I shot this as practice for my upcoming wildlife photography trip. It's amazing how unsharp my pictures of Cormorants appear to me even when they're in focus.

Il fenomeno migratorio, da sempre è stato un agente fondamentale del processo di trasformazione del mondo.
Ciascuno porta con sé il proprio bagaglio culturale, la propria storia, la lingua, i costumi, le abitudini…le proprie paure determinate anche dalle distanze, dalla lontananza dei propri cari, dal timore di perdere la propria identità .
Ho scelto di raccontare attraverso le voci delle donne e ho aggiunto sul colore una velatura rosa come linguaggio al femminile che accomuna e integra.
Ho ascoltato il loro disagio per il lavoro, per la casa e per le solitudini.
Ho ascoltato i loro bisogni di serenità con la ricerca di aggregazione, del ricongiungimento con la propria famiglia e del diritto ad essere madri.
Siamo donne diverse per le culture e per le storie di cui siamo impregnate ma siamo uguali nei bisogni come linguaggio universale.

I captured this image as one Atlantic puffin was gathering the feathers for nesting material They certainly know how to recycle and it was great fun to see just how many he could get in his mouth !! This image was taken in Newfoundland , Canada !!

Snowy Egrets nest in colonies and are very social on their nesting grounds ... the female lays 3-4 eggs and both adults incubate the eggs for 18-20 days ... like the Great Egret, they can’t recognize each other at the nest ... the mate approaching the nest must do an elaborate greeting ceremony, first by raising the plumbs on its head, and then bowing to the sitting bird ... once the identity is confirmed, the nesting bird leaves the nest for its mate to take over ...
Atravesando "Las Conchas de Haro" vemos a una Civia circulando como material vacÃo entre Vitoria y Logroño. Una pena que esta relación no cuente con ningún tipo de servicio ferroviario de viajeros.
Crossing "Las Conchas de Haro" we see a Civia circulating like empty material between Vitoria and Logroño. It's a shame that this relationship does not have any type of passenger rail service.

Second of four shots of birds carrying nesting material. This big, beautiful hawk was perched atop a power pole, and watched me as I slowed to a stop and poked my lens out through the window of the rolling red Toyota blind. Then away it flew.
This was early April, with a lot of snow still on the ground and reflecting up to illuminate the hawk's underside, creating a bright, cheerful image. At other times of the year, the ground surface is green, or yellow, or brown, and the reflected light is both tinted and dimmer. Love the neutral light from the snow, and how it kept this raptor's white plumage tint-free.
I suppose a natural perch would have been preferable, but there are hundreds of power poles and fence poles for every tree in this part of the world. Of the four shots in this mini-series, only one will feature a bird perching on something that wasn't manmade. So it goes.

This female Northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) is perched on a copper sprinkler with a bit of nest making material. It looks like we'll have one more wave of freezing temperatures before the Equinox next week. The avian yard activity has been very strong of late but no migratory song birds as yet.
The front of the barn and milking parlor at the farm at Taliesin. As all the other buildings on the property, most of the materials were found on site and built by the architecture students.
