I got all of the blocks for Beehive 9 of the 3x6 Mini Bee all packed up and ready for the post office! I used scraps from each block to decorate the packaging.

The Destroyer-Bot is a collaboration between myself and jewelry designer Karin Jacobson. I designed the robot and packaging and she carved the wax master for duplication and set the gemstones. We made only 22 of these and they are available here.

Usually, Apple's packaging is as well designed as the products they contain. However, when I received this box in the mail, I thought that maybe Apple should talk to their logistics partners about choosing appropriately sized shipping packages, as well.

MEMBERS of Lancashire's Youth Council are adding their voices to the calls for the government to bring in plain cigarette packaging.
In April of this year, the government announced that standardised plain packaging for cigarettes is to be introduced in England, after a review of the evidence which found that unbranded packs could cut the number of children starting to smoke.
At the recent Tobacco Free Futures event, three members of Lancashire Youth Council expressed the hope that the government will bring forward the draft regulations needed to make the change.
Shaun Tattersall, 18 from Clayton-le-Moors, Clio Talbot, 17 from Clayton-le-moors and Mwitumwa Mukelabai, 14, from Accrington, attended the event with the support of staff from Lancashire County Council.
Clio Talbot said: "We found that this was a very interesting day that gave an insight into how the tobacco companies influence young adults to smoke. We believe that this is wrong and that plain packaging should be introduced, as it will help decrease the amount of people that start smoking and will improve the population's health.
"Our view is that taking part in this campaign has been very insightful. As we work with Lancashire Public Health as tobacco control champions, we're very keen to further our work into the campaign through Hyndburn Youth Council."
Following the event, Mwitumwa Mukelabai, said: "The tobacco industry are promoting something that shouldn't be promoted through packaging and something needs to change.
"Young people are being targeted in a discreet way and standardised packaging would help make a difference, as it doesn't look as attractive and doesn't sell the lifestyle.
"I looked at some packaging today in pastel colours and I thought it was really attractive. I did think about smoking. I'm not a smoker and I don't think I will ever be, but for that split second I did think about it. That's bad."
Jo McCullagh, Public Health Specialist at the county council, said "Smoking rates among young people in Lancashire remain higher than England as a whole, with one in six (16%) of our 14-17 year olds smoking.
"Children and young people are exposed to a mix of personal, social and environmental influences that serve to normalise the habit and encourage the onset of smoking, despite its addictiveness, expense and adverse consequences.
"Tobacco packaging design remains a mobile promotional tool that advertises brands and advocates smoking to children - every smoker promotes their chosen tobacco brand each time they take a cigarette from a pack."

I make hangtags for each and every product I ship out, which is a little troublesome sometimes because some of my work don't have a loop or something to hang the hangtag on... ^_^. The hangtags are made from brown parcel paper which are cut with decorative scissors, sewn in three sides to make a pocket. I put a namecard inside each hangtag, and then punch a hole at the end. Then comes another Pretty Cloth moo.com sticker and a handwritten message on each. The idea is to rip the hole of each hangtag when you get it and distribute the namecard if you liked what you've got. ^_^
