Moving timbers over to the Flattop to release the Timbercar for other use. The open bunk design of these cars allows cornering at a handy switch to allow hoistless movement of loads.
* Never enough cars, no matter how many you have, grrrr.
Phew! Wasn't sure I was going to get to my LOAD layout today! Managed to tie in the boat prompt too. I somehow missed getting a photo of the water taxi, but here are my girls horsing around while we waited for on last Fall.
A fruitless early start in search of new locations meant I missed a decent looking sunrise but found some nice conditions at Lamaload Reservoir later on. Lamaload was the first place in the UK where Lamas were bred to swim underwater for their waterproof wool. Press L to view large.

RA278 is seen loading at Monkstown Farm in October 1996 after a 6 months of hard work, it is assumed the bus is going to Dun Laoire.
In preparation for the Schkeuditz event this August, I planned a small lay-out consisting of a loading platform. It's now 4 baseplates long, so I am carefully confident that I'll finish it in time. I'm planning on doing most of the detailing irl, that's why the walls are quite plain now
A Herzog ballast train loads at Pipestone, MT on the old Homestake Pass route of the Northern Pacific.
i love a good punch...i used to teach a punch class many moons ago. We finally had a snow day here..it's been about 6 yrs. The kids loved it....about 1/4in of snow and you would have thought it was several feet. Played and played till it melted.
Couldn't think of an instance involving trains at the ScrapHappy Reunion so ... had to deviate from my plan to only scrap those photos this LOAD. 😊 these photos were from later that same summer at the miniature railway in Osoyoos, BC.
How about Meat plus three and dessert?
This page is number 300 for me this year.
Just home from a two day crop. Have a couple of other pages not quite finished. Will tweak them and share tomorrow.
Now for some sleep.

So I have loads of stuff in the cupboard. Most of it’s tat. Tat that I love having but tat nonetheless ♂️. Amongst my stuff I have some real treasures. This is one of these and prob one of my favourite things. Most people will know the story behind the tin and will have no doubt seen one before. Many may have one or know someone that does. There were over two million given to servicemen and women during the First World War. They are not that rare. In fact I believe it took so long to get them out they were still being given out in 1920. I believe there were originally 400,000 given out in the Christmas of 1914 (of which this is one) and having it makes me happy. It contained the two war medals, a Christmas card (not shown) and a bullet. The bullet concealed a pencil. A well used and worn down, wee pencil. I can only begin to imagine that a soldier in WW1 used it to write home over 100 years ago. And that blows my mind . #094 #365days #365photoproject
Loading area for powder and dust products at the Morris & Perry Ltd., Gurney Slade limestone quarry. This independent family owned company supplies asphalt, ready mix concrete and aggregates. I think that this section is operated by the Gurney Slade Lime & Stone Company Limited (a subsidiaty of LKAB Minerals) a group engaged in the manufacture of ground limestone and fertilizer products, the recycling of limestone powders and mineral processing.
