Antigono is an opera i worked with António Jorge Gonçalves in creating and controlling graphical compositions and animations based on baroque imagery that where projected around the stage.

Produced and exhibited at Centro Cultural de Belém.

So I started on this from scratch, my rotational limitations were not working when shoehorned into the otherwise excellent and way over my head example that I had downloaded.

This first version doesn't work particularly well at the moment, it twitches and at times it's obvious it hasn't found a solution that is possible, but at least I understand all the code and can continue to improve it.

Also, that feeling of finally connecting the bits together and seeing what you've been setting up for a day or so finally work, that's something else.

During the week, the OpenFrameworks core development team is encamped at the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry to advance the next version of OpenFrameworks, a toolkit for new media education and creative coding. Each evening at 5pm, we will feature three or four short presentations by members of this team.

Presenters/Participants Include:

Zachary Lieberman / Theodore Watson / Arturo Castro / Mehmet Akten / Todd Vanderlin / Anton Marini / Damian Stewart / Kyle McDonald / Keith Pasko / Diederick Huijbers / Daito Manabe / Dan Wilcox / Jonathan Brodsky / Zach Gage

I set up a particle system with the contours of the letters as attractors and then played with transparency, accumulation, blending modes and other parameters.

...and I think I'm almost getting the hang of it. With a little luck and a few more hours I'm hoping to get this to control the stupid JavaScript game I made a while back... the kids will freak out.

Thanks, openframeworks and ofxkinect people. Nice job setting this all up.

Prefalll 135 is an interactive audio-visual installation.

It uses the energy of falling water to make watermils rotate and produce sound and graphics.

By opening and closing the taps, the user is controlling the water circuit and defining the parameters of the audiovisual system

The three artworks are Masks from Joel Gethin Lewis, which augments and adds to captured video of a viewer, using generative Baroque art inspired masks. Delicate Boundaries from Chris Sugrue which imagines a space in which the worlds inside our digital devices can move into the physical world. Small bugs made of light, crawl out of the computer screen onto the human bodies that make contact with them. Body Paint from Mehmet (Memo) Atken which explores how whole bodies can be used as brushes with which to paint a virtual canvas, using camera and projection technology.
