This is a photograph from the Father Murphy AC 5 Mile Road Race, Fun Run, and Walk was held in Kildalkey, Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland on Easter Sunday 20th April at 12 noon.

This is the fourth successive year when the race has been staged in Kildalkey with races previous to 2011 held in the neighbouring parish village of Ballivor. The routing is a modification on the two previous years. This race combined an open 5 mile race and the annual Meath 5 mile road race championship.

The weather was almost perfect, if a little breezy, for almost 200 runners, joggers, and walkers participating in the event. There were some great post-race refreshments available for competitors in the Kildalkey Community Center afterwards. Well done to everyone involved - from the members of Fr. Murphy AC, to the neighbouring clubs in Co. Meath - all of whom helped to continue to fine tradition that this race has built up over the past number of years. Fr. Murphy AC was formed in 1970 from the amalgamation of several smaller local clubs and now offers some very fine facilities to the people of this part of Co. Meath.

This photograph is part of a larger set taken mostly at the 1 mile mark and at about 1 mile to go in the race. The full set is available at: [https://www.flickr.com/photos/peterm7/sets/72157644175251925/]

We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs

We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?

The explaination is very simple.

Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.

ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.

Your mobile, tablet, or desktop device will also offer you several different options for sharing this photo page on your social media outlets.

We take these photographs as a hobby and as a contribution to the running community in Ireland. Our only "cost" is our request that if you are using these images: (1) on social media sites such as Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter,LinkedIn, Google+, etc or (2) other websites, blogs, web multimedia, commercial/promotional material that you must provide a link back to our Flickr page to attribute us.

This also extends the use of these images for Facebook profile pictures. In these cases please make a separate wall or blog post with a link to our Flickr page. If you do not know how this should be done for Facebook or other social media please email us and we will be happy to help suggest how to link to us.

How can I download these pictures to my computer or device?

You can download the photographic image here direct to your computer or device. This version is the low resolution web-quality image. How to download will vary slight from device to device and from browser to browser. However - look for a symbol with three dots 'ooo' or the link to 'View/Download' all sizes. When you click on either of these you will be presented with the option to download the image. Remember just doing a right-click and "save target as" will not work on Flickr.

How can I get full resolution, print-quality, copies of these photographs?

I would like to contribute something for your photograph(s)?

Many people offer payment for our photographs. As stated above we do not charge for these photographs. We take these photographs as our contribution to the running community in Ireland. If you feel that the photograph(s) you request are good enough that you would consider paying for their purchase from other photographic providers or in other circumstances we would suggest that you can provide a donation to any of the great charities in Ireland who do work for Cancer Care or Cancer Research in Ireland.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:

►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set

►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

Don't like your photograph here?

That's OK! We understand!

If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.

I want to tell people about these great photographs!

This modification on the Slink has a zippered front which makes it a more versatile laying piece. Note the use of handpaint yarn worked sideways is so much more flattering that when knit on the straight.

From first glance I knew I wanted to get this. But the gap on the canopy was unacceptable! The other mods were just my preference. Plus I added a crew.

S.E.V. Marchal distributor. Citroen GS X2.

Modification to make adjustment of points simpler.

Cassette points are not set by gap, but by dwell angle. On early versions of the SEV Marchal distributor, adjustment was by removal of cap (and sometimes body, given its location) and to turn the thumbscrew a by clicks in either direction depending on dwell angle required. Later versions had a hole in the body in which a 3mm allen key was inserted making cap removal unnecessary.

Hole drilled to 3.5mm. Allen key slides in.

Extension on the side is very stable and prevents accidental operation of the right side buttons. The extension also makes the camera feel bigger and more comfortable during pod or handheld operation. Discussion at www.flickr.com/groups/2082775@N20/discuss/72157635072289891/

Use magnet to store chuck key.

These magnets were taken out of an abandoned hard drive which, like most things i deal with, was found on the streets for free.

With the fluorescent dot lit up, you can see that the light is actually on and working. (btw, the power light (red) is showing that the batteries are low)

You can do this yourself...

All you need is:

Headlight

1/16" Drill Bit

Hand Drill

1/16" Blue or Green Fluorescent Rod (available at hobby shops)

Hobby Knife

Emery Board

Clear Blue or Green Hobby Paint

Carefully drill a 1/16" hole in the shroud of the light in front of the lens.

Using the hobby knife, cut the fluorescent rod at a sharp angle (resembling a hypodermic needle).

Press the rod into the hole, from the top of the light until it extends past the end of the cut (if it's too loose, a drop of CA glue can set it into place).

Cut the rod about 3/16" above the top of the light. Clean up the cut with the emery board, then firmly press the rod flush with the top of the light using a hard flat surface. lastly, trim off the extra from the inside of the shroud. If you like, a drop of clear blue or green hobby paint can improve the color of the light.

With a simple glance, you can now tell if the light is on, or off, flashing or steady, even if you can't see the beam due to dark/wet conditions.

The tie is supposed to be single layer with the edges hemmed; I folded it in half and sewed down the side to make it narrower.

The general trend for quickly solving the problem with the intake elbow is to cut off the flexible part and install it back to front. this solves the clearance issue but now it has to point down as the TPS connector is in the way if you point it to the back of the car. The rocker cover breather pipe easily connects to the first of the two holes but the connection to the ICV is too short so I'll lengthen that hose with some 22mm copper pipe.

Where to put the MAF and the cone air filter will be a challenge too. lots of people either go down and through to the passenger footwell or take a feed from above the rad. My plan is to pop the whole lot down in the area that the alternator originally went leaving the rear of the engine bay for fuel and coolant stuff

Tragus done on 02/24/09. I love it. It didn't hurt at all; just felt like my ear was getting prodded with something hot.

I made her look down as far as she could. She appears to be rather shocked.

This is a modification based on the tutorial by Sheryl Designs. I adjusted it to use with mech globes so my dolls can still have changeable chips.

| ‘Tattooing and body piercing are flourishing, and the new innovations of branding and scarification continue to develop. Even more evident is the advent of cosmetic tattooing, advertised boldly in the newspapers and phone books as permanent makeup for a beautiful personal investment. While no national databases are available to provide an accurate picture of body art recipients, findings from several small, recent studies are consistent. They include published rates of 19 to 23 percent for tattooing among young adults 18 to 25 years of age and rates of 33 percent for body piercing. A recent Ohio University poll found that about one of every seven adults was tattooed, with young adults (18 to 34 years of age) 10 times more likely to have the decorative designs.

Another way to look at the presence of body art is to examine the number of studios in a state; the figures then become phenomenal. In Texas, with a population of 21 million people, almost 900 tattooing studios were registered in the state as of January 2004, with over half that number listed as beauty salons or spas performing cosmetic tattooing. Of the 599 body-piercing studios registered in Texas, approximately 300 combine both tattooing and body piercing. If one estimated that body-piercing studios average five piercings weekly, then over 155,000 yearly would be produced in just one state; the number of tattoos would be over 234,000. Body art is an invasive procedure: For body piercing, jewelry is inserted into a tract; for tattooing, non-FDA-approved pigment is introduced into the skin by multiple punctures to produce indelible designs; and for permanent cosmetics, pigment is inserted into the eyelids, eyebrows, and lips. Branding is a specific method of scarification resulting in a deliberate keloid formation. In each procedure, there is a release of serosanguinous fluid “accompanying the repetitive puncturing of tattooing, the puncture wounds of body piercing, and the application of heated steel,” predisposing the patron to local infections and systemic illness such as bloodborne diseases.

The public may assume that state regulations exist for body art, with regular inspections protecting the client, and that if there are problems with a studio, the state will automatically close it. Often it is not until a body art complication occurs and is reported to state health officials that the public begins to realize just how strong or weak these statutes can be for client safety. In reality, it may take over two years for the due-process procedures to work before a studio is shut down, if it even happens… | full article

I have fitted all 12 clamps with pine, waxed them and improved the screw thread by lightly removing the paint, now they feel very solid and it didn't cost a fortune, I used 2x1 pine and cut the pieces to a tight fit.
