this shows a glitch with the current tracker where the blobs get combined
Unfortunately there is no documentation on this project. So in a few words ...
3D Scenes can be loaded in the application and animated in realtime. The content was projected on long layers of transparent material in an old beer brewery in Vienna.
This is my first collaboration with Yannick Jacquet (Antivj / Legoman).

These portraits were made by decoding sound into images. Webcam imagery was sent in the form of sound from another laptop. Glitches and artifacts are the result of the sound being deformed by the space and environmental sounds.
Sound images is a collaboration project with Jasper van Loenen, Bart van Haren & Sander Sturing

When a person comes in front of the camera, a picture of her/his face is taken.
This picture is then used to replace all the tracked spermatozoa.
Made with openFrameworks.

project 3d points to screen, use points index divided by number of points as HSB color, build voronoi diagram.
I hooked this up a while back to test controlling the servos and a fan at the same time from different power sources, at the moment you click to select which virtual servo it should mimic.
The next step is to build a mount for the new motor I have and attach it to the servo.
Once that's done and I'm relatively sure I have the components locked down it's time to order more servos and motors.

Working on a commercial project involving hacked robot control, tracking and path following for an ad' shooting scheduled for september in Milan. So far simulation works as expected, to be tested in real conditions in 2 weeks :)
This is how I see Machine To Keep A Feather In The Air working (if it works at all). The simulation is not that accurate of course, and there is a lot more code that needs to go into it still, the outer fans should do more to keep the balloon in the middle for instance.
The idea is that the "balloon" here will later be replaced by a vision system that tracks the object in real life and passes the information along to the simulation, some of the same rules should apply with tuning that system, such as for instance "don't blow on the object if it is moving upwards" and "ignore the object unless it is below a certain height".
Also, I'll be wanting to use as few (pan/tilt servo pairs + fan) as possible, 5 seems like a good number.

Ciopprine is an exploration of color in virtual space. As algorithmically generated forms slowly float through space, they reveal the colors of the world they inhabit. Adapted from the names of multiple colors, the title of the work reflects the dynamic and complex gradients produced through this compositional approach. This work was made using openFrameworks and is presented as an 8 minute long seamless looping video.
Ciopprine is available on the FRAMED* device:

Prefalll 135 is an interactive audio-visual installation.
It uses the energy of falling water to make watermils rotate and produce sound and graphics.
By opening and closing the taps, the user is controlling the water circuit and defining the parameters of the audiovisual system

Collaboration of Charles Martin and Chi-Hsia (Lisa) Lai. We're producing a new percussion / computer duet using computer vision technology, Supercollider and Open Frameworks. Sounds like fun right?
