This was taken on our first day at the Grand Canyon I believe this was at Hopi Point. We watched as rain and storms kept moving around in the canyon except I did not capture any lightning shots.
This shot is a 6 photo panoramic view of the canyon.
After running round its train at Blea Moor, 66770 now heads south with 6E53 through Ribblehead Station. It is working the 0930 Ribblehead Quarry - Hunslet loaded stone train on the 11th September 2018. Seen passing through the station at 1011
As we were leaving Wheatlands that beautiful farm I love so much, we were accompanied by buck on either side of the road. This one was quite close and was running at great speed. I shot from the car and then fiddled with the image to get some kind of aesthetic.
I thought I was done with the drama of this storm passing to the north. Apparently not - this portrait frame kept nagging at me so here it is.
Even though it's very similar to an image posted previously, I quite like the rocks and the wash in the foreground.

The Black-capped Night Heron's are in full nesting mode at the Lakeshore rookery in Fremont. As they went from gathering branches from a nearby eucalyptus tree it was fun catching them as they were 'passing by' from sky to trees in background for the changing bokeh.
Snowy Egrets are also there but appeared to be in more of a pairing up mode before the nest building!

This long exposure shot was taken in downtown Kitchener, Ontario just shortly after sunset. A lone women sits and waits for the ION train to pick her up at this location. The light trails are from a handful of cars passing through this not very busy location in the evening.

A late Summer day in 2019 finds the then daily RUPO trundling down the Rumford Branch at North Leeds, ME. The train is passing the DeCoster feed mill where counterpart PORU stops to "feed the chickens" once or twice a week. Former N&W high hood GP40 #380 was the only one left of its kind still operating on Pan Am at the time and was scrapped in late 2020.
..."Running through memories like thieves in the night
Hold turns to dust, shattered by light
We were talking, passing strangers
Moments caught across an empty room
Wasted whispers, faded secrets
Quickly passes, time goes,
time goes by too soon"...
