Most of Greater Manchester PTE's buses pre-dereg were scrapped when their days were up, though a few did see further use. The West area's vehicles seemed to fare better, presumably sold on through Lister, the Bolton based dealer.
Of the twenty former London DMS's, a few saw further use with new operators, Stevensons of Uttoxeter taking at least three. This one was the former 2331, the only one with an 'M' registration and was allocated to Swinton depot until retirement in 1984.
Stevensons purchased 2331, who operated the bus for three months before selling it on to Astill and Jordan of Ratby, as seen here. Stevensons re-purchased the bus in May 1986 and it remained here until withdrawal and scrapping in late 1989.

Shipwreck of the Point Estero. The Point Estero ran aground on July 28, 2017 as a result from operator error while returning from a slimy eel fishing trip. The boat was stripped of any possible pollutants but it's skeletal hull remains on the rocks.
