Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.

I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn’s rain.

When you awaken in the morning’s hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.

I am not there. I did not die.

This is the last wish of Aimee Blaisdale to me. She asked me for another couple shooting with ScarlettLily, but before I could do that she passed away. I used those pictures I already had of those two. Aimee turned 22.

I feel deep with all that loved her in RL and Second Life.

Magic autumn light filters through the trees.

Glorious sun beams casting their magic over the autumnal landscape at sunrise.

No, that Crow is not photoshopped. He just happened to be there at that moment which was all a bit eerie.

Last October we drove to the Hope Valley in California to see the fall colors in the Sierra Nevada mountains. On the way we passed by a walnut tree farm near Lockeford, where we noticed a lot of dust in the trees. We stopped, it was a good photo opportunity! It turned out that the walnuts just were getting harvested. One machine drove along the nicely arranged trees to shake them one by one to make the nuts fall to the ground, another machine arranged the fallen nuts and debris in the middle between tree rows, and a third machine scooped it up. All that activity created a lot of dust, to the delight of us three photographers.

I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

Happy Fenced Friday!

Long exposure of the A9 a highway that leads to Alkmaar and the AZ football stadium in the background.

Wished the wind weren't blowing so much! I did luck out with nearby campers cooking their breakfast and creating just the right amount of smoke in the air.

Beautiful rays of light during sunset over on my local beauty spot of Dunstable Downs whilst walking the dog.

Or an alternative title " Beam me up Scotty"!

A shot taken on the 4th of February 2017, a day I will remember for a very long time. Because on this day everything was perfect to get rays of light for a very long time. We do not have this really often here in South-East Bavaria. Together with my wife and two of our dogs I shot hundreds of photos. Only a few doesn´t survived the sorting. For me, a perfect day in a photographers life.

One of many in a series which will come (a few of them I´ve already posted since then, but most of them not).

Taken in a Forest near my hometown with my Sony A7II and the FE 24-70/2.8 GM. The perfect lens for running through the woods :)

'Explosion ... of Light' On Black and larger.

As threatened, here is another sunbeam catch from yesterday.

Yesterdays is here On Black

Misty morning on the edge of the forest

The light shines through the window onto the mantelpiece. It's a gentle light and it slowly warms up its surroundings. Ages ago the old farm house was in full bloom and there were sounds of horses and people tending them. It was a happy place but at the same time it was a harsh and hard place. Its still the same light that shines through the window but the people and horses are now gone. When you look through the window you feel like you looking into the past. You can imagine what they saw and what they felt, ages ago while tending to their chores. It's a window from the past.
