During a photoworld exhibit, she was probably the only model available for shoots; hence, there were several of us jostling for position to take her picture. This isn't the best angle but I was avoiding bodies and elbows to get a clean shot. I suppose she is really a painter too.

A location on Strijp-S that I have not visited before. The atmosphere of this location really appealed to us and playing with the available light was a nice challenge.

close your eyes. take a deep breath. let it go. focus your mind in peace…
you can see them appear from the other side for as long as a heartbeat.

Chrissy poses for an outdoor portrait while we were at the Chester Roberts Park, which is a small waterfront park in Port Charlotte, Florida. I had cropped in considerably on this image and so I decided to try ON1 Resize. It did a great job and I'm honestly impressed with the resizing results.
Incidentally, while my beautiful granddaughter has been my model over the years, she is now stepping behind the lens and taking up photography as a hobby. After handing giving her one of my older DSLRs and providing less than an hour of instruction, she got the hang of it and started shooting. Surprisingly, she shoots in the Manual mode, too! She's also learning Lightroom. You can check out some of her work and encourage her at Chrissy's Flickr Page.

A simple photo, where I made use of indirect sunlight, standing on the shadow side of her face and also found the rusty part of the fence to match the color tones in her clothes.

You can see every posture as a pose. You can also use the unconscious postures as a pose.
A mobile can help in an easy way to show those unconscious poses.
It doesn't matter to me whether the model is looking at the cell phone or makes eye contact with the camera for a while. The posture appears normal and natural.

A summery feeling is sometimes enough to let a photo do the talking.
The model was very tall and with those high heels towered over everyone. Nice skeleton in the background. Taken 06.02.06

The contrast between the bright gold tones at Arine compared to the beautiful dark brown tones in the background really appeals to me.
In this shoot I tried out my latest backdrop, in which certain color tones in the backdrop repeat themselves.
In the coming period I will look for more options.
But I'm at peace with this photo.

I usually credit models, photographers and everyone involved, but with this picture it is very confusing and hard to determine roles.
Alurcha Niekerk is a painter, and I pose for him. Taking picture of him at work same time. Result of his work is very impressive, and I'm proudly placing it on the wall in my new home. Curious what's on canvas? Check his gallery.
