One of two images depicting NCOs from different formations being instructed in the use of light grenade and mine launchers, in this case, the Model 16 Granatwerfer.
In addition to the excellent interior view of the ammunition box, two different types of signal flare are on display, one standing upright on the base-plate, the other being held by the fellow wearing the Feldmütze.
