A couple of Station Porters begin loading some of the parcels. It looks as if its going to be a slow process at this point in time!
Both vessels loading at Garrucha Port.
Both are Bulk Carriers loading with Gypsum mined locally at Sorbas. It is delivered to the port by fleets of articulated tipper lorries.
Millions of tonnes of Gypsum are exported annually.
There are always two bulk carriers loading.
Hello Everyone,
Macro Mondays is a weekly theme-based challenge group. This week's challenge was "Forks."
The antique cocktail forks measure at just under the 3" maximum. Many gherkins were eaten in the making of this image! ):0 Happy Macro Mondays! HMM!
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving me a comment. I do love hearing from you!
Have a wonderful day and week ahead!

Loads of steamy taconite pellets head south of Iron Junction under the RT 37 overpass on a clear Winter day in February, 2018
Hope you like this portrait of our dog, Marnie. She takes me out with her every single morning and here she is, focusing hard on something in the distance. I had to grab my chance quickly and get down low, as she's incredibly difficult to get in the right pose. She moves her head so suddenly so I got loads of her all blurred ! She's 6 now, and has been with us for just under a year. She feels fully at home, her confidence has grown incredibly. Loving and intelligent and .. oh I must stop singing her praises. We all love our animals, but for me she's pure joy and yes, she's a real lady !
If you have time, she's best viewed large for all the details.

I love watching chipmunks gathering the food and packing it to the full capacity of their cheeks :) This one was no exception ;))

In Friesland is skûtsjesilen (sailing with 14 historical flat bottom boats) one of the Top Event for Dutch tourism. Skûtsjesilen is a synonym for sailing competitions with old freight ships. These flat bottom boats were built at the beginning of the last century for the transportation of peat, manure and other loads to the farms. For this purpose the ships had to sail in shallow waters. That’s why these ships had to be built long and flat. Speed and manoeuvrability is characteristic of a skûtsje and therefore is this type of ship especially suitable for sailing competitions. To anticipate on supply and demand quickly and adapt to changing weather conditions was a daily struggle in those days. In difficult times the skippers mostly sailed on the initiation of the local innkeeper to make some extra money. Then, family and furniture were removed from the skûtsje and left on the shore.
N.B.
All races of all 14 skûtsjes can be directly followed Worldwide on the live stream “You Tube” and the app “Track&Trace”.
There were loads of windsurfers at Kimmeridge when we visited as it was blowing a howling gale. Some of them were a long way out to sea which surprised me.
The coastline in front is all MOD land and can only be crossed at weekends and bank holidays. If you are feeling energetic you can walk all the way from here to Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door which is about 6 1/2 miles away I think.

A feature if Iceland is the amount of ice that is visible. It creates many interesting patterns and is of different colours too.
The classic laker Arthur M. Anderson is finishing taking on a load of ore for Indiana Harbor and will soon clear the dock and make their way out to Lake Superior. Duluth, MN 6/30/2023
Retired tanker truck on display on a centennial farm outside Milledgeville, IL.
This scene last winter...
Have a great truck Thursday all!
Yet another picture of my DIY square aperture experiment. Since the square bokeh looks pretty nervous I've tried to frame the marguerite with the darker and smoother part of the bokeh. I've chosen this title since images often look pixelated while being loaded, where the bokeh-squares look to me like big pixels. Hope you like it! HBW!
Photo taken three years ago, on a miniature Dahlia in our garden. This mini Bee carries huge loads of pollen in her pollen baskets, compared to its size.
During my 2017 visit back home to Colorado I had some time to spend along the Jointline. It had been a number of years since I had visited and I definitely noticed some changes. Such as this bridge across the tracks in Sedalia, a nice addition for sure. BNSF coal loads climb towards the summit of the Palmer Divide at Palmer Lake. The SD70Ace was a nice bonus.
Four Monongahela Super 7-23B’s are creeping around the loop at Blacksville Number 2 Mine, flood loading a long train of hoppers.
BLOL 7591 (ex NP GP9) & BLOL 7504 (original IC GP9, now a GP10) loading grain cars for the CN up in Charolette, IL. This was back in 2017 when it seemed to be easier to catch matching set of Bloomer power & catch bigger trains. Still to this day, I love shooting these guys.

for the larger the load,
the greater will be the profit upon profit."

As seen from I79, symbol U702 with 96 taconite loads crosses the Kimbles Viaduct along the Porter Cutoff east of Mercer. The bridge crosses Mills Creek, Scrubgrass Road, and the abandoned right of way of the old B&LE main that the present line replaced.
