A modification was made to the CP Binghamton Yard sign following recent public press releases from both Canadian Pacific Railway and Norfolk Southern Railway announcing the pending sale of the lower end of the Delaware & Hudson Railroad.
The sale of the railroad from Sunbury, PA to Schenectady, NY is still pending approval by the Surface Transportation Board.

Wire one up in line just next to the terminal for the battery, there is plenty of room for that.

I got it when I was 18. Someone on the bus thought it was a nazi KKK tattoo. I'm not sxe anymore although you wouldn't know it since I'm no party girl.
I inverted the pleat, edge stitched the inverted pleat, made a mock placket to make sure the pleat stayed put, and added MOP buttons that are 1/2" from the edge of the placket and 1 1/4" apart. I made a Size 8, fabric is Trick or Treat Street by Sheri Berry. I think I want one for each day of the week!
This is a 53mm pf basket fitted to an Aeropress. I still haven't tested it. Why did I do this, 'cause I could, no other reason so far.
Two words, I got bored... oh wait that's three. Oh well, so I decided to carve away on serenity's face yesterday, it's looking good so far, but I still have the right side to do. I got sick of how simple and ordinary her bone structure looked. I mean really? Why was her nose so pointy and her cheeks so formless in the first place? IDK... but yeah, this is the most fun mod I've done yet :)
Cedrenn has a new face and I'm much more happy with it! I felt with the last faceup I'd been a bit too timid, giving him a more prince charming vibe. But this one's seen more, he's been Mr. Nice Guy and he's experienced the other side too, his face should reflect that.

This is a photograph from the 1st round of the 2015 Mullingar Road League which was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 6th May 2015 at 20:00. This year the 5KM was ran on a modified route based on the route from the last couple of years. Tonight the final 1KM stayed within the Belvedere Gardens bringing runners down to the lakeside for a second time and finishing along the aptly named Stream Of Life. The route modification meant that the race offered a slightly faster route than the hill finish of previous years.
The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. Competitors need to run 3 races out of the 4 races in May (any order) to be considered in the overall placing in categories at the conclusion of the league. Over 350 people took part in tonight's event. The weather was perfect for running with sunshine with just a little breeze. The new finish area provided a nice space for runners to stay around and chat in the evening sunshine. The Mullingar Road League 2015 has started off successfully and looks to add to the success in the history of this great series.
The "Road League" is something of a misnomer but is an indication of the League's origins on the roads around Ladestown Mullingar prior to it's move into Belvedere in 2008. The Road League is the envy of many other races in the country as the Belvedere locations offers a completely traffic free 5KM route.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. The newer modifications are not that noticeable, but I want your input on how the cab door i came up with looks on the model. I'm refining the parts by picking the best priced parts. I did try to add a bit of detail to the back of the cab interior based on the photos from the Ditcot Railway. I'm really proud of how this model has come together. I think its about time I actually build the thing. The next process I will start on, is the long grueling task of instructions so that I can put it on Rebrickable. Please leave any comments or concerns I would love to hear them.

I clamped a small steel strip at an angle onto the wheel rest, which ensured that each of the three knives would be ground at the identical angle. I then ground each side, to left and right of the existing semicircular profile.

At Lego shows in 2024, my Castle class would occasionally derail when there was a kink in the track, particularly when entering corners.
I put this down to the chassis setup I'd chosen, based on Carl Greatrix's previous Castle model, whereby the rear bogie wheels were fixed to the main chassis. In some cases, it seemed these wheels were getting raised off the track by the driving wheels behind.
I've now re-worked the chassis to have a more conventional pivoted bogie. There is still only 1 set of flanged drivers, to allow the bogie to not crash sideways into the cylinders. However now the bogie is on a single pivot, positioned above the rear bogie wheels.
This should help to 'steer' the loco into corners, and the little shoulder on the pin piece also helps to keep the weight on the bogie wheels.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engined, single-seat, all-metal fighter-bomber that first flew in 1938. The P-40 design was a modification of the previous Curtiss P-36 Hawk which reduced development time and enabled a rapid entry into production and operational service. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in frontline service until the end of the war. It was the third most-produced American fighter of World War II, after the P-51 and P-47; by November 1944, when production of the P-40 ceased, 13,738 had been built, all at Curtiss-Wright Corporation's main production facilities in Buffalo, New York.
P-40 Warhawk was the name the United States Army Air Corps gave the plane, and after June 1941, the USAAF adopted the name for all models, making it the official name in the U.S. for all P-40s. The British Commonwealth and Soviet air forces used the name Tomahawk for models equivalent to the original P-40, P-40B, and P-40C, and the name Kittyhawk for models equivalent to the P-40D and all later variants. P-40s first saw combat with the British Commonwealth squadrons of the Desert Air Force in the Middle East and North African campaigns, during June 1941. No. 112 Squadron Royal Air Force, was among the first to operate Tomahawks in North Africa and the unit was the first Allied military aviation unit to feature the "shark mouth" logo, copying similar markings on some Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Bf 110 twin-engine fighters.
The P-40's liquid-cooled, supercharged Allison V-1710 V-12 engine's lack of a two-speed supercharger made it inferior to Luftwaffe fighters such as the Messerschmitt Bf 109 or the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in high-altitude combat and it was rarely used in operations in Northwest Europe. However, between 1941 and 1944, the P-40 played a critical role with Allied air forces in three major theaters: North Africa, the Southwest Pacific, and China. It also had a significant role in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, Alaska and Italy. The P-40's performance at high altitudes was not as important in those theaters, where it served as an air superiority fighter, bomber escort and fighter-bomber.
Although it gained a postwar reputation as a mediocre design, suitable only for close air support, more recent research including scrutiny of the records of Allied squadrons indicates that this was not the case; the P-40 performed surprisingly well as an air superiority fighter, at times suffering severe losses, but also inflicting a very heavy toll on enemy aircraft. Based on war-time victory claims, over 200 Allied fighter pilots – from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, the US and the Soviet Union – became aces flying the P-40. These included at least 20 double aces, mostly over North Africa, China, Burma and India, the South West Pacific and Eastern Europe. The P-40 offered the additional advantages of low cost and durability, which kept it in production as a ground-attack aircraft long after it was obsolescent as a fighter.

Since modern manufactured kayaks usually have seats for an average oversized butt, I had to modify my seat to get a positive centered location.
To do that, I've got a sheet of 12mm high-density EVA foam, cut and shaped two symmetrical pads out of it and glued them to the seat using a rubber cement glue.
This is a wonderful material that gives you really great fine suede texture when sanded with a coarse grit abrasive. However, it is a bit tricky to work with due to its density. Unlike lighter foams, this HD doesn't want to keep a new shape when bent, so you need a lot of creative clamping for gluing it to a curved surface.
Some sources recommend 3M 77 spray adhesive for it, but this is totally wrong for any outdoor equipment - it softens when heated by the sunlight and everything will fall apart. Therefore, either Barge cement or any other rubber cement glue must be used.
Staff recommends adopting consistent state regulations for Atlantic reef fish and using the process of adopting federal standards under Chapter 120.54(6), Florida Statutes. The proposed rule amendment would allow captain and crew of for-hire vessels to keep recreational bag limits of vermilion snapper, groupers, and golden tilefish in state waters of the Atlantic. Staff also recommends making a technical change to a federal rule reference in this rule. If the Commission approves the proposed rule amendment, it would be advertised and then filed without further public hearing and become effective as soon as possible.
Staff has evaluated the rules under the standards of 68-1.004, FAC, and found them to be in compliance.
