Photograph taken at 13:20pm on Thursday 7th February 2013 off Botany Road and Marine Drive on the sandy, suny shoreline of Botany Bay, the Northern most of seven bays in Broadstairs, Kent, England.
The common whelk (Buccinum undatum), is a large edible marine gastropod in the family Buccinidae, which thrives in colder sea climates around the globe.

Lighting/Strobist: Godox AD600pro with Broncolor softbox with front diffuser with grid mounted on Manfrotto tripod
This is my first attempt at an extreme macro setup, Nikon D90, x2 full extension tube sets, Sigma 24mm prime lens(reversed), 52mm reversing ring, Nikon SC29 extension cord, Nikon SB400 Speedlight, Benbo mini trekker tripod, Manfrotto Ballhead, Giottos Ballhead mounted to a cheap £1 bracket to hold the flash in position. I used a £2 LED torch to illuminate the subject a bit whilst focusing, I had the subject on a white book and moved the book to focus, fine focus can be achieved by gentle pressure on the camera setup.

Not the most clever title I've made but it's a rush job and so is the photo. I'm taking most of my stuff with me up to New England for vacation, as you can see. (I hear it's still cool outside up in Maine). The laptop and lens, for instance, wouldn't be making a "T" if I had more time to mess with the arrangement. Please excuse the bad quality, I had to use an awful little point-and-shoot since my only dSRL needed to be in the photo.
Now to finish packing...
...and yes all this stuff does fit in the bag.

The present lighthouse was built in 1840 although there has been a Lighthouse on the site since 1665 and is now a holiday home.

Just picked up this new ball head for my 2012 Camera gear setup :D
This thing is seriously heavy duty with a huge load capacity, exactly what I wanted for the long lens setups, no more creeping of my giottos head that couldn't handle the weight :)
Now just waiting on my Manfrotto 055XPROB legs to arrive and my new tripod will be complete :D mwhahahahaha :P
