Even the golden leaves of this lovely tree captured at Lanercost Priory in Northumberland, UK several years ago cannot lighten the sadness that I feel today at the news that my favorite nephew has cancer.

I love how fog alters the world by softening the sharp edges and creating a new world of mystery.

It was a lovely warm evening and perfect for a walk on the beach, a cool change came in but hardly any rain.
Many thanks for your visits, kind comments and faves, very much appreciated.
A view looking up the Lake Louise outlet channel at the lake and the moody skies above on a chilly October day. With beauty like this a person barely notices the cold.
Another shot from this wonderful morning in comments.
Safe travels for those on the move for the Holidays!
Haystack Rock and Cannon Beach shot from Crescent Beach in Oregon. Framed by the bird rock haystacks.
I am posting this because I like how the water ripple caught along the lily, with the light sparkling, however it was a very long ways away, wind moving it and therefore grainy, so my apologies.
Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead filled with sunshine!
Thank you all again so much for your support and visit!
After it has snowed for two days, this morning was magically beautiful. Beautiful light and still a bit of fog.

I ended up at Bodiam Castle in East Sussex, wind swept, poor light and wet, all i can say is my aim was moody!!!
Bodiam Castle is a 14th-century moated castle near Robertsbridge in East Sussex, England. It was built in 1385 by Sir Edward Dalyngrigge, a former knight of Edward III, with the permission of Richard II, ostensibly to defend the area against French invasion during the Hundred Years' War.
So nice it is to hike in the fog on an early morning, so depressing is to see that - because of dryness and bark beetle - huge areas of the forest have to be picked up. That's so scary like the mood in the picture.
