great turn out and great bunch of people.

Augmented Shadow, by Joon Moon, 2010. used openframeworks. It's a tabletop interface on where artificial shadows of tangible objects displayed. You can play with the shadows lying on the boundary between the real, virtual, and fantasy.

Worked with O Cubo in creating an interactive floor for GNR (the portuguese national guard) as part of the celebrations for the centenary of the portuguese republic.

It allowed the visitors to look through several historical archive images.

The exhibition ran for 3 weeks during April at GNR's headquarters in Largo do Carmo, Lisbon.

It was created in C++ using OpenFrameworks with OpenCV and OpenGL

In association with the first international OpenFrameworks World-Wide Developers Meeting, some of the world’s leading computational artist/developers will discuss their pioneering work at the intersection of arts and computer science.

During the week, the OpenFrameworks core development team is encamped at the STUDIO for Creative Inquiry to advance the next version of OpenFrameworks, a toolkit for new media education and creative coding. Each evening at 5pm, we will feature three or four short presentations by members of this team.

Presenters/Participants Include:

Zachary Lieberman / Theodore Watson / Arturo Castro / Mehmet Akten / Todd Vanderlin / Anton Marini / Damian Stewart / Kyle McDonald / Keith Pasko / Diederick Huijbers / Daito Manabe / Dan Wilcox / Jonathan Brodsky / Zach Gage

I set up a particle system with the contours of the letters as attractors and then played with transparency, accumulation, blending modes and other parameters.

Using the iterative chord enumeration/gray code/shuffle combination, now visualized in realtime via OF with a ported BigInteger class. Next: sort the columns to find out how much disorder there "really" is -- or if the bit ordering is just cleverly obfuscating things.

These sketches are part of my masters thesis, and all the source is available on Google Code: code.google.com/p/oelf/

Another fun experiment made by Oriol.

We took our 'Flutter' workshop to the Action Factory in Blackburn for their Community Open Day, 16th February 2011. Special thanks to Lucy Ann Jones for inviting us, it was a fantastic day!

Flutter is a participatory art project created by Tom Betts (nullpointer) which allows children from a very early age to take part in creating a digital art installation. Each child makes a butterfly, using everyday craft materials, which is then brought to life in a video projected 3D world.

Flutter uses real-time computer graphics software developed in openFrameworks.
