I received a lovely package of materials and gifts from Dee (Malodora) today.
An electroformed item. No idea what it is, but I like it!
In term 5, the Packaging class was challenged to brand and attract consumers to buy their products off the shelf.

A package "produced exclusively for Boots" . A ridiculously large (375x255x75mm) box that (as it says on the lid) contains the camera and case. {perhaps it also had the battery and a film?}
Ginormous collaborations. Lots of vinyl. He through in some paint markers too!
Also... i forgot to include the mini canvas... next in the stream.

Great to see folks skipping the F icon and simply using the thumbs up.
Makes sense as its a clear call to action. In fact, Facebook changed the Fan action to Like because twice as many people would click Like.
And now we will be seeing similar actions offered on Facebook. It's a move to create more "lightweight user actions" on Facebook and create an environment of frictionless sharing.
It helps their advertising for one. But it also makes it easier to participate on Facebook.
We provide LDPE bags which are Virgin bags. USFDA material anti static bags.Our bags are widely used in API, excipients, pharmaceutical powders, bulk tablets & capsules packaging. These three dancing dames were the premier dancers of their day, in the 1930's and 1940's. They were ladies who had the whole package, beauty, personality, and talent. They were pin-ups for many lonely, homesick black soliders.
So many awesome things in this package: squishy yarns (including my first Primo Fingering from The Plucky Knitter), scrumptious treats, homemade jam and pickling spice, coffee, an Orla Kiely bag and more! Thanks Rachel!
Also, I really miss the note functionality on Flickr.
Even products that are released in small batches can be packaged in good designed package, which is produced by using really high quality materials.

For all the packaging thumbnails (book & box) I am mainly just playing around with type placement and a few design element ideas. So I need help on choosing what sort of layout works best or would be most interesting. I do want to keep things clean and simple as far as type and layout, but when it comes to illustration, that's where I want the eye to go immediately. As far as illustrations, they aren't complete, but I have them going in a certain direction to best fit the logo and the plot of each book.
