A coal train with Conrail and CSX power heads north on the ex-C&O at Greenlawn Avenue while a northbound empty train with Conrail power and hoppers heads south on the adjacent ex-NYC Western Branch.
I was bound and determined to capture a Bee in flight with my new EOS 7D over this last weekend. It took me awhile to get the exact shot I was looking for. But after waiting a being patient, I caught this little Bee gathering some pollen in mid flight. He then sat hoovering to transfer it on to his back legs before going in for some more on this flower.

The painting in the background I did several years ago; it was fun. I think I'll resurrect that activity and add it to my "creativity" list...just as soon as LOAD mini is over.
Loaded coal train U54 has finished loading at the Wellmore loadout on the Levisa Branch and is easing into Weller Yard before heading north to Ought One and the Pokey.
565 sitting in the siding near the end of the Castlecliff branch, Wanganui, waiting for more containers to be transhipped onboard from the container terminal out of sight at the rear.
This train will then run direct to Wellington port.

I needed a cargo for this truck and it was either going to be a tracked log loader similar to this
(richardsmachinery.us/ads/john-deere-2454-d-tracked-log-lo...)
or a wheel loader
(www.transdiesel.com/news/Volvo%20L250H%20log%20loader)
Seeing as these are made on LDD fiddling around trying to place track pieces is difficult so I went with the wheel loader version.
It was initially a Volvo 250H but while I was designing it became a generic log loader, maybe a mix of a few brands.
I love to make to do lists and have several places where I do that. Unfortunately I also love to fall in and out of love with keeping a planner. These are a few of my planners and notebooks. I may have a problem!!
Just a few months after the UP purchase of the C&NW this train looks like a typical North Western ore train. Change was coming though as the loads would meet a train of empties powered by a pair of Union Pacific SD40-2s at Little Lake.
Taken in Port Moody, BC, it's a shot of the ship loading dock near the Pulp Mill area. The three grey stacks on upper right are at the old oil refinery when this area became populated; I believe they are not in use any longer. I always loved this 'oldie' (2009) water scene, took this shot from my south west facing balcony and before I had my zoom lens.
Little red end loader, can be converted from digger bucket to fork. Based on a design by Wigboldy www.flickr.com/photos/thirdwig/ who has made free instructions available. Check out original design here: www.flickr.com/photos/thirdwig/52079046603/in/album-72177...

Technicians load cargo into the Cygnus space in the Horizontal Integration Facility Friday, July 14, 2023, at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. Northrop Grumman’s 19th contracted cargo resupply mission with NASA to the International Space Station will deliver more than 8,200 pounds of science and research, crew supplies and vehicle hardware to the orbital laboratory and its crew. The CRS-19 Cygnus spacecraft is named after NASA astronaut Dr. Laurel Clark who flew aboard Columbia STS-107, and is scheduled to launch at 8:31 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023. The title came to me the instant I saw these blue palettes piled high on the small loading dock of a local grocery store.
Louis Loader peels away having scored a late winner for Malvern Town.
The level of football may not be that high, but the joy of scoring a goal in driving rain is no different.
Loads from the Toyota Tundra truck plant come off the Corpus Christi Sub and on to the Austin Sub in downtown San Antonio behind clean power. September 2017.
While the city around them turns in for the night, the activity on the waterfront isn’t quite done as CN dock crews toil away to get another load of taconite into the Wilfred Sykes. Usually not a common visitor to the twin ports, the late season taconite runs usually bring the Sykes up this way a few times much to the enjoyment of ship watchers around Lake Superior. Of note, this photo was taken inside CN property with permission, so this angle doesn’t get out as frequently.
Perhaps not that photogenic but I was pleased to finally get some shots at the loading bay at Gwuan-Cae-Gurwen (GCG). 66026 has just arrived from Immingham with empty hoppers on the 4V32 to load up with anthracite. It will take about 2.5 hours to load the train which will return to Immingham on the 6E09. Poignant, as this this is one of the last trains to GCG now that the coal reserves are near depletion.
