I had to reshoot the packaging. I wanted a neutral background. I gravitated toward grey. As usual I had my doubts, until I flipped through DETAILS and saw colorful shirts with grey as the backdrop. I need to stop doubting myself. I'll post my first photo of the packaging. First time using content fill aware. I've had CS5 for almost 6 months and i finally used it. I'm soo slow... It's awesome though no more dealing with cloning.. ok still have to use it but less.
Molly and Jen helped package meals for Kids Against Hunger as part of the day of service. Molly’s job was to measure and pour the mixed vegetables. Our church packaged a total of 15,606 meals for those in need in the DC Metro area.

A suspicious package was reported outside 725 Commonwealth Ave, a building on the Boston University campus, at approximately 4:45 pm on April 16, the day after the Boston Marathon was hit by explosions that killed three and injured over 100.
By 5 pm, bomb-sniffing dogs had swept the area, nothing was found, and the area was given the all-clear.
For this is a project I had to design graphics for an olive oil company based out of Georgia. My group had to develop the packaging and graphics. We selected a square glass bottle and I developed the graphics.
I used an oak tree (because its Georgia's state tree) that wraps around the bottle. The idea is to make it flow around the bottle. I used the company's logo and brand colors. The gray section is the front panel of the bottle.

This was the HARDEST thing I've ever shot for in a contest. "Homecoming week", for a school that I don't even go to! Not to mention it was the weekend and we only had about 30 hours to shoot for. But I would trade almost anything to go back. ATPI was so far the highlight of my year, and it kills me to know that I won't be going back next year (unless I end up teaching a class or something). I loved making new friends, and joking with old ones.

So now I have to send them out tomorrow, I made every address blurry in Photoshop since nobody wants their address online of course. (The address behind Kat's leg is mine btw)

This week I received a lot of packages. Most of them were either textbooks or something school related. I really like getting things in the mail. Theres a little excitement you get when you see the thing you just bought and you get to open the packaging, even if it is just a textbook. Plus there's those few days of waiting to see when your package comes, adding to the excitement. Getting packages is not a huge part of my life by any means, but I find it important. It can be that small thing that can change a day.
I found out that my school offered Adobe Lightroom 4 for free, so today was my first day playing with it again. I haven't used Lightroom in a few years, and I wish I had some more time to relearn everything today, but I will have to save that for later.
