We’ve become so accustomed to foreclosures on underwater homes that we forget that’s not how it used to be. Foreclosures have always been part of the system, and prior to the housing bust, foreclosures happened to people who had equity in their properties. Foreclosures happen because... at Man refuses to sell house he couldn't afford, complains about foreclosure

I changed around the seats, added handle bars, tiled the floor, and added controls.

... then goes straight up and then 45 degrees into the inlet on the thermostat housing.

To create this picture I rubbed baby oil on the lens of my camera. When doing this, I thought of microbiology and how when you use an oil lens, you get better clarification. I wondered if this would happen the same way on my Holga. It turns out that it did not clarify the picture; it turned out somewhat "antique" looking. The color is faded and there isn't much contrast, but I love the feel that the picture gives off.

For today’s Transformation Tuesday, we'll take a closer look at our "Project Proton" Isuzu VehiCROSS. In order to install each side's twin Diamond Audio Hex Series tweeters, we modified the original A-pillar covers (using a combination of epoxy resin and polyester mesh) and painted them to match the truck’s exterior. We also fabricated brand new door panels (comprised of medium-density fiberboard, body filler, and fiberglass) to house a pair of Diamond Audio Hex Speakers, on each side. And of course, to reduce annoying rattles and ensure optimal sound quality, we completely wrapped the doors in Dynamat.

My scooter came with a neat digital gauge system which included a thermometer. This is a ridiculous idea in my opinion for several reasons. First, it is widely inaccurate, especially when it is hot, but then again I ride it quite a bit more when it is hot than when it is cold, and it isn't that cold that often here in California. Second, it's on a damned scooter! If it's hot outside, I already know it! If it's cold outside, I already know it! It's not like I am sealed in a car with no particular reference to the outside temperature!

I have always felt that it would have been much better to install an electronic compass in it's place. I think this would be much more useful information, on a much more regular basis, since the thermometer is useful once per ride, maybe.

:) So now my scooter has a compass! I am happy. :p

This was also 3 bucks at the automotive store.

Feb 26: Dug out a clamping vee block and jigged up the tubes to weld them together as precisely as possible. That and a few magnets and they went together easy peasy. Note the mounting plate in the foreground. As I'd fully welded the tube to it before, I finally bit the bullet and bought a 4 in. angle grinder to make the cut as painless as possible. Wish I'd bought one ages ago!

I ground away the doser lip, but I'm still not finished.

Not suprising to see a car with this many cosmetic modifications outside pepboys

this photo has been pp with perspective "correction" so that the first flower appears bigger than the second. in orignal photo the two flowers were the same size. This is an excersise of changing perspective.
