This was a custom package for an overseas customer who was sending one of our breast cancer bracelets to a family member here in the states.
She wrote a note in Spanish for me to send along with her gift, I typed it and printed it on pink paper and used pink raffia instead of my usual green. I thought it came out very pretty and I think her grandmother will be so surprised and pleased!
The Smile on Saturday group’s theme for today 4/16 is “funny packaging”. These are two that came up when I did a search for packaging pictures I had taken — since they were already on Flickr, they weren’t really eligible but they’re fun!…… yes, these are little bottles of nail polish probably for putting into an Easter basket and are Flickr colors!!

I'm thinking of going to Ireland for Christmas. My sister and her family live there and some friends. I love the people and the counter . It's so sad to see Ireland being screwed in my opinion by bankers . All the common banking practices got put on the side by greed . Willingness of lending stupid amount of money to everyone. Everyone was told that real estate is the best investment . Buy 200k home and sell next year for 300K or even better 400K and sell for 600K … no way you could loose. Bankers made commissions and bonuses . People borrowed way too much , spend way too much ... but they did stimulate economy.
Now is the time to pay the piper . I said long time ago “We traded our souls in the dollar store”

The 1965 Pontiac GTO is widely considered the car that ignited the golden age of the American muscle car. While the GTO debuted in 1964 as an option package for the Pontiac LeMans, the 1965 model year saw it evolve into its own legendary identity with iconic styling and massive power.
The most striking change for 1965 was the shift from horizontal to vertically stacked twin headlights. This gave the car a more aggressive, forward-leaning appearance that became a signature for Pontiac throughout the late 1960s.
Other key design features included a simulated hood scoop (which could be made functional with a dealer-installed cold air induction kit).
A distinctive "egg-crate" grille.
New "wraparound" taillights that replaced the previous year’s simpler design.
But, while all of that is nice, it'[s what's under the hood that made this an American Powerhouse.
The 1965 GTO featured a 389 cubic-inch V8, but buyers had two primary choices for how that power was delivered. You could choose a Standard 389 which delivered 335 hp but, why? If you're buying a GTO get the "Tri-Power" 389 that cranked the hp up to 360 and shaved another second off the 0-60.
Because, that's what this vehicle is about. Subduing and humiliating wannabes at the stoplight. If they can get to 60 in under 6 seconds they can talk to you. Otherwise, go park at the drive-in.
The "Tri-Power" setup is the holy grail for collectors today. It allowed the car to cruise efficiently on the center carburetor during normal driving, but when you floored the accelerator, the two outer carburetors opened up to provide a massive surge of power.

I had to stop my bike ride when I saw these teeny tiny mushrooms along the sidewalk. The grass was too wet to settle my camera, the sun was too harsh to see the screen and the fire ants were crawling all around ready to bite. I didn't see the little surprise front and center until I got home.

I received a package from my friend Ashley today! I decided to share what she wrote on the box, some words, names, expressions that mean something to each of us.
I can't believe I've known her for more than a year already and that I met her randomly on the internet. And she's coming over in June/July! Can't wait!
BNSF 763 "Fakebonnet" engine (one that looks like the old Santa Fe livery, but uses BNSF lettering) flies eastbound past the Shabbona, IL ex-CB&Q train depot. This is a BNSF high priority train, with the symbol Z-PTLCHC. He'll bring packages and other goods to UPS on a chilly Saturday night with the last vestiges of dusk showing.
My contribution for this weeks theme is the last remains from Christmas. Finally the huge choclatebox is empty!
My package from JPGroove arrived today, I was expecting Isul Motonori Mouri but I had not expecting that he would have such wonderful company! They had mentioned the possibility of sending a doll for me to review along with the Isul but I wasn't expected such wonderful companions <3
I have 10 days to finish everything up..... O.O

What a surprise yesterday at the final of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix!
During the last years I've done a few Christmas ornament swaps and this year I'm in the Life in the Lyons' Christmas Ornament swap, hosted by Amy (http://www.flickr.com/photos/aplcreations). Here's how I packed up my mushroom ornaments for the swap.
I am in the process of rolling out all of my new logo stuff with my packaging. I won't officially roll it out to clients until after the New Year, but I thought I would do a test run with a gift certificate I am giving to Connor's teacher for Christmas.

M&M's in logo colors (each client gets a bag of these, with print orders there is a "Thank You" card attached. - local Wegman's.
Business Cards were printed at Miller's with rounded corners and UV coating. I need to make that brown on the card the same dark brown as the rest of my packaging...I don't like them this way at all.
The gift certificate goes in the envelope and that goes in the box. The box goes in the bag. :) Lots of unwrapping that way!
