This is just a close up of the fusilli noodle package that i created. I printed these on a heavy almost cardboard like 11x17 paper and then cut out, folded, and glued/taped it all together. I also used a clear plastic that the amazing Michelle Moor hooked me up with. w00t!
Packaging to hold college work, custom job for Myles Palmer, we worked together on the Wot Gorilla? release through his label Idle Hands Club and came to me wanting a box to hold work for his exhibition. The card is machine cut, handscored then a white piece of card is glued into the base of the box showing white through the braille text.

And now we will be seeing similar actions offered on Facebook. It's a move to create more "lightweight user actions" on Facebook and create an environment of frictionless sharing.
It helps their advertising for one. But it also makes it easier to participate on Facebook.

I was talking to my buddies at Gamestop, and they pointed out this piece of grossness. This packaging is odd and weird. The box is there specifically just to protect a single card, and in addition to this, the card cannot be activated unless it is purchased - so the box and the clamshell plastic behind it serves no anti-theft purposes. The box itself is ugly, and I would not have even noticed it had my gamestop friends pointed it out. Pretty dumb.
Part of a branding project to design a new brand of alkaline batteries for the fictional 'abc electronics' company. My task was to come up with a name, logo, battery design and packaging for the batteries. June 2012
Referring back to the Design Production unit sketches, these are samples from my research and development.
1) Research/Mood boards - This includes looking at various types of packaging for many products, particularly where variations in flavour and the like were included. I then furthered this research by looking specifically at tea related packaging.
2) Typefaces - I then moved onto type and decided to go for a more botanical/medieval/magical potential style for these. The idea was convey the medicinal and health benefits to drinking tea and how it was a more organic and natural way to aid yourself. Overall I went with an apothecary theme; sort of more Victorian era with a dash of fantasy with the likes of potions.
3) Logo Development - Here I mostly went with furthering the old fashioned feel by designing logos that reflected that of vintage bottle labels and adding a floral vibe.
4) Swatches - Some samples of a colour palette I was aiming for. I chose these as they were not only had earthy and natural tones but also warm and flavoursome ones as well.
5) Logo Colouring - I decided to try out each of the colour ranges on the final logo but ultimately settled for white/grey as I wanted my packaging to be the more dominant product feature.
6) Rough Net - This was a rough net for the final packaging style, including likely dimensions based on the contents.

I don't think I'm going to get my eyechip package.. it hasn't moved since the 16th.. :( and it's a 39 dollar package... thing is i'll never know it i just missed it cause my mail man doesn't always knock on the door and in the city people will just steel packages that are left outside doors.... i'm very scared and disappointed..
