I gave up removing the aircraft trails.
Stacked with starstax, lit with led head torch.
Bloody freezing as well.

Olympus MZD 25mm f/1.2 PRO Review
A Five-Year Photographic Journey with the M4/3 Series.
This is my first go at using a crystal ball. I'd seen people using them and getting some really cool pictures. My first couple of shots were rubbish. Landscapes didn't seem to work as well as having an object in the picture.
I was pretty gutted the lights were off on the wheel. I googled before I left home and it did say the lights were on 24/7.

I was originally enrolled into the GETTY IMAGES collection as a contributor on April 9th 2012, and when links with FLICKR were terminated in March 2014, I was retained and fortunate enough to be signed up via a second contract, both of which have proved to be successful with sales of my photographs all over the world now handled exclusively by them.
On November 12th 2015 GETTY IMAGES unveiled plans for a new stills upload platform called ESP (Enterprise Submission Platform), to replace the existing 'Moment portal', and on November 13th I was invited to Beta test the new system prior to it being officially rolled out in December. (ESP went live on Tuesday December 15th 2015 and has smoothed out the upload process considerably).
With visits now in excess of 18.242 Million to my FLICKR site, used primarily these days as a fun platform to reach friends and family as I have now sold my professional gear and now take a more leisurely approach to my photographic exploits, I would like to say a huge and heartfelt 'THANK YOU' to FLICKR, GETTY IMAGES and everyone who drops by.

Дрво, камен и вода.
“Siwan” connotes equilibrium.
The arrangement of elements in a composition to achieve visual equilibrium.
A perfect balance of physical forces such that when two or more forces act upon a body, the body remains at rest.
In geology, a balance between form and process, e.g., between the resistance of rocks along a river and the erosional force of the water.
“Like a sufi poetry and Christian mysticism of dark ages and burning inquisitions, a Sherpa across mountains of history”.
“Siwan is a musical imagination. The word Siwan is connected to the number three, triangular or equilibrium in various living and nonliving languages”.
One of ECM’s finest releases. Ever.
Okay, it seemed like a good idea at the time...

Featured: BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera mounted on Manfrotto 504HD Fluid video Head. Lens Voigtlander APO Lanthar 180mm f/4 mounted with Metabones Speedbooster Nikon-MFT. High quality Audio provided from Sony Digital Recorder PCM-D50 connected live to the BMPCC for direct input in the video track (no post synchronization needed). I also use a Hoodman Loupe mounted directly on the back LCD display to focus accurately in daylight (same technique as with my D800E). Use of Focus peaking (green color in my settings) seems to work well for fast focus pull.
I am exploring video using the the latest PRORes 422 codec of the BMPCC from BlackMagic Design. With the Metabones Speedbooster my Voigtlander 180mm f/4 is transformed into a 130mm f/2.8 (1 stop gain with x0.7 FL factor). On this sensor with a crop factor close to 3 it ends up being a 380mm f/2.8 Telephoto lens which allows me to shoot birds at a remote distance.

My macro setup involved inverting the center column of my tripod. A nice feature of the Manfrotto X-series tripods is its ability to quickly invert the center column without having to mess with two-piece columns and moving the head around. With the X-series, you simply unblock the center column with the knob, pull it straight up, depress the column release button on the bottom and pull it all the way out. Then insert the column from underneath the tripod base, tighten up the center-column clamp and now you're hanging the column inverted. This gets you right down to ground level or anywhere in between the ground and the top of your legs. It also makes the tripod extremely stable as you're now hanging your weight.

Today I wrapped up my Manfrotto Tripod with handle bar tape. It's done with white synthetic cork from a local bike shop.
It fits very well. I wrapped up one leg shorter so the company logo and serial number is still visible.
Now it's far more pleasant to hold the tripod when it is cold, to carry it on my shoulder and I think it looks cool!

To the centre of the city where all roads meet, waiting for you
To the depths of the ocean where all hopes sank, searching for you
Moving through the silence without motion, waiting for you
In a room with a window in the corner I found truth
In the shadowplay acting out your own death, knowing no more
As the assassins all grouped in four lines, dancing on the floor
And with cold steel, odour on their bodies made a move to connect
I could only stare in disbelief as the crowds all left
I did everything, everything I wanted to
I let them use you for their own ends
To the centre of the city in the night, waiting for you
To the centre of the city in the night, waiting for you

Online images of the Manfrotto 405 and 410 heads don't give you a proper idea of the size difference between these two heads.
So I thought I'd snap both of them together to show the difference.
The 405 (left) is bigger, heavier, smoother, more precise. Is it worth so much more than the 410? I think so - YMMV ;-)
