger and excitement. The raw power of the waves building in the ocean amplifies the drama of the scene. Lastly the warmer red and yellow colors on the horizon convey a sense of warmth and energy.
To me, this is the true heart of photography, the ability to capture and convey the emotion of a scene in a manner that it tells a unique story.
I always appreciate your critique on any of my images, as it helps me to improve.
