I'm glad that you have resolved to participate in our current challenge in Surrealart Group.
But your picture, with the painting of Michelangelo showing the creation of Adam by God the Father, deserves some repairs. As for the picture of Adam, that is fine, but the representation of God the Father Creator, as a robot is succeptible to an interpretation of disrespect to our faith. I ask you not to be offended, but I have to watch over the harmony of the group. If you cut only Adam's photo, you'll be great for the challenge.

I declined to censor the image, as the image was created totally within the brief given by jaci XIII, and I was somewhat affronted by her apparent assertion that there was only one religion followed universally.

I'm a bit unsure how to respond to your email.
I've read & re-read the brief given for the comp, and believe I've followed the brief correctly, ie 'you will have to choose a work of art from the Renaissance, it may be painting or sculpture, but it will have to be from this period, and merge with robot parts, to give this surreal appearance'.
I cannot find any reference to excluding particular images, or parts of images, from the Renaissance period.
If you feel the image is so offensive, then I guess it's your prerogative to remove it. Personally, I would like to think that people would see art for art's sake, and not censor on the basis of personal whims or beliefs.
It would probably be an idea to make sure restrictions based on your faith are entered into the brief

jaci XIII removed/censored my image, and posted a somewhat incoherent rant on her Surealart site www.flickr.com/groups/2676496@N21/discuss/72157694521457564/.
I have subsequently resigned from jaci XIII's "Surealart" group in disgust, and have posted the image in multiple groups to gauge how sensible people would view it (personally, I see nothing wrong with it, and certainly meant no offense when creating it, and have had nil negative feedback - apart from the aforementioned histrionic and offensive diatribe from jaci XIII).
The only (many) responses have been positive.
I have been extremely saddened & distressed by jaci XIII's actions.
I can't help but feel that such intolerance and discrimination has been bolstered by Trump's residency in the White House

The village of St Germans lies on the River Tiddy, part of the beautiful estuary of the Lynher which joins the River Tamar close to Saltash.
St Germans’ Quay was busy in the last century with cargoes of minerals, coal, timber and limestone. Road stone was transported from here until the Second World War.
The 106 ft high St Germans Viaduct carries the train over the River Tiddy and on to Plymouth, one of many in Cornwall. The topography of Cornwall is such that the route, which is generally east-west, cuts across numerous deep river valleys that generally run north-south. At the time of construction of the line, money was in short supply and the company sought ways of reducing expenditure, so the viaducts were built partly or entirely from timber. Brunel, who had designed the line, had warned that this would mean more expensive maintenance—running to £10,000 annually. Stone replacements of the viaducts began in 1875 and were finally finished in 1934.
A daily occurance in old Ellicott City is always the awesome sights of these freight trains coming through town.

NS SD70ACe 1065, the S&A heritage unit, leads NS B10 West through East Belshaw, IN, passing some old NYC signals.
A westbound freight train passes an Amtrak special at the Mott-Azalea crossover near Mt. Shasta, California. The Amtrak train had taken a trainload of passengers from Sacramento to the Railroad Days in Dunsmuir. After turning on the wye at Black Butte, it was returning to Dunsmuir to load passengers for the trip back to Sacramento.
Taken on the 12th of April 2026 and used at Blipfoto (now deleted).
The River Thames at Gravesend, falling tide, fresh breeze and bright sun. I can easily spend an hour just watching the river go by, even if nothing is coming up or down. It’s a great place to chat and I’d just enjoyed a passing natter with a former colleague.

GWR Pannier Tank 6412 waits for us to pass in the loop at Staverton. We'd passed this train earlier at the same spot on our way to Totnes Riverside, but with the exception of a few people on board it was running empty. What looked like an observation saloon was on the rear so perhaps it was a private run for someone or something?
The Merchant Navy Locomotive Preservation Society's stunningly preserved and maintained Bulleid Merchant Navy pacific locomotive "Clan Line" takes its rake of Bulleid coaches through the station in the dead of night.

As much as I am out and about I am very fortunate to not have had to deal with anything too tragic. That being said, this morning I saw a man die. I saw the paramedics working on him and call it. The weight of Monday morning is a real thing and some of our souls cannot bear the weight. My best friend died on a Monday morning some years ago. I have seen this man around from time to time and he has problems that often leave him drunk on the streets. I am not even sure why I am sharing this, but I do now that it affected me more than I thought and as hard as I try to put it aside, the thoughts of he and his life keep permeating mine. It makes me think about the fragile life we all have and how it can change so fast, be it with "problems" or not.
I did not take a picture of the scene and I am not the type of photographer who is interested in the subject matter such as this...its too personal for me and lingers for far too long after (although I do have great respect for what others can do that I can not). Saying that, I also did turn and click the shutter once as I passed (not sure why) and this is all there was of it. An impression of the scene. Like the one left on me.
