We have had this "announcement stone" for many years. We moved it when we moved to this place a year ago. Soon thereafter, one cat died and,during the winter, a truck went over the stone and smashed it into 6 pieces.
Let's hear it for Gorilla glue!! (highly recommended!) I washed that sucker off and, lo and behold, put it back together with the help of the Gorilla! Then, using White-out, I modified the message to more accurately reflect the numer of cats on the premises.
(Yes, we are still in the Daffodil phase of Spring!)

This picture of the back of a semi truck was taken with a Holga that had a clear piece of saran wrap held tightly over the lens. This modification obvioulsy effected the color and brightness of the shot.
Rock Mite 40: setting up the NB6M VXO modification.
I grabbed a hunk of scrap wood and scrap aluminum and laid it all out.
Modified the wings by simplifying the plates. Nice part is that everything is better supported, though keeping the outer 1x2x2 slopes attached is impossible to make foolproof. From an aesthetic point of view, it's nice to have all the bricks lined up instead of offset as they'd have to be if the wing cannons were further out in its original location.

Healing up fairly nicely. I keep forgetting to put cream on it overnight but it doesn't seem to be affecting it adversely. :)
Currently has some flaky bits that I'm just DYING to pick off!

Modification (rebrick) of Lego set 40487 "Sailboat adventure" with
- changed colors
- rolled up sail
- simplified bow, rudder
We initially replaced the speaker with a bulb which worked quite well showing signal power as varying brightness, but with the speaker in we found the bulb lit in absence of music or even radio circuit connected. looking on the oscilloscope we found a 450kHz signal and lots of harmonics. I wonder if it's from switching supplies in the house perhaps with the speaker coil resonating. The "speaker" has added circuitry, presumably to protect it from damage.
It's hard to add in bypass capacitors and filters on that circuit board with limited space. The passive components take two units of space and must be aligned horizontally or vertically.
