Too often we model wear so heavy styling , so incredible make up and our photo are so stretched beyond limits in photoshop .... that I felt the need to regain possession of a simpler dimension .
So that is simply me :)
Model Fairground. Taken at the Pat Collins 150th anniversary event held in Walsall's Arboretum in August 2009.
Thisis a re-work of a photo I took at my first-ever model shoot. I initially posted this straight out of the camera. But this represents my beginner's attempt at cropping, sharpening and teeth whitening.. It looks like it's oversharpened but tha'ts just because I grabbed it from flickr, fixed it and reloaded so it's now just a tiny file enlarged too much.

The fabric is a vintage piece from a reclaimed kimono. I made it into this flower shape one petal at a time.
No surprise - The Beetle is/was the most popular.
During a tour of the historic Ford Piquette plant. It was built in 1904, and was the home of the first Model T in 1908. This was the first property Ford owned, but it was sold in 1910 to Studebaker.

This shot is of a wicker model of the concorde at Manchester Airport viewing park. My good friend was also a model for the day.
The frigate hull form gave the sisters a long & lean shape which, with their powerful Penn steam engine and screw propeller, drove them at speeds of up to 14 knots - 17 with full sail set - an incredible speed for the day!
Despite being the first armoured battleship in Royal Navy history (and second only to the French Gloire for entry into service), the ship was traditional in many respects, especially her sailing rig. Still, she heralded a new age in warship design and by glorious chance this magnificent ship has survived over a century and a half and today lies moored (in beautifully restored condition) at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. A visit to this leviathan should be on every steam-head's bucket list!
