LMS Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 45305 pulled the Coast to Coast railtour from Liverpool to Scarborough the following day but first it had to be prepared and serviced by the 5305LA support crew. This was done at the Crewe Heritage Centre a day earlier and here the tender is being coaled by a grab-attached coal lorry.

L.M.S. diesel electic locomotive 10001 on the 'Royal Scot' London - Glasgow (or vice versa) express at an unknown location (maybe London Euston?), unknown date.
From Wikipedia - 'British Railways Class D16/1 or 10000 and 10001 were the first mainline diesel locomotives in Great Britain. They were built by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway at its Derby Works, using the EE16SVT 1600 hp diesel engine with electric transmission, in association with English Electric and the Vulcan Foundry, with whom the LMS had had a long working relationship.'

"The Twins" Now finished! www.davidheyscollection.com/userimages/gec-alstom-ivatt-t...
Managed to get 3 working front LED lights on 10000.
Both have 9v motors in. The pics dont really show it but I managed to get hold of some metalic brushed aluminium vinyl for the numbers and lettering, which looks very nice IRL and true to proto. 3mm tube is LEGO metalic silver, again the pics dont show it well.
I've also tried to include the subtle differences between the engines ;)
These are the first 7 wide full size diesels I have done (they were sort of a test to see if I can re-visit the class 37 and 40) and also now the longest at 2 or 4 studs (cant remember) longer than the Pullman DMU units.
LMS Royal Scot No.46100 passes Pugham Farm, with the 13:30 Kingswear to Crewe working,on the 15th of September 2021.
This version of the railcar has a form of close coupling to improve accuracy. The original design had a 1 stud gap but testing this highlighted a problem on LEGO's tight R40 curves, so it has had to be extended to 2 studs.
10000 now finished and 10001 on the verge of completion, so a few detail shots for now.
More pics to follow when I get chance to photo them both together
