ST Salon, Last of the ones from my recent Salon shoot, this is my favorite of the set of 4,
robist: Used a 43" umbrella soft box with Nikon SB26 set to 1/2 power as a shoot through high angles 20deg down and slightly to camera left, SB 600 set at 1/4 power firing into reflector umbrella, low, angled 20 upward and slightly to camera right. I think I prefer the reduce harshens of the light using the soft box shoot through. Trigger wireless with CTR301's Both about 3 ft from model, background was simplified too for speed of set up and take down, I used a single stand with a 1.5m dia 5 way reflector disc with pure white
This was my last day at Carnevale. I was excited but exhausted too. Time to go home. I spent this last day around the Piazza di San Marco, San Zaccaria, and some of the back alleys in the area. There were a fair amount of models to shoot with and it ended up being a very pleasant day. Life is good!
I took these photos in early March 2019. I hope to return to the 2020 Carnevale next February.

Model: Te Amo (MM#564381)
As always, I'm looking for feedback (be critical, it's cool, just be respectful of the model(s) please!). If you stopped by to take a look, let me know what you think in a comment!
-- the story --
Another from my Gorge series with Te Amo. This was taken before the previously posted shot of Te Amo in the stream. I was looking for a somewhat dark mood that day and found this little alcove in the trees that looked promising. This shot came out a little soft thanks to the fantastic autofocus on the Canon 50mm f/1.4 I use most of the time (okay, I'm being sarcastic;->). In this case though, I think the slight front focus works and adds to the mood of the image. I'd be happy to hear what others think about that though;->
[ Available light only, sorry Strobist buddies, I have some strobed ones in this same location though;-> ]
One of the most eagerly anticipated new Matchbox model for 2015 was the Tesla Model S and it certainly didn't disappoint. The occasional one still hangs on the strips at Morrisons but I managed to get quite a few when they were first launched. The real car is also sold here in the U.K. and I have seen a few on the roads so this model is relevant to us Brits. Great detailing, nice wheels and a deep glossy metallic finish make the sister Hot Wheels version look very cartoonish! Mint and boxed.
