Due to other priorities and commitments, I was only able to get this shot up now, although this was taken a few months ago in May.
MacRitchie Reservoir is a great place to to get away from the noisy parts of the city, for some peace and quiet. During blue hour, it is surprisngly not very crowded at all, so I was able to experiment as many shots as possible in different settings without too much difficulty.
Alas, I was not able to get a good sunset that day due to very cloudy weather, but the blue hour view more than made up for it.
An Everglades Snail Kite emerging from the shallow creek in the everglades with his snack. This endanger species repeats this process about twice an hour. Taken in the Florida Everglades near the Tamiami Trail using the Canon R5, 600mm F4 iii, and 2xiii on a Manfrotto monopod with a Wimberely Monopod head.

Grand Canal Dock at night. It was a lovely night and one of those rare occasions of almost perfect reflections.
Long Exposure. I mounted my Camera on my Manfrotto 190 tripod and triggered it with a Hahnel wired trigger
It was about time to test my new manfrotto tripod.
This curved road is beautiful by night. I hope I visualized this beauty!
Enjoy!

An adult dunlin in breeding plumage shows the distinctive black belly which no other similar-sized wader possesses. The winter dunlin is basically grey above and white below. Juveniles are brown above with two whitish "V" shapes on the back. They usually have black marks on the flanks or belly and show a strong white wingbar in flight.
Following an overnight wildcamp above castleton I stopped off at Ladybower on the route home to find her presented in all her glory....
Mandarin duck the adult male has a red bill, large white crescent above the eye and reddish face and "whiskers". The male's breast is purple with two vertical white bars, and the flanks ruddy, and he has two orange "sails" at the back (large feathers that stick up like boat sails). The female is similar to the female wood duck, with a white eye-ring and stripe running back from the eye, but is paler below, has a small white flank stripe, and a pale tip to its bill. Both the males and females have crests, but the purple crest is more pronounced on the male.
