Another Place, Crosby.

The famous Iron Men are now showing the effects of boldly facing the Irish Sea for over fifteen years now.

The light was my main reason for stopping, changing my shoes and "sploshing" along the delightfully wet sand, taking in the fresh cool air. Covid seemed like a million miles away for an hour or so.

What a tonic that would be.. heres hoping!

(For those of you who know your 80s music) at least we didn't get knocked out by Matt Bianco!

Another one from the other evening without the long exposure filters.

Have a great Sunday x

Despite I come quite frequent to this location nearby my home, I especially like to visit when the lake is frozen and we have such magical wintry conditions like this morning in early January, 2020. This shot consists of a fourteen vertical exposures. Nevertheless, the stitched panoramic result was quite hard to crop, as I wanted to show the nice structure of the big poplar tree on the left, as well as the fallen tree on the right. That's why I came around with the very wide format at the end.

Another seascape image I took while at Chalky Beach, NSW; Australia a couple of weeks ago during a sunrise session.

I liked the darkened sky contrasting against the white water that was moving around the shallows here - hope you do too!!

Have a terrific day and weekend!!!

Got tired of sewing and had to play with these Grape Hyacinth (Muscari armeniacum) from my yard. (I may have OVER-played a bit!!!)

Kleifarvatn is located in the centre of the Reykjanes Peninsula, near the Krýsuvík and Gunnhver geothermal areas. This region is renowned for its geothermal and geological activity; the landscape is covered in a thick layer of lava, which itself is topped by a haunting moss, and hot springs steam in many areas. A row of active volcanoes run along its length. The peninsula, and Kleifarvatn itself, lies on the fissure zone of the Mid-Atlantic ridge, between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

Here in the Isle of Man the weather can be rather changeable and it can change from bright sunlight to overcast and moody quite quickly. Here the low clouds are coming in from the sea bringing rain for later.

Moody, supermoon 3/21. The last supermoon of 2019. I was trying to add a little interest with the moving clouds and oak branches. They sort of rolled in out of nowhere and I really liked the way the reflected light made them sort of glow.

A view from our balcony in Selva Val Gardena. The Dolomites truly is a special place with amazing views in every direction.

The track that continues up the Balquhidder glen* beyond the farm at Inverlochlarig.

*This glen is nameless on maps, despite several of its minor side valleys being named. It must be one of the most substantial valleys in the Highlands not to have a name, though the fact that the river flowing through it is called the River Larig suggests it may have originally been Lairig something rather than Glen something.

Th sky was so moody but the light was still good on the waves showing off a mix of sand and aqua water
