Autumn Blaze maple excerpt.. lookin' out my front door.

Japanese Gardens in Fort Worth, TX. My photo club made a trip to capture fall foliage color. We were a few days late for most of it but still managed to find maple trees in color. It was a warm and lovely day with photo club friends! This one is a favorite of mine.

Many roads were blocked that went down into the valley that became the flood control lake that was built in the 1970's. This gated road continues a short distance before reaching the lake shore. Located to the east of Pioneer Village near Harvesburg in southern Ohio.

I can't decide which one of these photos I like the best so I posted both of them!

Looks like the photostream could use a little color, so here are some blueberry bushes in full fiery red below a maple. Came across this on the way to the duck brook bridge area. Acadia National Park, Maine, USA, October 2018

Autumn is now well and truly with us here in Melbourne, and the cooler winds of seasonal change are blowing away the remnants of summer, like it tosses the red, gold and orange leaves that carpet the ground.

The other day was a perfect autumnal day in Melbourne: sunny, but not too bright, warm, but not hot, and perfectly still. Therefore I thought I'd go for a walk and take advantage of the sunny conditions and take some photographs of the wonderful autumn colours in the inner northern Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy. Of course I brought Paddy and Scout with me, and of course, they enjoyed the autumn leaves every bit as much as I did, albeit in slightly different ways!

My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.

He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.

Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.

Early morning at the Tarn area with a nice display of autumnal color on the hills and reflecting in the pond. It was nice and calm that morning. Acadia National Park, Maine, USA, October 2018

This Brown thrasher didn't visit the pond. It and another stayed up in the Maple tree and discussed if the coast was clear. The robins and the blue jays tend to come in groups. The thrashers are less so. The background includes some leaves turning but Fall colors are not expected to be bright because of a fairly serious drought.

This shows the autumn colors and their reflection on the Piscataquis River in Central Maine. (image 34A4156) Please also visit: acadiamagic.com.

Autumn in Melbourne is always beautiful, with many wonderful deciduous trees full of colour like these maple leaves, which are now absolutely ablaze with wonderful shades of red!

Melbourne has experienced a wonderful Indian summer this year, and as a result, not only are there still plenty of beautiful blooms about, but the Autumnal colours are starting to appear.

The Maples are beautiful this year

"The stillness of October gold

Went out like beauty from a face."
