My scooter came with a neat digital gauge system which included a thermometer. This is a ridiculous idea in my opinion for several reasons. First, it is widely inaccurate, especially when it is hot, but then again I ride it quite a bit more when it is hot than when it is cold, and it isn't that cold that often here in California. Second, it's on a damned scooter! If it's hot outside, I already know it! If it's cold outside, I already know it! It's not like I am sealed in a car with no particular reference to the outside temperature!
I have always felt that it would have been much better to install an electronic compass in it's place. I think this would be much more useful information, on a much more regular basis, since the thermometer is useful once per ride, maybe.
:) So now my scooter has a compass! I am happy. :p

Built between 1867 and 1902, with later modifications in the mid-20th Century, this Gothic Revival-style Episcopal Cathedral was designed by William Slater and Richard Carpenter to function as the primary church for Episcopal Diocese of Hawaii. The building features a rusticated sandstone block exterior, gothic arched windows and doorways, smooth-faced stone trim, buttresses, a bell tower with gothic arched vents and four pillars, with one pillar being taller than the others, completed in 1912, a sanctuary with a high central nave and lower aisles, a semi-circular apse, a modernist front narthex with a large stained glass curtain wall, added in 1958 and designed by architect John Wallis. Next to the church stands Davies Hall, designed by B. F. Ingelow, which houses a vestry and meeting rooms and is connected to the sanctuary via a cloister with stone columns and gothic arches, as well as a semi-circular bay window facing Queen Emma street and a timber-frame front porch. On the other side of the sanctuary is the Tenney Auditorium and Parke Memorial Chapel, which are clad in stucco and were built in 1940 under the direction of C. W. Dickey, featuring a gabled and hipped slate roof, gothic arched windows, buttresses, and lanais with stone columns and gothic arches. Behind the church is a series of buildings mostly built during the 20th Century that house St. Andrew's Schools, private Episcopal Schools which are affiliated with the church, and vary in style from Gothic Revival to modern and postmodern. The cathedral is a contributing structure in the Hawaii Capital Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

An old bottle that used to contain cat medicine. I picked it because I liked the cobalt blue color and that it was slightly translucent.
This was the other bitchy part.
I used 1" clear pine boards (which are actually 3/4" thick) for the exterior of this, and a 2x3 for the core of it. I placed the 2x3 by holding a door flush with the front edge of the frame, then putting a 1" board behind it, then putting the 2x3 against it. I then used sheetrock screws to secure the 2x3 to the existing frame.
I used finishing nails to attach the 1x2 plank to the door side of it, then the same nails to attach the 1x4 to the face, and another 1x2 to the side in this view. I then attached a strip of shoe moulding to fill in the gap, as the 1x2 stuck out about 1/2" below the 1x4.
Finally, to ensure that it didn't go anywhere, I got some 2" brass screws and put them through the 1x4. I spaced them evenly to look nice- 10" from the top, 20" between the screws, leaving 10" at the bottom. Yes, I'm that anal retentive.

Here's the board with the new LED, the modification is amazingly easy. The only thing that came us is that the heatsink on the original LED was thinner than the new LED heatsink, so the original optic holder would no longer fit over the new LED. I ended up just using some electrical tape to hold the optic in place. Once the board is put back into the casing, it is held in place by pressure.
Be careful pulling the module out of the casing - I read that you can just pull it out, and snapped one of the little blue legs that are used for aligning the module with the front casing (you can see the blue leg on the right side of the PCB). The right way to do it seems to be to look at the back of the battery compartment and push out the blue pegs from the outside to cleanly separate the module from the casing.
To create this picture I rubbed baby oil on the lens of my camera. When doing this, I thought of microbiology and how when you use an oil lens, you get better clarification. I wondered if this would happen the same way on my Holga. It turns out that it did not clarify the picture; it turned out somewhat "antique" looking. The color is faded and there isn't much contrast, but I love the feel that the picture gives off.

There are two power wires running to the sunroof.
A 25 amp always on circuit , and a 15 amp circuit that powers the sunroof (and the dash power outlet)
The goal is to re-route the switched circuit so that it can work off the always on circuit.
