Photograph taken at an altitude of nineteen metres, in the height of a foggy golden hour around sunrise at 05:48am, (Sunrise was at 05:47am), on Thursday 27th March 2014 in the grounds of Foots Cray Meadows. This frame was taken on the Eastern bank of the Cray River, beside Five Arches Bridge in Bexley, Kent, England.
An early start and aborted destination due to very thick fog, which had me rerouting over to the lake in the hope of capturing the beauty and atmosphere of the morning.

mattomatto and I took our weekend photo walk into Kensington Gardens (again). Here is the photo of mattomatto with his beloved D300s with 35mm and his new Manfrotto carbon fibre tripod where he is shooting frozen Serpentine.
Online images of the Manfrotto 405 and 410 heads don't give you a proper idea of the size difference between these two heads.
So I thought I'd snap both of them together to show the difference.
The 405 (left) is bigger, heavier, smoother, more precise. Is it worth so much more than the 410? I think so - YMMV ;-)

Photograph taken at an altitude of Thirteen metres at 16:10pm following a lengthy drive up to Wales, on Saturday 8th March 2013 opposite Penryth Avenue and Rhos Promenade at low tide in Colwyn Bay.
Located in the Conwy County Borough on the North coast of Wales, and overlooking the Irish Sea, Bae Colwyn was my first stop to stretch my legs and breathe in the fresh air after a tortuous six hour journey up the M1 and M6 motorways from the South, both motorways on which the simplicity of a straight forward journey can never be taken for granted!

Photograph taken at 13:20pm on Thursday 7th February 2013 off Botany Road and Marine Drive on the sandy, suny shoreline of Botany Bay, the Northern most of seven bays in Broadstairs, Kent, England.
The common whelk (Buccinum undatum), is a large edible marine gastropod in the family Buccinidae, which thrives in colder sea climates around the globe.

Here is my latest 5D video makin monster. Using the Manfrotto Magic Arm to support my new Lilliput 7" HDMI monitor. Got some Redrock gear to mount the camera, follow focus and base plate.
The newest part is the motor and switch to do remote follow focusing. A good friend made that part for me.

May the light be with you.
Just arrived and I am so pleased.....can't wait to start using it seriously.....Happy Xmass everyone (my xmass tree glows in the background hehehe!!!)
It is a Manfrotto 055CLD tripod with a Manfrotto 488RC2 ballhead
Thanks for all of your comments, faves, and invites. I appreciate them!
I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW FLICKR!
This is my first attempt at an extreme macro setup, Nikon D90, x2 full extension tube sets, Sigma 24mm prime lens(reversed), 52mm reversing ring, Nikon SC29 extension cord, Nikon SB400 Speedlight, Benbo mini trekker tripod, Manfrotto Ballhead, Giottos Ballhead mounted to a cheap £1 bracket to hold the flash in position. I used a £2 LED torch to illuminate the subject a bit whilst focusing, I had the subject on a white book and moved the book to focus, fine focus can be achieved by gentle pressure on the camera setup.

Wish I had my 1000mm IGUS slider on me right now :(
Thank you Kyle for letting me use your camera :)
Not the most clever title I've made but it's a rush job and so is the photo. I'm taking most of my stuff with me up to New England for vacation, as you can see. (I hear it's still cool outside up in Maine). The laptop and lens, for instance, wouldn't be making a "T" if I had more time to mess with the arrangement. Please excuse the bad quality, I had to use an awful little point-and-shoot since my only dSRL needed to be in the photo.
Now to finish packing...
...and yes all this stuff does fit in the bag.
Please do not use this photo without my permission, but feel free to ask! :-)
