An old light bulb that has been lying at the shed window for a couple of years. Had a play around with HDR Efex Pro 2 for this. Here is the same bulb from nearly 2 years ago... www.flickr.com/photos/mistergc/6840917718/

Dear friends, I´m very busy this week. So I´ll come back to your wonderful photos not until next weekend. By then ... stay on the passing lane, folks ;-)

Returning home from a week camping in Southeast Oregon, the storm clouds were quite impressive. I stopped at this expansive view and took this image.

I don't normally upload similar picture style within a short period of time. However, I think it is a good time to end this human/ocean theme started last week with "Riding with a monster." I am tired of seeing ocean pictures already.

This shot has a different tale than that close-up. Enjoy your Sunday !

Snow dusting all day today but Lady Spring is on her way...

Update since some of you have asked; I'm still seeing my chiropractor for back and neck concerns from the Jan. accident, continued healing going on....but I'm doing well!

This is a self portrait image inspired by a recent trip to the Isle of Skye. The majority of roads on Skye are single track with passing places dotted along them. After spending a lot of time waiting in these for oncoming traffic it got me thinking. So after searching for the most appropriate passing place I could find this one with the Quiraing in the background seemed the perfect place to,well...'pass'.

I hope you like my image and thanks for taking the time to view it.

TransPennine Express meets TransPennine Express at Hall Royd Junction – 185107 & 185102 approach with 1P30, the 15:54 Scarborough – Manchester Victoria while 185105 & 185118 recede into the distance with 1P35, the opposite working. 25 September 2025.

Its a real shock when you first witness this , a giant cruise liner making its way down the Canale della Giudecca separating the main island with Giudecca bringing in a new influx of tourists to the city . This fragile old city having to accommodate all these giant vessels in its near vicinity , the scale between the two looks terrifying , the impact of the modern world with its mass tourism seems daunting .

The Doges Palace is on the left with the columns with the Lion of St. Mark the symbol of the city and St. Theodore the first patron saint of the city .

This is early in the morning , the start of yet another day before the masses arrive , the only people about are the street cleaners who sweep the this public square daily and the odd photographer trying to get some early morning captures .

Time moves slowly but passes quickly;

You can either enjoy it or waste it...

Use it to do things that makes you happy;

Spend it with the ones that you love.

PASSING TIME.

I have finally got my ND filters, rings,bag and shutter release remote to go with the 6d and lenses I brought. I'm set up and ready to go now. which is a relief, iv been waiting to be in this position for close to a month now. and it is much easier when I'm on location to have what I need and to be able to get it with ease. my old set up could only carry 1 camera and 2 lenses and a few accessories. but now I'm equipped to cary 2 bodys, 6 lens, flash and all my other bits and nobs. I got out today after work quickly to give the nd's a test,and I was quiet happy with the quality. I only got this shot single image but that's all I needed. minimal to no vignette, no color cast problems, and was crystal clear with minimal noise. Any way, Thanks for viewing and have a good day.

MAWA lead by MEC GP40 316 heads west past the signal bracket in Pittsfield. The signals along the line past CPF 107 are no longer in use and most of the heads have been removed. However in the signal bracket would be more work to remove so Pan Am opted to leave it in place.
